I feel like we barely talked about Malladus at all. Instead we just went over every other game instead
@Tilda_the_mage3 жыл бұрын
Really this video was about Force. Demise was mentioned more then Malladus. It’s probably because of what little information we have on the Demon tribe, and on its rank system. So far we’ve met; Demise: Demon King Malladus: Demon King Majora: Demon King? Ganondorf: Demon King (not naturally, became it once using the Triforce of power to turn into Ganon) Yuga: Demon King (Becomes one after fusing with Ganon) Giraham: Demon Lord Chancellor Cole: Demon Lord? Bellum: Demon (Phantom class) Batreaux: Demon Vaati: Demon (Becomes one, originally Picori) Skeldritch: Achient demon titan… dead Demon Train: Demon (Tank/Train class) Chances are, the rank of a Demon more in reference to its power level, not their status within the tribe. Demon Kings are the most powerful, and can only be harmed by special weapons which use Force in one state or another. Demon Lords are the right hands of the Demon Kings. They are more powerful then your regular Demon, and can take on a human-like form. Invariably the Demon Lord aims to free their masters, or otherwise aid in their conquest. Then Demons are generally powerful creatures. They serve nobody, and only listen to a Demon King or Lord. If left unchecked they will ravage a world, feeding off the Force of other beings. Some are more chill then others, Batreaux for instance only feeds off people’s force from a distance, not directly trying to remove it from people. Others are more aggressive, Bellum for instance keeps a pocket dimension hostage, feeding off the force of the dimension’s deity, and anybody who slips inside the dimension. Vaati is not as aggressive as Bellum, although he still goes for the largest deposit of Force he can find.. and his desire to feed on it turns him into a demon. Skeldritch was a tactical play. He was tasked with killing those who were forging the bow of light in the deserts of new Hyrule. Having broken into the Pyramid stronghold, he made his way to the basement and killed those who sought to make the weapon capable of killing his master. He was partially successful, the people who made the bow never got it out the pyramid… however he found himself trapped within the pyramid itself and slowly starved to a skeletal state, feeding of the life force of those he killed, until the supply ran dry and he was forced to slumber until a new source of food entered. The Demon Train is essentially a massive tank. It’s purpose is to act as a damage sponge in times of war, and help decimate the enemy factions. After Malladus was sealed though, it was left wandering about the demon realm until recruited by Cole.

No kidding. An when the subjet of Malldus is brought up being the evil of gannon reborn. Nintendoblackcrisis glossis over that since, there was no connection since, the Gannon curse, demise cruse, and what Malladus wanted to do was different. An if the video did try to connect Malladus to Gannon's evil. Well, there's a ton of plot holes, That would make the video more of fan fic. @@sujimatsubackupaccount194 I agree with his Theory but I also disagree. Malladus is a little bit different compare to Bellum and Vaati. Bellum is like a living Demon Phantom who became stronger because of the Life Force he ate. Vaati transformed first into an Archmage with the magical Cap than in the Final Battle with the Help of Zeldas Light Force he transformed into a full Demon. Malladus is stated as "The Demon King" but there can only be one Demon King to rule all. According to the Zelda Lore Demise was the Real Demon King and Ganondorf became the Demon King because of the Triforce of Power in combination with the fact that he is Demises Reincarnation himself. So when it comes to Malladus. He could be the "Curse of Demise" himself in an embodiment form. What I mean with that is in Wind Waker Ganondorf wasn't really that Evil.. He knew that the World and the God had chosen him as the Villain and he has no other choice since he lost all of his people from the Gerudo Tribe and he only wanted to have a better life forces people but there are dead. So maybe after he returned after Ocarina of Time before the Goddesses flooded Hyrule he also lost his "Ganon Form" his Demon Form as we saw that he not uses that form in Wind Waker. So basically he wasn't cursed in the Adult Era anymore. He only had a fair Sword Fight in the End and died once and for all in this Timeline. So before Ganondorf returned the Curse of Demise has no body anymore that's why it created his own Body, Malladus. That is the reason why Malladus only wants Chaos and Destruction..nothing more. We don't know how long the Tower of the Gods really was at it's place. Of course before Tetra and Link arrived and created New Hyrule. So Malladus is Demises Curse himself. Thats my Theory. What is also possible is that Malladus was created by the rest of Demises evil power in the Master Sword but because Demise came back as Ganondorf, Malladus is only born to bring all to Chaos.

This actually made me think of something: if the Triforce is concentrated force, then is it the source of life itself? In Lorule, the world literally falls apart without the Triforce. We take Zelda's word on how the world formed in Ocarina of Time, but could she be off? Did the Goddesses make the Triforce to provide life and emotion to the world? That would explain why it talks in LTTP; it's made of everything that makes people in Hyrule alive, so of course it would also be alive.
@tinyetoile55033 жыл бұрын
My theory is that, in OoT it's mentioned that the goddesses descended upon "chaos" and created Hyrule out of it, so the Triforce is basically the pillar that keeps Hyrule seperate from chaos. Without it, as in Lorule, the land begins to return to chaos (thus explaining the crumbling). This is pure headcanon though lol

@@tinyetoile5503 well in twilight princess there is great swaths of land missing. Ganondorf, namely the triforce of power, isn't in hyrule. However since midna never mentions the triforce, its very possible she doesn't even know what it is. Ganondorf's piece isn't of the twilight realm and thus doesn't restore the land in said realm. If you notice, there is never direct sun, the planet is likely skewed and position where they never get direct sun anymore--nayru, minimum land except for what the castle rests on and maybe a few pockets here or there--din, and life, farore. It's very possible like in link between worlds, their triforce was destroyed and the world is much much closer to the brink of dying because of that. Lbw was basically a what if scenario if they did know of the triforce's existence.
@tinyetoile55033 жыл бұрын
@@ShadowSkyX ehhh I don't think that's so much the case- as long as the triforce is intact, so is the land. After all, Termina doesn't have a triforce at all and isn't crumbling, so it's possible it's on a world-by-world basis (and do not come at me with any "but termina was all a dream") and the twilight realm seems to be... less of a seperate universe and more of a different layer of the world of hyrule? Like the Silent Realms or the Sacred Realm. The triforce can stay in those just fine without the world falling apart, so since the land of twilight is also a Realm I think that also applies to it.

This video made me think of this theory I thought of a little while ago and maybe it’s something for your next one: The reason why the Gods left the Triforce behind is because it keeps the world that they created in tact. It's also interesting that not only is the life force of Zelda in minish cap similar to the Triforce but the graditude crystals are a similar color suggesting all 3 are connected. So I guess the triforce is the most powerful, and possibly biggest, due to being the life force of the golden goddeses that created most if not everything then Hylia, who I think was less powerful as well as it being diluted due to her becoming mortal. This definitely suggests that graditude crystals are life force too, due to mortal races being less powerful and them requiring alot of graditude to create they are harder which could explain why the sides are pointy.

There's also the Sand of Hours of the same golden shade which prevents the damaging aura from affecting Link, as well as the time-altering properties (and biological processes, i.e. life, are heavily time-sensitive); I'd argue that the Sand of Hours is, in fact, composed of the same magic/matter/whatever as the Tri/Lifeforce. It's crazy how well Zelda games are interlinked: despite the timeline being a hot mess, there aren't a lot of actual retcons, so the earlier games still serve as a valid sources of lore.

The Link from A Link Between Worlds travels between Hyrule and Lorule through what is directly described as dark fissures.

I do wonder what demise's grudge against the gods is, what did the goddesses of Hyrule do that sparked so much hatred towards them? We have seen very few demons that are actually nice (or perhaps just a single demon, idk) so it is clearly possible to quell this hatred, and that it is possible to stop the curse before it becomes too powerful, especially because of Zelda's sealing powers, generation after generation the blood of the Goddess grows thinner in the royal family, and the power of the curse's hatred only grows every time it returns, despite the spirit of the hero having the possibility to always return, there will reach a point that even that will be enough to defeat Ganon (or whatever demon desires to bring Hyrule or whatever other land to ruin and rule the world), in fact we have seen this happen twice already, once on ocarina with the timeline where the hero of time loses to Ganon, and the second on breath of the wild, this cycle can only go for so long before the hatred becomes completely invincible. There is most likely a way to break the curse, but we don't know it yet, and neither does anyone in Hyrule, it's an ancient curse, fueled by a grudge against the goddesses, and no one has any idea on how to stop or make that grudge vanish, but it is clearly possible given how there's at least one friendly demon out there. If such a thing were to be a plot of a Zelda game, it would probably be the end of the demon tribe/demise's curse arc for the Zelda series, possibly the hardest Zelda game to be made, to represent the difficulty of stopping this cycle once and for all, most likely using time travel to go to the time before the goddesses even arrived and kill demise (or whatever made demise/demon tribe) before the arrival of the goddesses. Much like how Metroid Dread is described as the end of the Metroid/X parasite saga. Or who knows, perhaps Link becomes demise from going back in time to attempt to stop this curse and he ends up becoming the very thing that caused it's beginning in the first place, transformed into a twisted version of himself after the goddesses created everything on top of him.

Not gonna lie that seems like an idea that isn't all too impossible for it to be true I mean Demise owns a master sword of his own and considering there's no legend of a evil master sword being made that blade could be one and the same after let's say Link was corrupted and transformed into demise

Honestly, I’m glad you’re talking about this game now. While Spirit Tracks felt admittedly weird to me, I loved all three of the games of the Windwaker serial (I’m gonna call it the Windwaker serial, since they shot off from that game), it felt so weird, so funny, so scary, it felt like a lot at once. Plus… it was refreshing to see Link express, and have a family connection that gave him motivation, even having a hero starting from complete scratch. Not born into it, not trained for it, he started from scratch, and earned his place as a hero. And I loved it.

I think Malladus is call "Demon king" because he took that position in the demonic hierarchy after Demise's death. On the other hand, Ganon is a "Demon king" for being the reincarnation of the former one.
@lookslikenik6931 Жыл бұрын
I agree with his Theory but I also disagree. What is also possible is that Malladus was created by the rest of Demises evil power in the Master Sword but because Demise came back as Ganondorf, Malladus is only born to bring all to Chaos.

the fact that the Demon Train has a similar face to Ganon and that Malladus has a gem piece right on his forehead similar to Ganondorf and is located in the same spot as Demise's forehead scar made it obvious that the Malladus and Cole fusion is meant to be the reincarnation of Ganon/Demise after the events of Wind Waker (but we also can't forget the blue skin featured in the downfall timeline Ganon)

And was Fi always a part of the sword or was she created after Hylia chose to become a mortal. Also, if the Goddess Sword was originally Hylia's then what sword did the original Hero use?

Phantom Hourglass & Spirit Tracks deserve the Switch Treatment. They should be released alongside Wind Waker HD for a pseudo-trilogy of games. It would sell like absolute hot-cakes. But we all know Nintendo makes the most bone headed decisions when it comes to selling their own flagship series.

@@DaShikuXI They would have to replace it with drawing with the analog stick or the motion controls. And they could implement the stamp system like in BOTW for some things. It would be a work-around, but I don't think those aspects alone should preclude them from the remasters they deserve.

I feel like the whole "everyone has a sacred power, it's their life force!" bit was almost meant to just be a cute line, but it honestly provides such a perfect scientific and spiritual basis to the whole series. Zelda works really well by being just that tiny bit vague and letting us all theorize, but if every game in the series just pointed at that line and said "yes that's definitely canon", it would work REALLY well. That's some good material to work off of!

Good theory of Malladus' role. I would like to point out that Ganondorf only becomes a demon king after obtaining the power of the Triforce. It even makes this claim in the Hyrule Historian. Hope to see more of your work towards the series.

What about a theory over what the world would be like if they didn't seal Ganon, and kept the cycle going? It seems like if they didn't seal him the malice wouldn't be so vast because this single Ganon wouldn't have thousands of years to gather it. So if they killed him, would there he less malice?
@TheRealRidley123 жыл бұрын
Assuming you're referring to Ganondorf (?) in the Era of Calamity Ganon, technically yes. However, if he was killed the first time instead of being sealed, he would just reincarnate.

I got something that supports this theory. You know how Batreaux (hope I spelled that right) turns into a human when you give him enough crystals? Well, then why wouldn’t anyone else that gets enough force turn into a human when they get enough too? And to me it seems like he got less than most if not all villains in the series. So, why wouldn’t it have the same effect on them? Well, if the triforce really is just the force of the three goddesses and it makes your wish come true… Batreaux’s wish was to be human. Other villains wish for something else, usually more power. And it just grants them that wish. That’s why it has different effects for everyone. That’s my take on it anyways.
@TheGoodOldBen23 жыл бұрын
So you're telling me... That technically by acquiring enough divine poder you can create your own Triforce... That would be cool to see in a zelda game, a villain instead of trying to get the Triforce he or she tries to create a new one and then destroy the past one

Just saying, since Phantom Tracks was mentioned, it would be also if like BotW 2 had similar “Phantom Knights”, but perhaps fallen commanders or great warriors of hyrule, now mere puppets to the malice infesting their remains. Extra points if their soul appears and teaches Link a new sword technique before asking you to free their brothers and sisters in arms from their fate as well. Hell, bring back the Dark Hammers, Dark Nuts, and Iron Knuckles. We need some terrifying humanoids that aren’t a bunch of banana grubbing emo kids in pajamas.

It seems like it's also related to the animating force involved with yokai or toy story. The bonds and emotion that you share with others is force or malice, and it can bring inanimate objects to life. If it's positive (force), the yokai is friendly, if it's negative (malice), the yokai is vicious. You also see this kind of setup in seven deadly sins.

I think the concept of force is anything in the Zelda universe that can affect reality - Its an aspect of the world in which these games are set and represents the ability of those attributes to alter it positively - Gratitude, light, Power, Wisdom, Courage - but also remember that Lorule has its own triforce - with its pieces representing three more unspecified qualities. In the case of the triforce I think they were intially named that purely because they were triangular - however I think Adventure of Link retconned that - and subsequent games solidified the idea that these three particular manifestations of specific forces act as a particularly powerful trinity due to their affinity with the creator goddesses. When we consider that these are positive forces - the notion of malice exists as a counterpoint - a negative force. It's worth also remembering that the secondary villains of Zelda titles so far have links to the horsemen of the apocalypse... Deth-I - Death Bellum - means War Malladus - Not far from Malady - meaning Disease or pestilence. Ganon meanwhile is routinely equated in the games with Greed which could be an allusion to something that causes famine or want.
