Is there a monthly premium to enroll in Medicare?
@medicareadvisor56573 жыл бұрын
"Medicare Part A is free for most people but supplemental plans do cost a premium (like Medicare Part B). For most people, the monthly premium for Part B is $148.50 (subject to change without notice), and you will need to enroll in both Parts A and B of Medicare to qualify for this rate. You can reduce your out-of-pocket costs and any co-pays by buying a Medigap supplement policy. Thanks for the question and comment! If you have more questions, call us at 1-800-273-9066. We will be happy to answer them for you. "

Who does Medicare cover?
@medicareadvisor56573 жыл бұрын
"Medicare is a federal health insurance program for people aged 65 or older, some disabled individuals, and people with permanent kidney disease. Medicare Part A covers hospital stays, skilled nursing facility care after a hospital stay of at least three days, home health care visits if the person is eligible for Social Security disability benefits. Medicare Part B covers doctor services when medically needed in order to perform lab work, diagnosis, and treatment plan recommended by the doctor. However, one may choose not to take advantage of Medicare Part B if he/she prefers to pay out-of-pocket for these same services instead (in which case his/her healthcare company should also provide reimbursement). Thanks for the question and comment! If you have more questions, call us at 1-800-273-9066. We will be happy to answer them for you. "

Can you get Medicare benefits before 65 years old if you develop a disability?
@medicareadvisor56573 жыл бұрын
If you are a disabled person, then yes. If you have been previously diagnosed with a specific disability, your Medicare coverage will begin two years from the date of diagnosis or from the permanent cessation of work or from an injury/illness which has resulted in total and complete inability to engage in any employment for one year. In order for this to be applicable, though, it must have happened more than one year ago. Thanks for the question and comment! What are the basics of Medicare?
@medicareadvisor56573 жыл бұрын
"Medicare is the U.S. healthcare program for people who are 65 or older, certain younger adults with disabilities, and people with End-Stage Renal Disease (ESRD). It is federally funded through old age social security in which you pay in when you working in employment in various states. So essentially if you have paid in enough to receive this benefit then once age criteria have been met then it becomes eligible. It is also different depending on whether or not one itemizes their taxes where they can deduct what they are paying towards Medicare from their annual income. Thanks for the question and comment!
