So many fascinating sites in Misamis Occidental. I'm looking forward to when you return there so we can get a more in depth tour of the city and the beautiful sites. Like you, I'm a huge fan of the heritage homes and buildings. Love to see the old structures preserved! Makes me feel as if I've stepped back into the past to experience a bit of what it was like then.

I love seeing towns like these where old houses and structures still exists. It reminds me of my hometown during my childhood. Nowadays my hometown nothing like rural area it once was. Houses are built one inch from another. So crowded. You can barely see any greenery. Thank you for this vlog 11:20 what a lovely church.

Again, another great video , Anselm. The fort in Ozamiz is actually pronounced "cota" (coat-a), by most of the locals. I lived there in 2007 for 6 months, and returned several times until 2010. Even with the threat of guerillas in 2007-2010, I found Misamis Occidental and Zamboanga Del Norte to be very safe, affordable and accommodating. The airport, Labo Airport in Ozamiz, was closed in 1995 and did not reopen until July 8, 2007. Travel to Ozamiz from Cebu or Manila was typically by the Superferry or flying into Dipolog City, prior to the reopening of the airport in Ozamiz. There are numerous quaint resorts along the coast, between Ozamiz and Dipolog City. There is a lot of beauty there, and most will find it an affordable side-trip while visiting Mindanao

My great great grandfather was Quanah Parker. He was 1/2 white. That's why a lot of his descendants don't have such strong native features. And I'm only 25% anyway. The rest is mostly Scottish. (Good thing Welshmen have no bad feelings! 🙃 ) And, if you get to try frybread, be sure to also try it indian taco style!!! Also, tartar sauce is ok, but malt vinegar is Da Bomb!
