Great timing! I started taking Modafinil, prescribed by my doctor, I'm taking 200mg twice daily, for treating hypersomnia. But I think I have developed tolerance, for example, I took my second dose today then I slept soon after taking it

Tolerance is possible. Discuss this with your doctor you may need to increase dose or change treatment.

I have ADD and its worse now that im older with memory issues,my Dr prescribed provigil although I was asking for Adderal,yes all my life I had struggled with no meds. Provigil works for focus and false energy,like caffeine but doesnt cause a crash.

Thank you! Yes, that jittery effect is more prominent with Adderall and less with Modafanil so you may get a similar response with less side effect.

@@gustiable That can be a factor, so just be honest with your provider, explaining that you have tried Adderall and had unpleasant side effects and would like to switch to Modafinil to reduce those side effects. Where do you live?

No, this is a stimulant, which can make anxiety worse.

Yes it is off label and only used as 2nd or 3rd line treatment in pediatric population. Reports of greater risk for skin rash and serious complications in pediatric population.

I have sleep apnea and it gives me adhd symptoms and depression can it help

It is possible that modafanil can help, but after you have tried and used a CPAP for the sleep apnea, as it won't correct that. It will only help to keep you awake during the day.
