Join me for today's episode of the Bernina L 460 Serger Manual. I'm so excited to share this patented feature because it makes short work of adjusting the quality of your stitch when the looper threads are hanging off the edge of the fabric... Or if the fabric is bunched up under the looper threads.

Thank you, very informative and so clearly and understandable explained. I‘ll go to my machine right away and try it. I would love to have more practical advice for rollseam in different materials, specially different kinds of jerseys, if it is possible.

How do you think the Bernina sergers compare to the Babylock sergers? Isn't this the same feature as the plus/minus lever on my Evolution?
@JSternDesigns
@JSternDesigns 3 жыл бұрын
Both Bernina and Baby Lock are excellent sergers. The +/- dial on my Ovation (very similar to the Evolution) is a fine tension adjustment making the thread tensions a little tighter or looser. The MTC lever moves the stitch finger in or out to create less or more width. Hope that helps! Thank you for watching! PS. I did a whole series of videos on the Baby Lock Ovation ... @@JSternDesigns Okay, thank you. I see that both you and Gail Yellen are now using the Berninas and I wondered what's up. The reviews about the Berninas say they're a lot quieter and that the foot pedal has a smoother response. Don't know if that's a good enough reason to trade up yet for several grand.

@@denises7388 ...My Friend Eric let me borrow his Bernina L 460 because I needed a basic serger to shoot a new class for Patternreview.com. While I had it, I decided to shoot some tutorials for my KZbin Channel too.... Now it's back with Eric, so I'll be using my lovely Ovation for future videos :)))
