I can't imagine my life without dogs in it. We were dogless for about 3 months a few years ago when we lost both of our old dogs 3 weeks apart. It was one of the toughest things we've been through to lose our two dogs so close together. Three months later, we ended up with two dogs we hadn't planned. One was the best birthday gift I've ever received from my brother and sister-in-law (an adorable little poodle mix puppy) and two weeks later a call from our vet about a little Havenese puppy in need (either we took him or he was going to be put to sleep, so of course we took him--had several genetic disorders that would require expensive veterinary care and would make him a "special needs" dog--he's blind in one eye and his left rear leg is shorter than the other three legs) got us our second dog. Two years later, Bliss joined the herd. Two cats complete the family.

I can see the Border in her - she's smart, leaner body with a leaner muzzle (than the Cattle Dog) and the fluffy tail. She is a beauty and so sweet! So exciting! My big brother is a breeder/trainer of Border Collies. They are truly the smartest and most intelligent dogs because there DNA has not been altered for anything. They come in all different colors, patterns, sizes, hair length, hair texture… Because they have only been breed in the most natural ways, the breed has remained the same throughout their existence. They are the only breed with this distinction. My brother is a very proud Border Collie advocate and he also has many degrees in his field. He started the first accredited Border Collie training class at the college level in OK. At the same time built an amazing equine program at the college. I’m so proud and thankful for my brother and the impact his talents and his ability to teach so many beautiful young people, who will continue his legacy. He’s one in a million.

Good Morning Renee, Randy & Lola. So exciting to see what Lola’s DNA is going to show. I did guess that she was a cattle dog. I follow a channel from Australia that has taken in about 15 strays. Some that had problematic issues…& Luke Evans managed to train all the bad habits out of them. They used to have a Doggy Daycare…& COVID changed their facilities into a rescue for some unadoptable dogs. They have a beautiful Australian Dog…even a couple of Dingos. I love their channel & have been following them for years. (It’s called “The Farm” now.) Thank you for sharing this video with us. 👍🇨🇦😊

Lola is so beautiful!! And has a beautiful personality. Didn't surprise me she was Australian cattle & border collie. I adopted a black & white dog & she was Australian shepherd, cattle, border collie & German shepherd. Had the spotted legs, big fluffy tail. She was about 60 pounds & followed me everywhere. She was a senior dog & was more calm. We had 5 years before she she was diagnosed with cancer. We had to put her down. 😢 She was about 16 years old. Such a sweet girl she was. But I can the Belgian Malenoise is Lola's face for sure. The police & military use this breed alot.

I think Lola is a very loved member of your family! That’s her best trait! Looks like she might have Randy wrapped around her finger! Lol 🐕 I have a full blooded miniature dachshund. She is very smart and spoiled little girl. I thought you would love this story. She eats her dinner at 4:00 everyday and what is so funny is we say she can tell time because everyday she is waiting at her bowl at 4:00. We couldn’t figure out how she knew it was her dinner time. Until a few years ago we noticed that everyday the elementary school bus 🚌 comes by at 4:00. She sits on the back of our chair and looks out the window. So the minute that school bus goes by she runs to her bowl. Lol Our family and friends think it’s so funny that we tell them that she can tell time. When they see her go running at 4:00 they start laughing. I told her vet and she has dachshunds also and I said even on the weekend with no bus she is waiting at 4:00 by her bowl. She says they are very smart dogs and it must be a habit of on the weekends or when school is out. Lol The chair she lays in has a clock right above her hanging on the wall. My grandson still believes that she can tell time! Lol 😂

However he had a strange bark that almost sounded like a wild dog sometimes. I wish we had his DNA checked. Unfortunately died at only 5 years. We now have a mixed Rottweiler. That was a neat video. I would love to do the DNA on our rescue. The other two have papers. Why, I’m not sure? We usually have mutts. But my husband told me no more big dogs. He wanted ten pounds at the most. So we bought a Maltipoo, who is like Lola. If I move, he moves. He doesn’t always follow me. But the other two just lay there and sleep. The second one is a Bichon Frise. He is over the ten pound limit. He’s more like twenty. And he may be a fancy sounding breed. But he isn’t a fancy boy. The last dog we have is a Poodle mix. He is the rescue. And we have no idea what the other part of him is. He came from someone who worked with one of my daughter’s friends. She brought him to us at a baseball game my grandson was playing. My husband wasn’t thrilled. Because, at the time, we still had one big dog. So we had four dogs. But she was an older Rottweiler mix. She loved the Maltipoo, but she hated the Bichon. I don’t think our last dog ever really got too close to her. She was a grumpy old lady. But my next dog will be big, and will have to like cats. We live in the country and I would love a big dog for security. We’ve never had a problem. But I figure if anyone came up to our house, they can tell our dogs aren’t huge from their barks. And a big dog might scare them. Actually, we could fence our front yard the rest of the way and leave the dog out front if we go anywhere. That might be a deterrent. I know it would deter me. And I’m not afraid of dogs. We’ve had plenty come to visit and chase our cats away. And I usually go out and try and visit with them. My husband has a fit. I can tell if a dog is mean. And one dog had its tail between its leg the whole time it was here. It looked like a pit bull, so I stayed on the front porch when it was in the yard. Others I was ready to choke. It was a male and a female together. The female was pretty sweet. The male had one of the cats up a tree on the hill behind our house. That dog stayed out there for an 0:00 hour and a half barking at that cat. I was ready to choke him. We turned the hose on him and soaked him. He was obviously some kind of hunting dog. And my husband took off in our truck and they followed him. He went around the corner and down another street. And those dogs came back a little while later. They didn’t fall for that again. They finally left and never came back. That’s one of the joys of living in the country.

I just ordered the Wisdom Premium Panel (from your link). Our little dog has cancer, but she gets around very well. The premium panel gives more information on health issues, so I am interested to see what the results are. By the way, our police force has Belgium Malinois dogs that are the trained K9 dogs. It is amazing to watch them. They usually do a demonstration at least once a year. When they are not working, they are very sweet dogs and the police bring them around so people can pet them. You have a very sweet dog family! Thanks for the link. BTW, the kits are on sale!

Sweetest dog I ever had, and smart, although as a puppy he was always getting into trouble, he was always getting stuck in weird places, Burt the funniest was the day he walked in with a pickle jar stuck on his head. I managed to remove it without any breakage. So she is a great mix. My guy always wanted to cuddle with all the company, but he loved babies the most and was always his gentlest with them. By the DNA test, I would say she's primarily Australian Cattle with a shepherd/collie mix. She has 15 percent shepherd (Malinois is also a shepherd). The DNA tests are very interesting. One of our rescues is a funny guy, and we even would joke that we weren't sure he was a dog. When we did the DNA, it came back 25 percent unknown (classified as sporting category). He's primarily a dachschund, shitzu, chihuahua with a side of unknown :) Love Lola. I think her breeds are a great mix ♥

They usually choose one person to be their primary person. There great smart dogs who do best with some kind of job. They are great at agility.🎉
