Beautifully presented video. I was feeling all out of sorts and off kilter, and someone who actually had no real reason to be kind to me suggested we chant NMHRK together. It wasn't like I suddenly started photosynthesizing light or something, but the vibrations and the sounds helped re-center my mind, body and spirit.

If this is SGI sponsored then good for them. SGI is human. NMRK is Divine (my lack of a better word). It can be practiced within a group or not. There are many paths to what is herein described as “Buddha hood” or perhaps elsewhere as “Christ consciousness”. Different words for the same phenomena. And there R many other words, I’m sure. May word differences not impede our progress individually and as a planet. This is a very workable definition of what is actually ineffable and experienced via “soul”. A good telephone to G-d. Hi Eve! If it was not for the SGI, almost nobody outside of Japan would have heard of this wonderful mantra and it was spread not by advertising but by the heart to heart connection of ordinary human beings that use this process of stretching your life enough to not only understand how valuable your life is but to find the compassion within to share it with someone. That right there is why we don't go to a mountain and meditate to attain enlightenment. It is through the human interactions and immersing ourselves in society that we are able to transform our lives. Showing other through our actions, not words that they too have that Buddhahood within. It needs to be shown, not explained. Hope this helps to answer why we need a tribe, a group. Yes the SGI is not perfect but that is why we need to unit with one another to make it the best setting for everyone to become the best version of themselves. Hugs to you and keep chanting!
