I don’t know why the sub count is only 8.5k for this channel. The production and content are way better than most other watch channels.

Great Vid my 1987 GMT Master II Fat Lady R Series - I've tried to keep it as best as poss since buying it back in 89 - Love it to bits and it hasn't cream coloured yet but I'm sure that's the way it goes. I still miss my Submariner which unfortunately to me I didn't realise that it had an extremely rare dial with no's 3 6 9 and the person I sold it to knows it's whereabouts but he want's to pass it on and it came from a very reliable dealer back in 1973 so it was probably 71.

I have an 84 16760 with its original Jubilee, my GMT pointer is also a tad bit whiter than the other hands just like yours.. I wonder if different lume material was used ? It's my favorite R timepiece....

@@craftandtailored Already done. I'm very impressed with your whole presentation. One more quick question: do you believe the new Harrods Tudor Black Bay is a good investment?

@@allenhaines317 Awesome Man! just wait till the new site and blog launch in the next few weeks! To answer your question yea I think its a very cool watch. I have seen a couple in person and I really like them a lot. there are some special details in the watch that I think would make it collectible in the long term! If you can get one id say go for it!

Great video & I love the coke bezel, I wish Rolex would bring that back in a cerachrom version. What are the differences between this one and the 16710?
@craftandtailored5 жыл бұрын
Digg the coke bezel too, and something tells me that they eventually will bring it back at some point! The main differences are case thickness and teh caliber of movement. The Rolex GMT 16760 slightly larger (.5mm) case proportions as compared to the Submariners and GMTs of that era. The new Rolex 3085 movement was slightly larger and needed a slightly larger case to accommodate it. The Rolex 16760 was only in production for five years, being replaced by the Rolex 16710 and 16700 in 1989 The Rolex GMT 16710 and 16700 leveraged a smaller thinner case as The Rolex 16710 introduced a new 3185 movement that was slightly smaller, as well as the 16700 replacing the 16750 with an updated 3175 movement that introduced no new features other than having a full balance bridge!
