What Is OnStar? Is OnStar Worth It?

My Camaro got stolen last night. My onstar GPS keeps saying that the car is on my driveway. Called onstar and they can’t seem to track the car. This is a waste of money.

Onstar is rude lately. Something is not right with customer service. My mother was on a trip and needed directions. She tried 7 times to talk to someone, and yet there was nobody to help her.

GM is better than Hyundai. I have had Hyundai for the past few years with one car's engine dying on me. The car was only 4 years old.

I won’t buy any GM vehicle again. If you don’t agree to Onstar terms and conditions, GM will display a warning messgae on the radio screen every time you start the car. They instruct their dealer not to disable this warning unless the owner agrees to sign up for onstar. Onstar should have gone away when cell phones became popular, just like the phones that used to be on airplanes. But onstar kicks back enough money to GM that they now must use coercion in their business model.

Lol, no one is going to steal a GM car. It'll trip the tpms light after a few seconds and then boom the car hydro-locks after a minute

I think it is absurd that this is not only still on the market but now a mandatory and expensive upgrade for all GMC vehicles. OnStar is completely useless and outdated. there is absolutely nothing that it can do that your iPhone with apple car play cant do. I also hate the stupid shark fin antenna that you have to have for this. all in all it is a useless service that is being forced on people for the purpose of greed. it is not useful in any way unless you are an elderly person with like a flip phone from 2002 why would you need this service?
