What is perpendicular illuminance and where to use it?

The dialux icons are correct as "horizontal" and "vertical" illuminance refers to the horizontal and vertical vector component of the flow direction. In a physical environment it is equivalent to the horizontal or vertical position of a luxmeter sensor.
