I worked in a thrift shop for about 10 years. I remember the first spring that people were asking for costumes in early March and I didn't know why. One of our regular shoppers told me about Purim so I told the boss that we had to keep some of our more fun costumes from October and put them out at the end of February or mid-March.

I love happiness. As a Catholic, I lived in a Jewish community for the first 13 years of my life. After becoming an RN, I worked in a hospital in the nucleus of that community. Therefore, I have always had respect, and learned much about the Jewish religion. Every so often, I am startled when something practiced in both faiths comes to my attention. In this video it is the bread with the hard boiled egg. We have this bread at Easter. I have wonderful memories of my Grandmother’s homemade version. I enjoy your videos so much. They very often bring back much loved memories of my childhood.

I'm a full-time parent and a homemaker and I have to say, the way you keep your home is nothing short of finely artful. It is a delight and a joy to behold the warmth and order you bring to your family. Your efforts exert a strength, protection, and nurturing over your household that words really fail to describe. It's an anchoring force for good. You hold the divine within your heart and express it with such grace! It is remarkable how you honor his Word and his Will in every gesture, small and large. You energize, inspire and uplift my work with your humble example. Thank you! God Bless you and your beautiful family!

I am so happy that I found your celebration of Purim. I go to Chabad, but it’s too far for me to drive there today. I love the Rabbi, and Rebbetzin, that’s why I joined. I am Ashkenazi, not Orthodox. This is the first Purim that I am celebrating. My cousin who is an Ashkenazi Orthodox woman, told me all about the holiday, and is teaching me more about Judaism. I grew up in a Jewish household, but they didn’t celebrate any holidays after we moved away from all the relatives, when I was 12. I did mitzvah’s, donated money for the IDF, and food through my Shul. I loved the beautiful gifts, that you and your daughters made, so wonderful!!! Thank you again!! AM YISRAEL CHAI!!

I Love Happiness. The mitzvah that feels most important is feeding the poor. Everyone deserves to be food-secure. But the one I would enjoy the most is making the Mishloach Manot. I love the idea of preparing special gifts filled with beautifully arranged treats. I love to create things but never would I have the space to keep my creations. So, I really enjoy making things like this for others.

I love your festive gifts and particularly the bread. In two weeks, we will celebrate Easter and on Holy Saturday I bake anywhere from 7-14 loaves of Greek Easter bread to share with neighbors and friends. The number of loaves just depends on how many people we hope to see on Easter morning. My Easter bread looks a lot like challah but with colored eggs baked into the loaves. So many shared traditions between our faiths…. Such a rich cultural heritage!

It's touching that so much of the holiday is spent caring for and being generous to those in need. I LOVE HAPPINESS!! The mitzvah that resonated the most with me is the one regarding feeding people to foster community. I’m not Jewish, but one of my good friends in college was. He was involved with the Hillel Jewish community center (an off campus Jewish religious group). I ended up getting invited to help make hamentashen for Purim. We made several hundred cookies hundred for Purim every year. They’re so fun to make! It was also really interesting to have the opportunity to work in a kosher kitchen.

I love how many different religions emphasize on holidays giving to the needy. My son always put money in every salvation bucket we came across and we would give gifts for the angel tree, buy Girl Scout cookies for those in military, help at the local food bank, give to meals on wheels. We do these things not because we had to but wanted to.

I love happiness... and the generosity embodied in this holiday. The joy and the desire to make everyone happy is beautiful. There's so much thoughtfulness in this celebration. Back in ancient times, my (non-Jewish) family cleaned our local Reform synagogue to earn extra income. Cleaning up after Purim was a BIG job. It was the messiest day of the year. Clearly, everyone had a great time. And I love the extra touches you put in your care packages. They show that you truly care.

Where to begin sweet Dr Malka! Well first of all i love happiness! Second i feel blessed and honored that you take the time to do these videos, this is not an easy task. I pray ur work load both in the clinic, ER, and home stays at a managable level and u dont become overwhelmed. When I wake up at 5 am I always say a prayer for u knowing u r probably getting out of bed too, praying for a good and easy day. I also pray for ur prosperity as i know financially deciding to take a step back to be more present with ur children would affect anyone, but it was a selfless and honorable decision from amazing mother. I am so happy to have this vidoe explaining Purim bc we r celebrating it for the first time this year, we r christians so ot wont be exactly the same as your celebration. I hope you have a shavua tov and know ur in my prayers that u and ur family and community r safe, healthy, and prosperous. I wont burden u with the issues in my life as i know ur prayer list is overflowing, but a thought if general good will for us every now and then would be appreciated. U r so special and bring such a light into this world, plz never let that light go out. BH my friend.

the sponges in the care packages are really cute🥰 I am Jewish, but didn't grow up with all these holidays. Mainly high holidays we observed.

I ❤ Happiness! 🎉 Purim is amazing, our whole family picks a theme and we all dress us accordingly, many time inventing the costume pieces ourselves. It’s so much fun!!

Sara your videos are so wonderful. I love happiness, thank you for sharing ! As a Christian the commandment to donate alms to the poor and food to two people is beautiful. I especially appreciate how much care and love you created those gift baskets with. Your taste and style are impeccable! Esther's story is one of my favorites! G.od bless you today and always my sister in the L.ord's love !!! 😊❤

What a wonderful way to celebrate Esther! I love happiness! I’m a Catholic woman who truly enjoys Judaism videos! I think my favorite celebration of Purim is your community dinner! Faithful, loving people eating a meal together is pure happiness! Thanks for sharing ❤️🌹

Your telling of Jewish traditions and holidays is very interesting. I especially enjoy seeing some of the differences between the different sects.

What a lovely video! Hebrew school taught me well so every time you said the bad guy's name I started banging on my desk. This video also reminded me to prepare to bake challah for my friends to fulfill Mishloach Manot!

My favorite commandement was the reading of the book of Esther. I also notice that your bread of haman is similar to our folar, that we eat during easter in Portugal 😊. Happy Purim Sara!

I'm Catholic and my Italian American mom always bought a similar egg bread for Easter at our local Italian bakery. It looks almost exactly like your egg bread except the egg would be dyed for Easter. They came in sweet and non sweet.

At 64 years of age, I am new to the bible and was literally reading Esther (for the first time in my life) this week. I cannot believe the coincidences (or not?) that have eluded to my reading. This is one that popped up in my YT feed. I am inspired by you. Thank you for the video!

Oh...that care package is a yea yea yea! We're having a ladies spring tea in April, and we ( coordinators) are always looking for something to send home with all the ladies, young and old, that would bring them joy. This is it! Thank you from the Adirondack mountains of New York state!
