Tony Gaskins hHi Tony just subscribed. After giving birth to my second baby via C section last week. Baby still at the hospital for an extra three weeks. My husband cared for one for a full one day when we came home. Next day we argued badly and I ended up disrespecting him with words. I was wrong. He also disrespected me saying what kind of mother are you. He left the house because I asked him to leave. He never came back knowing no body will care for me since my family werre in other city for vacay. Now when I went to the hospital to go see the baby he doesn’t even talk to me. Is that a real man? I understand I insulted him with words but to leave me after a C section. If A man gets disrespected by his wife. No matter what the circumstances that is. Is it ok for them to leave? Is that a real man character?
@chardonaye74884 жыл бұрын
assignment B If you disrespected him then asked him to leave you can’t expect him to act like it didn’t happen just because you are married. That probably broke his heart. If he’s a good man you have to work hard to get his respect and trust back. He probably doesn’t feel safe there anymore. If you don’t want to loose him for good you should probably seek some counsel together.

You don’t want to meet success with a failure attitude-Tony Gaskins •That spoke to me! Tony you have some of the best quotes!
I’m guilty of talking crazy out of insecurity or protecting myself if I was disrespected. I am learning that it’s not a good look and I’m learning to be quiet and do more listening than reacting. I can’t wait to get your book. It’s coming tomorrow and can’t wait to read it. Thank you and be blessed! I just finished watching the video. You pretty much described a relationship that I was in that was EXTREMELY toxic! His problems turned me into a completely different person. That person is forever blocked! Thank you and I made it!

LaVette you’re so right with that comment. When I was young - mid to late teenager young - my friends would be speaking to me about their guy cheating with x, y & z and how they were gonna kick their ass....and even at 14yrs old I would ask them why! WHY fight with a female over a guy and they would say “but they new he wasn’t single, they knew he was with me”, and my response even at such a young age was “but your guy also knew he was with you, the only difference is that ‘your guy’ is the only one out of the two of them that knew how he ‘allegedly’ felt about you. It was him who would tell you he loved you and how much he claimed to loved you and it was him who felt it, not her - the other female be it x, y or z....they didn’t feel his feelings for you and even if they were told or were around and saw him cuddling you, showing you & telling you he loved you etc....they didn’t feel any of those deep feelings that he claimed he felt for you’, so in being the one person who knows how much they love you because they’re in the relationship with you, it’s him who’s ass you should be kicking if you’re even considering doing anything other than taking a long slow casual walk so he gets a good chance to watch the best thing he ever had walk right out of his life, then it should be his ass....not hers! He knew his feelings for you and yours for him.....she didn’t so ultimately, as wrong, badly and disrespectfully they have both treated you....he’s the one who knows how much it will effect you and if he had any love for you he would never want to make a fool out of you, disrespect you or hurt you in the way he has. That’s my ‘truth’, my ‘belief’ and my ‘understanding’ of what it means to be in a relationship, so no matter how hurt I’ve been, I’ve simply just very calmly held my head high walked away and never listened or looked back, because I know my worth....I know the person I am and what I bring to the table in a relationship and although I don’t brag about it I do make sure that when going in to a relationship there are some fundamental ground rules before I will even think of getting seriously involved and the first is Equality of Respect - ‘ as much respect as I have for myself I will always give him and there is a clear expectation that it will be returned. I also need to know within my own mind that the guy has a high level of respect and love for himself because if he doesn’t then how can he possibly give those things to me. Also communication is key, without communication, be it deep and meaningful or simply letting me know what time he’ll be home or me calling to let him know I’m running late as I got held up at work - that’s basic respect so without that most basic level of communication what do we have 🤷🏼♀️ Nothing and therefore he is not worth any of my time or effort.💛🙏💛

I totally agree with you in this video Tony. Men deserve our respect but I’m glad you emphasized at the end that you’re not saying we should respect them while they treat us like a doormat. My ex was like that. Cursing and shouting at anyone. When you dont respect yourself you can never respect anyone. I was firm with my response but when you were brought up with everyone shouting its really difficult to change unless you want change. So the opposite in my responses could show the embarrassment, but the habits that were so long unchecked must have been difficult for him. I knew that had to be over, because I refused to put up with it or go to that level. I could never speak to a man that way, he allows it and I respect him anymore. Men need to be firm but respectful. Likewise women be ladies and earn respect. You have to move on if it doesn't change. Cant go on giving chances.

That's me though on the other side, from a woman's side. I allowed cursing, demeaning behavior for many, and I mean many 10 plus years. He thinks everything should have been fine after I left and he decided to change. I pay close attention to see if I notice ANY of that behavior now & I check it! (Perhaps before I even need to be) I'm just not having it, if I'd have been smart like your wife & checked it earlier, it may have been different. The thing is some things cannot be forgotten. I don't do any butt kissing anymore, do not break my back and do EVERYTHING in this house anymore and I WILL NOT allow it! I did it all for years, even with a disabled son, running a business and carried the weight of the world on my shoulders. If I could go back. I'd have checked behavior early on in my relationship! I endured the pain instead, our entire home did if I'm honest. I'm so thankful to be to this place now of life coaching, listening to videos, reading books and adding growth to my life daily ! This is a very powerful video! The woman or women that you are describing I use to be her. Making no excuses but I had alot going on with me from young. However nobody should be talked to like that and if just so happens they do deserve it walk away and or leave the situation completely. Life is about energy. No need on wasting your energy on negativity. I'm no longer that woman, however I'm still working on me daily and I thank the Most High that I can!!🙋🏾♀️

Tony you have affected me in a biggg way!!! What you say, I am hooked on every word because I know you telling the truth. And parts that don't apply to me, I still listen cos I wanna be armed and ready if it approaches me! Jehovah said to take in knowledge because knowledge is power. Bless you for your work, your help, your caring, and your realness to keeping it real for us all.

Tony, I’m so glad you talked about women fighting over men. That is the most disgusting thing in the world and it fuels a Grown Boys ego!! 40 plus years, I’ve never done that. Hold your head up high and Walk away. Cry in private and move on!!

Thank you Tony for the video and message! Be Blessed! I made it! We all need to treat each other as we want to be treated in life. What we see in our life is always a mirror of ourselves and we need to do the inner work to change for the better. We have the power to change what we do not like in our lives and stop feeding our ego and live in love!

Samson referred to his Philistine wife as a heifer when he realized she was a blabber mouth. She betrayed his trust when she revealed the answer to his riddle(secret of his heart) to his enemies.

Thank you so much. I did not have a father. So I did not know how to treat a man. I was always nerves and insecure. But this helped me understand so much about a real man. Thank you I will continue looking at your teachings .

Be blessed I made it! God bless you Tony and your family! Please keep enlightening us all. I like that you mention that “these talks aren’t for everyone, but if they are for you, you’ll know.” Keep on blessing us with ‘God’s wisdom’ and continue to be blessed and happy for what you are doing. We really ‘need’ you! 🙏🏻

I know and the sad thing is they say how much they love us but just using us, cause love would not want to hurt us.
