He's much better in the show then he is in the source material, too. He basically ends up being a gag in the comic, concluding and announcing that Omni-Man killed the Guardians of the Globe *after* literally the entire world already knew. He announces it like it's a big deal and the response is just, "Yeah.. we know."

Around this time or by episode 2 in the comics, eve actually has a bit of a complex. She sees everyone else as not exactly beneath her but she sees her self on a higher plain that non super powered people can ever perceive. They did write her a bit better here cuz she sounds like she might be a villain but it's really just teenage angst

Robert kirkman is the CCO of sky bound entertainment and i think hes still on the board of directors for Image comics. Normally there is too much on his plate for direct involvement in these creations but despite that he still took the helm and is directly involved in this shows production

It's even better than the comics. Robert Kirkman basically got a second chance to condense and emphasise parts of the story to make it impactful. It makes me REALLY excited to see it all animated, since the comic has some weird pacing and rushed areas. The difference between the comics and the show really displays how far he's come as a writer since Invincible was his first proper comic series. Honestly, I'm really excited for him too and how successful it is, since it was essentially his love letter to superhero comics since Mark is basically a cross between Spiderman and Superman

Fun fact about Seance dog: Originally in the comics, Mark was a huge fan of 'Science Dog', and it was such a popular in-joke that they actually created a spinoff series of it. By the time the show got turned into a TV series, Science Dog was a separate IP that the production studio would have had to buy the rights for, so they decided to make it 'Seance Dog' instead, and make him into a parody of Dr. Strange.

This was mentioned by someone else before, in another reaction i saw, but if you look closely, when Invincible and Eve finish their fight, and the moment that Invincible remembers he has to head home, it actually looks like Eve started going in for a kiss. It's pretty much just 2-3 frames but its enough that if you are looking for it, you'd see it.

I haven't read the comics, but what I've heard is that the show has all of the same content, but they moved around where things are. It takes a couple of volumes in the comic before the Guardians die and robots plotline got moved forward as well.

Yeah essentially it covers all of volume 1. The death of the guardians is the last chapter of the 12 issues but essentially this is way more digestible for a TV audience. And for comic fans its really the most memorable scene so it's nice it came a lil early. What I enjoy is the viltrumites in this show aren't as strong as their comic counterpart, Kirkman even went on saying this is a way for him to correct that as he he regretted making them so powerful. Omni-man killed them all without a scratch in the comic, but here he took a bit of a beating.

My vote was always on Eve if just on the second episode. Episode 7 was the big hammer on what kind of person Amber is but watching it now. That bully was messing with Amber early in the episode but we now know she had some thing on him for blackmail material she could have used to get the bully to leave her alone. Only when she found a guy that would let himself be beaten for her did she use it. That is manipulation

It’s in the same movie company as HTTYD i think (don’t quote me on that) The first is a good starter, it introduces the characters, the second is the best one imo, the villain gets darker and the storyline gets deeper. the third was good but i still think the first two were better! It's great. Season 1 started a bit rough and needed some time to find a comfortable balance with its humour. Some characters also lack development. Season 2 is epic and gives every character some much needed time in the spotlight to explore their backstories. It balances everything much better. The improvement makes me excited for season 3.

To do this first season of Invincible the got the help of the writer and he made some adjustment to the story and some events so they are more linear and better quality wise (examples, some events of this first season happens later in the comic or slightly differents and some stuff didn't got animated "maybe in season 2" taking them later than the comic), overall as a fan of the comic, after reading all (and it's fairly long) I feel like the narration and the pace of this serie is a 10, going straight to the point, making good things from the comic even better and some unnecessary/useless chapters got dropped as far as the 1st serie covers.

It's a pretty decent distillation of the comic (perhaps "streamlined" is a better word) which has a lot of escalating story elements. One of the advantages of adapting it to a different media is there is the opportunity to tighten up the story, which they have done here.
