I feel like Josie's situation after things got started would have been significantly worse than presented. If the Foundation unleashed monsters on the world, and a few weeks later, you see half a cat walk up, you're not gonna lean down to pet it. You're going to assume the worst, and pick up a shovel. The poor thing would be in danger from the monsters, AND the survivors.

I have now headcanoned that the Chaos Insurgency found and kept her until the reset occurred. Why the CI? In this universe they would actually be good guys and that could well be their sanctuary. They know how to handle anomalous guerrilla warfare and staying out of sight. Taking the cat would at first be to keep a wandering anomaly from drawing attention. But I think like Sophie, they would like the hint of normalcy (by the CI definition). ❤

But anyone who’s rational enough to know would know that if an animal hasn’t eaten in days will eat whatever meat that they can when they can. Growing up (and this is a horrible story I don’t even like to think about it let alone even talk about it because it messed me up seeing this as a child and I was too young to call the animal protection center or even the police). But growing up I knew someone who lived by me and they had these puppies and they would barely even feed these puppies(man this is horrible talking about this I can barely even talk about it even as an adult) but they had these puppies and they would barely even feed them and some of the puppies died and the puppies that survived would eat the ones that died, smh. Man, it was so horrible and as an adult if this were to happen now I would just take the puppies in myself. Man, I wish I didn’t have to remember that. But I just brought that up because it’s an example of animals doing what they have to do to survive. The will to survive will bring out the best or the worst in someone or something. Usually it’s the worst though. But the only thing I’ll give to the person who owned the puppies was that he was an old man and I think his grandkids or something like that left the puppies on him. And if I remember correctly he was too old to be taking care of dogs I think he could barely take care of himself. This was over 22 years ago, but if I remember his roof to his house was even sinking in. But I wish that he, or myself but I was just a little kid, or someone would’ve at least called the police or something. Those puppies could’ve at least maybe found a good home. But I’m sorry about the sad story, I really am but I just wanted to use that as an example of an animal’s will to live.

New headcanon: Josie is with the Chaos Insurgency until the reset…I think there is a chance that’s their sanctuary. And they’re the ones who shot Sophie’s killer. In this world, the CI like the GOC would be the good guys and they know how to stay hidden. At first the CI would snap her up to keep her or the note from drawing attention. But I think they would like having her at their hidden base/camp.

It looks like BOTH bullets where none deadly if it was a normal round one in the upper shoulder and the other in the lower left lung...(these can be in 2/3 sections or pockets) so where it'll be difficult to breath for a few months or years a bit of exercise should give you 35/45% of you're strength from you're 15/20% strength that you had when ya had the injury although if not kept clean it will become infected which could kill you... so remember to keep breathing and clean/cover the damage tissue...

If a person dies it is no reason to cancel completely a work that deep down you enjoy doing, don't let a temporary change of dimensions of a dear person to change your lifepath, death it is just a gate to another side of life. It is called apathy and shock that comes because of the connection that slowly disolves but this means that a new characteristic is gained and that is autonomy or also self-reliance. A person come in life serves their purpose, lives the best as possible and then changes plains of existence. Make it worth it but also be sure to not allow the past to grasp onto you, it is about moving forward to rebuild and recollect thyself. If a dear one passes away many parts will be changed because a new place is free for either more expansion and study or even presences that can aid. Smile, pray and celebrate because the body vessel no longer keeps the person in the turmoil limitation of the matter composed of meat and bones shell. Don't fixate on a thought, direction attention towards things that the loved ones will love to see you doing after their departing with gladness and content. Not all ends are what they appear to be, but new starts in disguise for new flavours of experiences and even directions to pathfind.

I probably would have tried to make a (small scale) Mecha in a basement or underground bunker, call it "the last guardian" make it look old and rusted, use my as a fake power supply, and have it rise out of the ground and condemn the foundation, and be killed and destroyed in the process. That's what I would try to do during an SCP-5000 scenario.
