What is Shades Eq Clear Gloss and How It is Used?

I LOVE a good clear gloss! I used to get them every time I got a haircut before I went gray and started having to dye my hair on a regular basis!! Shades EQ is probably the best out there! I tone down the red undertone from my brown after I dye my roots, and I always dilute whatever level I’m using with clear. That’s because I don’t want my hair any darker, I just want the hint of color to tone down the red that my white hair grabs the most of from the brown dye I use. So for me what’s works best is to half it, 1:1 color to clear. Works like a charm! Love this stuff!

The Shades EQ gloss is 7 volume. As you said, some folks have substituted with a 10 volume developer.

If your hair is true black, use a level 1 to add color back. If you’re looking for only shine, use equal parts of clear gloss and processing solution. But these are professional products to only be used and purchased by licensed cosmetologist. Things found on Amazon and other places are more than likely fake or diluted

@@cherylj7460 I ordered from eBay. No problems thankfully. Bought the 000 clear 9N 9VG 9P 9GI Also 8GG ( 😅? I put it to the side for now). I’m really going through it 🥲😅past 2 months going platinum myself. It’s sketchy for some people to buy them from EBay. Just some info 👍🏻

Yes you need both to activate the solution like flour and baking powder

you need processing solution for shades eq... you cant use just one...

I don’t think they understand your question. You don’t need it lol it’s not processing solution. It’s used to sheer out colors or make them a lighter shade. Some use it by itself (with processing solution) as a clear gloss. The processing solution needs to be used with both the color bottles and the clear 000 gloss.
