Beautifuly described. If we aknowladge how deeply we are actually intertwinted with nature then we can open ourselves to new devine possiblities. True shamans always want this message to get through. Shamans are medium that reveal the infinite possiblities of ourselves and help in look at the bigger picture of connection between human life and the nature around him. Thanks for the wonderful upload. Love and light 🌌

Robikus: True! Taoism, with its practical emphasis on being balanced and in the moment, is very "shamanic". These practices are thousands of years old and don't belong to any particular Way. All roads lead to the same place, though take different routes ... which is also Taoist, as well as Zen. :-)
@GerryStarnes13 жыл бұрын
Starseed: Excellent question. If the video wasn't clear on this point, in cases where you do not remember the event (serious or early trauma is like this), you would need the assistance of a shaman or practitioner who works with Spirit to find those events for healing. This is also true of memories that you are so close to that you get ensnared in them again .. can't remain in an objective place. This can be re-traumatizing. This level of soul retrieval requires assistance.

I see no contradictions at all, having studied or practiced both. There is no separation between the individual and everything else at the core of both shamanism and Zen. Shamanism is more than 40,000 years older than Zen, Tao, or any other world view worldwide. It is, therefore, most likely the basis of all of them.

If I run my hands through an (imagined) "hologram" of a person's body who may not be physically present, I can sense the differences in the denseness of energy (some areas feel like static on TV while others feel more compact or solid) as well as differences in the quality of vibration. I feel it on my hands. If I ask a question about the dense areas, my mind gives me images or information (e.g. childhood sexual abuse, constant argument with spouse, hidden guilt feelings, etc.). I did not learn this from any energy healing modality. Can you give me advice on how to develop this ability further or recommend reading materials as to what this. What healing system do you think best complements this? I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give. I'm from the Philippines. The healers here are the indigenous ritualist-animist shamans and faith healers who blended their Roman Catholic or Spiritualist beliefs with traditional healing practices. I cannot find someone who can enlighten me as to what I am experiencing or how to develop it.
@GerryStarnes6 жыл бұрын
With respect: My suggestion is to find someone local who is willing to teach you through their lineage and/or modalities. This is not something you can learn from a book.

I have already attended a fire ceremony but not sure if what I was doing was right. In November will be the Shamamic Journey. I discovered I wan an Empath a while back and think there is a connection.

Wow !................years ago I learned the technique of Dianetics which enables a person to RELIVE a past trauma, feeling and seeing and experiencing it again thoroughly which the person then can release the trauma and go forward with freedom and new life. I'm amazed how that practice is so similar to shamanic healing.

@@GerryStarnes- - Right on Gerry ! He studied psychotherapy and hypnotism and discovered the weakness of these two systems, and from this the Dianetics format developed. As a practitioner of Dianetics I am in awe of the power inherent in simply not ignoring or running away from a trauma, but heading right into it and reliving it , and presto ! the pain is lifted.

Hi Gerry. Thanks for sharing. I have some questions. Can the process of soul retrieval involve past life regression? Also, can the use of ayahausca help to correct any issues as a result of having lost part of one's soul somewhere along the path of life? I am also seriously interested in finding ayahuasca ceremonies in the Los Angeles area that are performed with indigenous protocols originated in the Amazon. If you have any information that may help me, I would appreciate it.

Hi Gerry, I love your videos. I have a question, can Wiccan's practice shamanic...
@GerryStarnes10 жыл бұрын
Yes, absolutely. Shamanism is a way of being in the world that is very Earth- and Nature-based, as is Wicca. Wicca is very shamanic in its roots. Several of my friends and students hold Wiccan beliefs and practices, just as many are Christian, Buddhist, and more. People of many faiths. Neither is better than the other, of course. They are complimentary.

Sari Kem absolutely! You’re both talking to the same demons that are lying to you and just calling your practices by different names..... I pray in the name of Jesus Christ the demons that control you are bound so you may see the truth.

I live in Dallas and would love to come to Austin to work with you. I've worked with South American shamanic medicine, and it was honestly too intense for me. I have a chronic pain issue that western medicine can't help with. Do you hold any type of healing ceremonies in Austin? I'd love to drive down to participate if that's something you do. What is your healing practice? The spiritual plant medicines are just too much for me with the chronic pain, they make the pain so much worse while I'm in ceremony, but I still think shamanism may help me on my healing path. What would you suggest for someone with chronic back pain? I just found out every disk in my back is herniated, and I've never been in any type of accident that could have caused it. So, I feel like its something I've brought over from a past life or early childhood trauma. Any suggestions you have would be very appreciated. Very glad I found your channel!
@GerryStarnes10 жыл бұрын
Yes, I do healing work. I do not use plant medicines as you might have encountered in S. America. The work is generally slower and gentler. Back pain as you are describing will likely require longer-term work, and herniated disks cannot be "un-herniated." There may be ways to work around them, though. And yes, possibly/probably related to past life and early trauma. There is also an acupuncturist in my office space that might be able to help, as well. Please go to my website for more gerrystarnes(dot)com. Look at the Services page.

I'm still really puzzled with all of them how to practically life with that unified sense - I mean it honestly keeps me pulling back from all spirituality, because functioning in the world means recognizing differences. If I walk in front of a bus, I'm going to lose. And yet, if everything's essentially of the same essence...there's always this tension between recognizing difference in practical terms and having insight into underlying sameness.

Can spirit guides and allies block someone for getting employed in a job that is not related to a person's real calling? Are there cases where a shaman/shamanic practitioner experience a pattern of career problems because there are forces wanting him/her to take on the role of a healer?
@GerryStarnes6 жыл бұрын
In my experience so far, there is free will. Guides and allies do not tell you what to do. You have to ask. Having asked, though, you may find yourself being guided. But ALWAYS check to make sure that what you feel guided to do is in alignment with the direction you want and choose to go. Ego (Self Importance) is a trickster.

I appreciate the spiritual aspect of this however soul retrieval sounds like exposure therapy and cognitive restructuring , please be careful if you are not trauma informed you may cause deeper trauma for that individual by asking them to look at horror of what happened to them.
@GerryStarnes3 жыл бұрын
Agreed! I have more than 25 years experience in trauma work now. Anyone who is not trained to do soul retrieval work is not qualified to do it and are thus potential sources of greater harm. Bottom line: don't do anything you are not trained to do. Period. Reading a book or experiencing your own soul retrieval is not training. This video is an introduction. I have another video that addresses soul loss and soul retrieval more directly. As of this week (9/22/21), I have another video in the works regarding shamanism and trauma, which also addresses "re-traumatizing" clients. That should be available soon. Follow me to be notified when it goes public.
