I love these Doug-Joseph collabs because they have the perfect dynamic. There have been some really good shows and series with other Yugi-tubers, but Doug needs a foil. MBT plays the perfect foil. Here's the raw deal with Blackwing: none of the new, actually good cards are in the pack. They weren't even *available to craft* until the update on June 7th. The *best* doug could have hoped for was Full Armor Master, Nothung, Raikiri, and extra Whirlwinds.

Honestly, the numbers have been pretty consistent all the way through if you look at it that way because the older ones just have a lot of cumulative views over time. So honestly, I think he needs to go to three series a week but that’s just me. I think it would gas the channels algorithm quite a bit.

There have been countless times where I made plays and thought wow i really went through ma bunch of great moves there only to be killed by single activations of one ofs like tactics or thrust that just turns any game around. We don't need to go back to the old days where spells cards like pog, charity, duo decided every game. We're already here.

Don't worry Dzeeff, I don't think you misplayed anywhere super meaningfully. There were times when I was like "Nooo read the last effect of Onimaru" but it realistically didn't matter, you were playing against a deck with an insane engine so long as it finds any of its cards with exactly one and a half copies of Black Whirlwind in your deck. Not much you can do about pulling bad and MBT drawing into the right non-engine at the right time

Another great series! I don't think you should do crafts for this series, since you get a mostly playable deck right out the gate. However, the blackwing and galaxy structures were released with their associated boss monster not included in the deck, but as a login bonus, so I wouldn't mind those 2 decks getting those cards specifically.

When I saw the structure deck selection: Blackwings should definietly win if they get Nothung and Full armor master. After the packs: Blackwings got neither Notung, nor Full armor master. Duel 1, turn 1, already a misplay. Should have tributed BWD for Sudri's 2nd effect to get a tuner. Summon Boreastorm (he got it from the structure deck), than summon Black Winged Assault Dragon from extra deck as a 3200 baetstick that taxes the opponent on monster effect usage. Duel 2: no big misplay Duel 3: You could have won. You had everything to do it. You didn't. I mean if you were worried about handtraps, that'd be one thing, but in this format?

The structure decks are overall a big Konami W, Salamangreat was playable even before the latest support, Ninja was released at the same time of Kashtira and had a great match up against it, Dragonmaid is great for beginners to learn the basics, zombies are probably some of the most fun rogue decks out there... Even Cipher who is not really playable has a few staples included.

I would allow crafting but under some strict conditions. You can only break down cards you have 4 or more of, and you can only the resources that you gained in the latest pack opening. No rolling over resources week to week.

No crafts. There's plenty of the other series we've seen where you can patch up a deck with crafts. Since this one starts with guaranteed cards, crafts could make them too high-powered. A lot of us love the cope and the shoddy building.

Knowing that Violet chimera + heatleo is an OTK match made in heaven had me seething game 3 when he didnt make violet initially, and i saw he had access to not only 2 heatleo through rein link summon, but a monster body in GY to use, I was seething, as it was literally throwing. I own these cards. I have violet chimera, and it upsets me that this duel did this.

Doug has taken not reading to a whole new level with this one. I love the man, but I don't think I have EVER seen someone SO AGGRESSIVELY refuse to read as him in this specific episode. Normally if he doesn't read it feels like a mistake, a fumble in his otherwise somewhat-based-in-actual-game-knowledge plays. This was a CHOICE, and I'm not sure whether to be annoyed or respect it. Very entertaining series premiere regardless.

Just as a random example, despite the fact that it did not matter (given Joseph's backrow), in game 3 at 32:00 he's like "it's actually less damage," (to make both Black-Winged Assault Dragon and Onimaru). Of course, this proves that DESPITE scrolling all the way through the card back in Game 2 at 22:50 he DID NOT NOTICE that Onimaru deals AN ADDITIONAL 3000 DAMAGE IF IT WAS SUMMONED USING ONLY SYNCHROS.
