The reason people forget about power bond not destroying the monster and the monster keeping the attack is because, in the anime, they only had 4000 life points so the person summoning the 8k beat stick had to win that turn or they would just lose and, due to that, the monster staying on the field with the boosted attack just never came up. Let's be honest, most people never actually read power bond, they saw it in the anime and it stuck.

@@leandro4668 his brother does have power bond but also a problem with using it because he missused it once and lost to the burn in his early childhood and because of this he had a fear of using it again in another duel where he had the option between power bond(for game) or poly.(dont know if he used it after this episode but thats the one i remember)

This doesn't really make sense. As Zane would either end the duel there, or use a card to nullify the damage from Power Bond. Leaving End still on the field with 8000 ATK. I think the only time he lost too Power Bond, was when he made Cyber End with 16000ATK, in his duel with Yubel.

MBT had 3 Zombie Worlds and 2 Banshees, put only 1 of each in the deck and didn't get ZW on the field even once despite having the chance to and the fact that it shuts down the Cyber Dragon extra deck. Total throw.

Although I’m not positive how effective zombie world is against the cyber dragon deck Doug was playing, it still hurts not to see it even get used once in the zombie deck. and then it also hurt not seeing him be able to use haunted zombies for shit, that’s a really cool card. Wish he had zombie sucker or another link two or something. Idk without any kind of interaction like big daddy Balder I still think he was screwed.

@@Irwanadri666 They really aren't worse than the gem ones. I mean, the Live Twin deck for example has 2 Maxx C, 2 Ash, 2 Imperm, 2 Called By, a Cross Out, a Feather Duster, & a Droplet. Not to mention it has Unicorn & Accesscode in the extra deck. The only thing it's really lacking is Elf in the extra deck because it's based on a structure deck they're giving out in the OCG where it's banned and they didn't adjust it for MD.

@@randumo24 No, we're not talking about those Tactical Try decks. The players cannot get them for free. We're talking about the solo gates structure decks. Shiranui, Glad Beast, Monarch, Digital bugs, Gem-Knight etc. They are really bad if you haven't seen them.

@@Irwanadri666 I've seen them and played with the Shiranui in solo mode on new accounts before and I've just used Monarch on ranked a few times to get the required tribute summon lol. Digital Bug is bad because it's an awful deck. Shiranui could definitely be good & so could Gem-Knight & Monarch to a lesser extent depending on the draws. None of the structure decks are that good with a single pack, which is what solo mode gives you. Glad Beast and Digital Bug are just not good decks so it's not really anything to do with structure content anyways.

Man I pulled a few venereal cards in my masochist run and it got me reading the whole archetype and man it is as close as any archetype. All of it's rituals spells are crazy, the link 2 is crazy, most of the monsters can plus and the main ritual searches 2 when it hits the gy and any of their rituals buffed with a quick eff spell banish, a quick eff monster banish and protection is a solid piece of an endboard, then they also have traps that say things like destroy all cards on the field. And it's really fun to play. It really is like 1 or 2 cards short of being at least off meta. Big issue I found playing around with it is the lack of any in archetype starter, you're kinda stuck playing uni-zombie and/or herald of the arc light and if you are banking on either of those cards resolving there are sadly better things to be doing. The deck doesn't have many hard locks but little things like scar meaning you can't summon anything but vendreads while he's on the field and not being able to link off the link2 iirc kinda limit the combo flexibility. 1 strong starter and 1 card to glue it together and cut down on some of the search targets and I think it could get there.

the power bond mandala effect is because in the anime, power bond would lose the game basically except in 2 cases, both not shown in the usa. In america, power bond is a card that always failed, then killed the user.
