One thing i noticed about this game, and it seems you're noticing too, is the realism of the world being relentless. There is no time to process anything, terrible stuff happens and there is no time to absorb or process it before the next thing is happening. I feel like that would be a real problem for Joel and Ellie no time to process Tess before the soldiers showed up, no time to process Bill's loss before the next wave of infected, hell... no time to process the constant stress before the next wave of constant stress.

Late reply I'm so sorry! You're absolutely right. It's completely relentless and you definitely get that feeling playing because there's no time to stop and consider or even have a breather. I think that's why the little moments where Ellie cracks a joke or makes an observation about the world mean so much and feel so bright. I'm really enjoying this game but PHEW it's a lot!

The reveal that Bill had a male partner always hit me so strongly. I love that his character breaks many media stereotypes of gay men. The Last of Us is a very LGBTQ friendly IP! Just wait til you finish this and get to part 2!

I keep coming back and thinking about it and the way their story was told. I'm so glad to hear it's so LGBTQIA+ friendly as a series! I am honestly enjoying my experience with it so much so I can't wait to play Part 2 as well!
