Hi! Love your videos, very informative thank you! Couple of questions for you. I am working on my CPE units through my endorser while in the reserves. Will my CPE units transfer over to the army side to get my that 7R skill identifier? And can I still take advantage of the doctorate program through the army if I didn’t get my CPE through the army? Thank you for any help!

Thank you! As a reservist, civilian CPE units may qualify for the 7R ASI (they will definitely count toward the 7S ASI!) Each case is a case-by-case situation. Typically, the Army will have you do the full-year of CPE in the Army program to earn the 7R and get the opportunity to do the DMin, though. It is not uncommon for our chaps to end up with 5-8 CPE units when they finish the Army’s CPE programs. Good news: you get paid to do the program as your full-time job if you choose to go down this road!

Common. At least one a year in the last few years for the full-time, year long program. If you are looking for the extend program, then a lot more options available.

@thetattooedchap I received this and worked 8 years in Chaplaincy. Would that count towards anything if I went through ACP as a civilian? Will the Army recognize it?
