I’ve been a Christian since I was 10 years old I’m 88. I went to Pentecostal Holiness and assembly of God congregations for years. I've seen too much bakery involved in the baptism of the holy Spirit. I don't attend church now but I still believe in Jesus Christ as my savior and the blood of Jesus covers my sins.

At first when I was listening I thought oh no he’s going to be against tongues…… but he knows the Bible and He believe’s. Thank you Lord Jesus !!! I was raised Baptist in a church where no one praised God….. But after getting older I went to a church on fire…. Raising their hands, speaking in tongue’s. I thought I WANT THAT !!! I prayed The Spirit would fill me. The first 2 times I didn’t get it…… I was just scared not knowing how precious the Holy Spirit is. I received tongues the very next time I went up. I felt like something was touching my lower jaws….. then I opened my mouth and instantly it was stammering at first but then was fluent afterwards of praying , I would feel an unction to speak with my mouth, but it didn’t come through my mind of thinking….. it is your spirit taking over. I said before I ever spoke in tongues and didn’t receive And I got NOTHING. I went home and said maybe it’s not for me. But I went home asking the Lord reading the word the Bibleand meditating on scripture. I asked the Lord if it’s meant and your will… please allow me to be filled with His spirit. That’s when the very next time I went up to the alter to receive…. Praise the Lord I was filled. Thank you Jesus !!!! All powerful God, Almighty God, omniscient God, omnipresent, Omnipotent God 🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻🙏🏻😢

I cry of happiness. I received the gift of speaking in tongues 60 years ago on a vacation with my parents and my brother. My brother and I prayed a bedtime prayer and the Holy Spirit filled me and I got baptized in the Holy Spirit. Not at a big rally. But at home in a small Hamlet up in the North of Sweden.

Thank you Brother Tiff for this wonderful sharing. I experienced the Baptism in the Holy Spirit when I was in the high school in mid 1983 (+/- 41 yrs ago). We truly worship the true and the living God. The helper that Jesus promised to us the believer is the Holy Spirit and not Muhammad as claimed by Muslim. Jesus said in John 15:26-27; “I will send you the Helper[a] from the Father. The Helper is the Spirit of truth[b] who comes from the Father. When he comes, he will tell about me. And you will tell people about me too, because you have been with me from the beginning. Just before Christ ascended to heaven, he promised his apostles that after he was gone, he would empower them with the Holy Spirit. They were to wait in Jerusalem for this to happen (Acts 1:1-4). This event took place ten days later, on the feast day of Pentecost.

The Holy Spirit baptism is how the Spirit is recieved by the believer. I have never read in the book of Acts of a believers recieving the Holy Spirit at one point and being baptized in the Spirit later. They are one and the same event.
