Like yourself Wingy, not a Christmas movie exactly but my pick is 'Superman' and 'Superman II'. My dad took me to see these on their cinematic release. I always remember how pleased I was that he enjoyed those movies as much as I did. Seeing those films always brings back those happy memories shared with my wonderful dad who was and always will be my Superman.

this is a hard one because their are so many great movies ! for me it would be in no particular order, " its a wonderful life (james stewart 1946) " a christmas carol (alastair sim 1951)" "home alone ( macaulay culkin 1990) "wizard of oz (judy garland 1939) " Oliver (mark lester 1968) " "the snowman (raymond briggs 1982) "polar express (tom hanks 2004) and many more that i could mention !. merry christmas and happy new year to all from the caped crusader.

As a child - the Rankin-Bass movies. As an adult - Scrooged, Box of Delights, and the BBC's 1988-1990 Narnia series. Hubby likes Love Actually way more than I would expect from an action and western movie buff.

Wingy I agree with you on Star Wars. I’ve watched it myself at Christmas time. It just feels right. Tbf there are others that I love to watch at Christmas. For example Elf, Home Alone 1 & 2, The Lord of the rings and the hobbit trilogies, Plains trains and automobiles. I also play Batman Arkham Origins every year as it brings back so many great memories at Christmas time and in general and also it is after all set on Christmas Eve. Also another good one for me is The family guy Christmas special road to the North Pole. Watch that nearly every year too .

Harry Potter, the Narnia trilogy, In the Good Old Summertime, Meet Me in St Louis - These aren't Christmas movies but Christmas is either mentioned or they end at Christmas so I like to watch them around Christmas.

💯 bro, I grew up in the 80s and ITV used to show the SW films at Xmas, so was a good opportunity to tape them on to VHS. Happy memories of Christmases past

The Snowman for me is the one that brings back memories of Christmas time as a bairn - to the point that I started crying when I watched it the other day. As an adult, Bad Santa is pretty funny, though it might not be to everyone's tastes.

For my partner…”It’s A Wonderful Life”. For me…”Miracle on 34th Street”. For us both (don’t laugh)…”A Muppet Christmas Carol”….loved your choice and it’s reasons too. Happy Christmas to you and yours…both present and absent…❄️☃️❤️🙏

Elf, Gremlins, Die Hard 1-2 and Christmas Vacations are movies I watch every year. And while not a Christmas film, I always enjoy watching the Indiana Jones films over Christmas. Maybe as like you with Star Wars, I got the trilogy on dvd for Christmas as a present and I have many memories of watching them annually around December.

It's a wonderful life would be the obvious one. It wouldn't be the SW originals, I prefer the prequels anyway but that's another debate!
