Hey Dovydas, nice fkn music! I'm also a musician but rather studio based, got a lot of nice sounds in the laptop with & ableton launchpad but when it comes to playing live, it's not practical, wtf if your computer crash or you accidently pull the usb cable from the soundcard... bye bye performance. So amazon, here I come :) Now my question, why do you use the headphones? Do you have like a 30s-1min testing out your sounds and loops without the cround hearing? Is it for metronome ? Now the looper, I thought that the Boss rc300 footpedal was for guitarist and the rc505 for vocalist or handsfree player. Why did u go with the 505 over the rc300 ??! Thanks !

APC 40, midi keyboards, etc. I may however have to run my guitar separately so there's not latency issues. I'll let you know what I'm working with once I get a setup up and running. Dude, so cool. I do a drumless version with just my guitar split out of the effects out of a boss oc-3 to a sans amp for bass tones, and the effects loop section of an ehx super ego (with a bunch of fx inline) to a separate preamp for keys/pads, then back in, all looping in a strymon timeline. the single instrument version of what you're doing! It is super fun. Great job

What were you using before you got the RC505? I am still trying to learn looping after failed attempts with two versions of the Jamman. I've heard brilliant things done with the Boss loopers but don't know that i need a $500 looper as my first looper. I'm sure I could get one of the previous generations of the the Boss much cheaper on eBay than the RC505 so, would like to know what single feature of the RC505 made it worth the $ in your view, or from another perspective... looking back at previous versions of the Boss loopers, which of the previous versions would be the 'least' capable version you could still get by with and do 90+% of the stuff you do today without problems? Seems like it would be a better place for me to start than acting like buying latest/greatest tech will automatically make me Dovydas. ;-)
@DovydasMusic6 жыл бұрын
I started on rc3, then switched to rc30 and did that for a long time. Then had rc300 for a little bit but shortly after got rc505. If you are just getting into try rc3 or rc30. It's simple and you'll get the basic idea of looping.

@@DovydasMusic Oh... missed a question... what was the one (or two) feature(s) of the RC505 that made it worth leaving the RC300? Put another way, if you had to go back to the RC300 what would the feature(s) you would miss the most? Good luck with what lies ahead!!
@DovydasMusic6 жыл бұрын
Mainly 5 tracks vs 3 tracks. Rc 300 has 3 tracks but 505 has 5 so I thought the more the better which when looping for me usually is. If i continue looping I'll probably get another 505 and sync them together just to have 10 tracks in total
