I’m glad you touched on the sound quality of the drum pad and how the 99.99% of the people in the crowd don’t care. I’ve encountered this problem so many times with myself and other musicians who forget that majority of things we (musicians) obsess about when it comes to sound, gear, etc. make absolutely no difference to the drunk people in the crowd dancing. The most important things for them to hear are the beat to dance to, the lyrics to sing along with, and the occasional signature guitar solo. Everything else is just icing.

Good luck flying with any kind of guitar in a gig bag in Europe these days! The budget airlines have all really clamped down on this lately, as have some of the transatlantic carriers. A US guitarist friend of mine who comes to the uk to tour a couple of times a year got badly caught out earlier this year. He's long travelled with British Airways, but when he rocked up with his guitar in a bag as a carry on, he was turned away. BA's new policy bars guitars altogether as hand luggage. He was told the only way was to book a seat for it - in a HARD CASE! As you can imagine, he was livid! He had to call his wife to come and collect his guitar from the airport, then borrow a guitar to gig with where he got here. Bad form, BA!

TY for another great video review! Wicked! Of the Behringer models, the XR-18 also functions as an audio interface, whereas the XR-12 and XR-16 do not. It's a reason to consider choosing the 18 over the other two. Like others, I had trouble with the XR-18's built-in WiFi, so I bought a $25 Tenda AC1200 Smart WiFi Router on Amazon. It's flawless! I'm sure there are many other routers that will work just as well. Also, after watching your review, I picked up the Mixing Station app-another fantastic purchase, thanks to your channel! Rock on!

Dude! Plus 1 on the air-turn go stands. I looked and scoured the Internet for months trying to find a sturdy but actually portable mic stand that would fit inside my pedalboard bag. This was the only one I could find, and it's been fantastic. I was able to get one that was B stock, and I think that means the sticker on the leg was slightly crooked because I can't find anything else wrong with it. I love this thing, and it sounds ridiculous but it makes the mobile rig finally feel complete.

Thanks for a great topic video! POWER CONDITIONING? and voltage transformers? Maybe it’s too much for a simple flight, or fits another category of videos. Periodically the AC causes problems for gear and a few Hum eliminating devices can save the day/show. I know little about this and just guess to find the problem what to try. The gotos are mostly Morley brand and tried cheap copies but the copies honestly don’t work well compared to the named brand… no affiliation and would love to find a more affordable solution. The most commonly used are a large furman power strip conditioner, an AC outlet plug to clean the power to a speaker and the mixer, and cable line filters. When there’s more space, taking a battery power supply brings a reliable consistent power to the mixer and with nothing touching the AC outlets, the need to use the earlier items is gone.. much cleaner power! Thanks again!

Your detailed and simple explanation of every topic that you speak on really blows me away. Thank you for educating me in my process of discovery! I'm just a hobby musician (keyboard/vocals) putting on private house concerts for friends/family. My set up is keyboard, mic with wireless transmitters, ipad, amp/speaker, backing tracks. Sounds simple but in order to get the sound just perfect you really need sound engineering skills! I also need to add a sound card so that I'm not needing to walk over to the amp/speaker that I've placed 20 ft from my keyboard/mic to adjust the levels. Question: Can I use 2 sets of wireless transmitters (1 for keyboard, 1 for mic) to plug into one single amp/speaker?

M-vave chocolate is a mind blower. Less than 20$ on my local marketplace, awesome software, built-in battery etc. It have only one cons - it has metal body and it kinda shielding bluetooth signal - but you can add 2.4Ghz antenna to it (drill one hole and add one wire to solder) and its effective range increases a lot.

@@ScottUhlMusic it has about 1-3 meters in line of sight without dropuouts by default. Even if you add antenna port. without attaching anything to it - range jumps to 6-7 meters and it can work through tiny wall. I use it with my HX stomp and midi-bluetooth device from m-vave, and I like to place my HX near to mixing desk or patch panel behind the scene - I use Ammoon AM-5g for a guitars, so there is no wires beneath my feets and it is awesome=)
