You should check out the simply modern push button / flip silicone straw lid.

are we supposed to remove the clear rubber circle thing in the caps? My Stanley tm is super easy to remove but the hydro flask is impossible to get out.

I saw a lot of reddit post about flex sip leakage and it makes me get the regular flex cap instead.

Is there a hydro flask lid that has the spout cap attached directly to the lid?
@bottlepro3252Ай бұрын
They came out with a new lid literally a few days after I posted this video if I remember right (unfortunate timing...). It's with a shaker bottle and it is a chug style lid with a spout cap that is on a hinge so it stays connected, and it has their trademark handle style too. I think it fits all their wide mouth bottles but am not positive, and I also don't know if you can buy it separately yet or just with the shaker bottle. I'll be ordering one later this year to test it out.

Sorry so which one is your no.1 pick?

Particularly between flex sip and flex straw, which one would you pick?

Depends some on what I'm drinking. For water from a larger bottle, I'd go with a Flex Straw over the Flex Sip. Especially when driving since you don't have to tilt the bottle up and potentially take your focus off the road as much. But a lot of times I use a 16oz bottle with a Flex Sip lid for coffee, I just don't personally use that one much for water.

I cannot get the flex straw spout off its so strong lol

Yea, it's a pain in the butt compared to other straw lids. Be careful with it though. I made a few other videos about taking the spout off, and I think it's still a good idea to do that every so often to clean everywhere instead of letting bacteria build up. But I limit takign it off as much as possible cause it can lead to wear-and-tear on the spout where it connects to the lid. Luckily the Flex Straw has that removable insert that helps clean more areas under the spout, so I don't feel like I need to take the spout off that one as often as others like the older style Hydro Flask straw lid (the seal under that spout is notorious for buildup).

Which one would keep hot drinks like coffee the longest?
@bottlepro32524 ай бұрын
That's something I'm planning to test this year for Hydro Flask lids, YETI lids, and Takeya's non-insulated spout cap vs their insulated spout cap. Brands usually recommend against using straw lids with hot drinks, so avoid those. I'm assuming the Flex Sip for Hydro Flasks is good since it's designed for coffee, but it could be interesting to see if other lids insulate the same or better.
