Edge of the Earth, imo. Awesome core spell suite, that has a flexibility the class had been missing up to that point, good accessories and of course: The Hammer (which entirely breaks the mystic archetype, even post-errata but _is fun!).

As I'm playing my 4th or 5th time with Luke, I can agree he is probably the strongest mystic due to how he interacts with enemies. Being able to randomly blank mythos phase by just sitting in your box after you just blanked a hunter enemy by teleporting to your dream after they move is insane. The saved movement in many scenarios and campaigns is also very powerful. Mystics are still my favorite but I can see how seekers are probably better. Edit: Also maybe we need an ally and suite of spells that can't be played while you have a permanent so they could be a little more aggressively costed or have some high stat bonuses for their xp but doesnt work with arcane research.

I skipped Dunwich Legacy and got Path to Carcosa as my first cycle. (Also before Revised Core Set). Playing Mystic investigators without Rite of Seeking was an absolute nightmare. I eventually printed most of the Purple cards from Dunwich. I think Mystics, more than any other class, show how Dunwich was Core Set #2 and not just the first Expansion
