Revisiting this video, since I have had the Wilderness Trail and Michters since last comment. I still rank 1910 on top, probably with Double Oak in 2nd, for when I want a dessert whiskey. I was surprised at how sweet and easy-drinking the Michters was. It's very sweet and tasty, but not very complex, so it takes a slight hit there. The Wilderness Trail was surprisingly good, but the wheated is better than the regular BiB, IMHO, and the 6-year WT is fantastic.
@tjwright2 жыл бұрын
The 1910 blew my mind the first time I had it. I'm fairly new, and I've just gotten past the "it tastes like hot brown liquor" phase, and starting to pick up some tasting notes and subtle differences. But the 1910 is the first one that made me sit back and say "holy crap that's different", and in a good way. Great stuff, as are the 1920 and the WRDO. The Jefferson's twin barrel was decent, but not attention-grabbing like the others were for me.

Woodford is the best. It’s aged a total of 8 years and uses pot stills. The oak isn’t burnt to sht to get flavors like the old forester. Which needs to burn them because they are only aged less than 5 years. Not to mention old forester is owned by the same parent company and uses the same barrels. Which basically means old foresters entire flavor profile is based on burning the sht out of the wood and forcing the flavors out and it’s really just a young cheap bourbon less aged than even the regular woodford. Burning the barrel to get flavor results in a burnt flavored whiskey. They should have burnt it less and left it in longer but it’s a money grab.
