Only place near me has washi tape is The Works, 24 rolls for £5. Any idea if they would be any good, I’ve been struggling with normal masking tape ripping my Daler 300 jumbo pad sheets. Or I could get the blue painters tape in screwfix?

So far every tape tried starts pulling up (masking tape, Washi tape, blue painters tape) all after putting it on just keeps pulling up & then bleeds under it? I wet my paper on the back (not drips) and could water under the tape when first apply it cause this issue as do wet in wet and last time (after wetting back) put the tape on and one hour later see it pulling up, then put the blue tape over that (still pulling up) then put the Washi tape over the blue and still pulling up? Could it be water under the tape when I first put paper down. Tyvm.

Hi @appleknocker56 If don't know if you watched the clip to the end but I gave a tip of how to take some of the stickiness off the tape. I have found that this is more useful with some brand of watercolor papers. Hope this helps ✨👩🏻‍🎨✨🎨✨

I found one that works well for me! It’s blue painters tape but says for sharp lines & so far doing very well! Ty

Some of that bleed happened because the paint wasn't completely dry yet.

Hi Yeahaboutthat Thank you for your feedback I did wait for the paint to dry as this was part of the experiment and always do this when using tape anyway, especially with acrylic as this can be an issue. The reason it is more visible is because I used a dark colour but the reason why I used a dark colour was that I wanted to conduct an experiment that was helpful to the viewers. If you have had particular success with one of the tapes that show paint bleed please let me know and have a good day 🎨 👍🏻👩🏻‍🎨
