Oh, I finally got an idea why my 1 year old boy starting whining more. I have never thought about throw a cookie from high chair and get more cookies is an issue. That's why throwing food from high chair turns to be a game, he thinks it's funny. Thank you so much for making this video.

liquid blue a child is only "one year old" for a day she has to cover a wide area also because kids have such different personalities .She can only generalize for some of the points that she makes.

Put in time out and walk away don’t pay no mind and then when time out is up explain to them why you put them in time out like “ I know your upset you were in time out, but you can not hit me or throw things at me its not nice” ( if the child keeps walking out of the time out spot keep putting them back until they accept that they have to do time out but do not React to them leaving the spot because that’s what they are looking for out of you ) you need to have a firm tone

I used to babysit for a lady that had a two year old and the two year old would hit the dog with a toy and every time he did his mother would be like oh what am I going to do with him so when she left every time he hit the dog with a toy I take the toy and put on the top of the fridge by the end of the day he's no longer was hitting the dog with toys and his mother was wondering how I did it

This would be helpful if my son did that. He doesn’t care if I give him food or not, he’ll still throw it when he’s done eating. I don’t know how to address that because obviously my “nos” don’t work. What do you do if your one year old throws your phone or glasses? I take it away, he’ll throw a tantrum but forget later. And do it again.

I would take her advice with caution. I am a board-certified behaviour analyst. Most of her suggestions are punishment based. This is not how you change behaviour in a positive way. It's important to teach a skill and then provide positive reinforcement. Punishment based consequences can work temporarily but they also have negative side effects. I would use caution with them. For example if a child needs to learn to clean up it would be more productive to model the behaviour or to physically assist the child to clean up then provide positive reinforcement. I am wondering what makes you qualified to provide this type of information.

Lol! Oh get over yourself she’s not criticizing....Everybody does things different so she’s explaining what she would do differently according to what she’s learned with her degree....🤦‍♀️And her example makes a hell of a lot more sense than what was said in the video… It worked with my kids!

It's easy to say too keep calm after you stay with the baby NON-STOP! Except that I think that the tips with the food and toys are very good and I'm always doing this with my baby and workes because he understand that he's doing something wrong! I also think that 1 minute is way too short ....I keep him 5 minutes so he can understand that he did something wrong! In 1 minute he doesn't even realizes why is he there! (sorry for my english)

This video ia too old to be reccommended. It is 7 years old and things like positive dispiline in my mind should be more reccommended. Putting a child in a corner for feeling their emotions is not a good thing. It only teaches them that when they are mad about something they will not be seen. And that they should be ashamed of their emotions. When they are angry, sad or frustrated their parents are not there for them but a chair and a corner is. Look up Igor Gabor for more on these side affects ♥️♥️♥️

Example & model. By showing example will encourage instead of just saying “Hey clean up your toys” at this age they don’t necessarily know what that means so we definitely have to model. But it shouldn’t be an expectation as they are still little!

Never bite a child or shout at a child. They are so little. Be calm. Firm and repetitive. Mummy doesn’t like that. Sit them beside you safely for one minute and do not give attention then take them back cuddle and say Mum doesn’t like that. Reinforce positively with good safe boundaries but never hurt or bite or scream at a child!!!! Ridiculous advice.
