@@austinb9732I actually think it’s just harder to do in person lol. They make pretty decent superchats/donations on PLE streams and QM used to bring in loads and loads. It could also be done from home with very little added overhead cost and arguably better presentation. Doing it every other Wednesday or Thursday they’d have basically no wrestling or wrestling livestream competition so they’d draw decent to good viewership… I think money wise it makes more sense than some of the other current PFK/WT shows, but that’s just my opinion

For me, it's Cody. Ever since he returned, he has main evented 3 nights of mania. He won back to back rumbles. He dethroned the longest reigning champ of the modern era. He has been the top merch seller for 3 straight years, and I don't see it changing anytime soon. So in terms of the impact, it is Cody.

Roman Reigns had a better return at SummerSlam 2020 then he did at SummerSlam 2024. CM Punk has a good return so far and definitely a more shocking one, however it's the greatest out of the three because he went to AEW. If that never happened prior to his return at Survivor Series last year I'd say it's one of the greatest returns of all time. Cody Rhodes returned at WrestleMania 38 is the best out of the three despite it being spoiled in advance because he wasn't just former WWE superstar Cody Rhodes, he was former WWE superstar turned indie wrestler who co-founder of AEW and left the alternative promotion he helped create Cody Rhodes who return to WWE at WrestleMania.

Edge was good and motivated a lot of people, but i feel the one that meant the most was Bray. Seeing Bray back was a healing moment against the BS of the Vince Era. It was a moment when we felt Triple H really took over and we could all breathe a sigh of relief. It wasn't just for us but for Bray too. Remember that promo afterward when he poured out his heart. And now think about how that motivated Taylor to form the Wyatt Sicks, and how we all popped when Shatter was played again earlier this week. Edge was good, but Bray sent a message that there was light at the end of the tunnel. And when everything went dark, that someone could pick up the lantern and keep going.

To add to Dan's defense: CM Punk returning to wrestling and WWE were 2 different things. When Punk left WWE, even though he did other things like MMA, there was still the anticipation from fans that "Oh, when will Punk return to wrestling?" And I feel like during those years, Punk wanted a huge platform to make his return. However, the biggest platform by a large margin back then was still WWE. And to nobody's surprise, when AEW started, one of, if not, the biggest question was "When will AEW hire Punk?" The whole "CM Punk return to wrestling being the best Punk return" only hinges on the fact that we haven't seen Punk wrestle for 7 years BUT the possibility of that happening within those 7 years was always there. It was slim but not entirely impossible. Punk returning to WWE, however, was one of the remaining TRUE never-gonna-happen scenarios in the entirety of pro wrestling because of the nasty relationship between the two parties. Even when HHH took over, there was still no way in hell that those 2 will have a conversation about a return. But they made it happen and within a matter of days no less. The whole argument of "Punk was a sellout" is entirely irrelevant because it didn't affect the whole REALITY that Punk returned to the very place that treated him like trash all those years ago. When Punk returned at Survivor Series, a lot of people were saying that "I can't believe we live in the timeline where Punk is in WWE again." But him "returning to wrestling" was only a matter of time.

Loving this new series! Wrestletalk at the moment are on fire with their videos. Between this, the deep dives at the weekends, now the the GM mode has finished i can binge watch the series. The news episodes have been great as well. I do miss some familiar faces (Sat and Andy in particular) and the Smackdown podcast is a miss but can understand you guys need some time off. Also the NRB and Chaotic Neutral channels are amazing as well. I've fallen behind on a lot of content the last couple of months but i have a lot of time off coming up soon. Gonna ve binge watching like crazy. Also at the end of the month i am looking into Patreon for you guys. I spend so much of my times watching all your content and would be list without it.
