this has been the single greatest video for pitching velocity killers, it was actually a guy who knew what he was talking about instead of just blaming mechanics

I suffer from sleep apnea and recently saw a decrease in my velo. This video really opened my eyes to get that fixed to see if I can unlock my velo.

The more of these videos and podcasts I consume, the more I realize my HS coaches didn’t know a thing about baseball

Should pitchers workout biceps when they hit the gym? I’ve heard mixed answers about this and I trust what tread athletics has to say.

Yes

This is such a perfect example of less is more. He was obviously trying to create more drive off his back foot instead of letting gravity and body mechanics create velo?? Sounds like? Im loving this new approach to baseball, could draft and train a team of killers. Be so sick and fun to play out.

I really appreciate your information. Always well thought out and presented in a detailed, professional fashion. That said, I really think you should consider eliminating the background music. It’s not necessary and kind of distracting. Thanks for considering.

Best way is to find a coach who actually knows how assess you. Training with us is obviously the easiest/quickest way, but you need to vet any coaches you might work with and make sure they objectively assess and train their athletes and have hopefully coached hundreds of high level athletes as well.

I'm throwing middle middle liners with no drop from 60', but I'm only throwing around 60mph according to my pocket radar. My spin and accuracy is good, so I think my arm action is fine. I usually play outfield and my throws to 2nd are lasers from close to the fences. The feel, the look, and the glove pop makes me think it's faster than it is. Is there a good way to make sure I am driving with my hips before my shoulder and arms go?

Nice video. For anyone here looking for a more specific answer (i.e., one or two things to work on) I would say to learn as much as you can from Tread's videos about creating separation and what that feels like and then work to add explosive strength and maintain (or better, increase) mobility.

Something mentally stopped my velo during tryouts I was throwing hard which felt to me was lobbing and I was throwing harder than everyone else first 2 pitches of tryouts to the plate fastballs and it was pitcher fielding drills so people kept messing up and the coach said get it over the plate no matter what the first 2 throws were down the middle then after he said that I tremendously dropped velo and kept losing throughout the season to ending up throwing 55mph in highschool level whatever is blocking me is mentally I need to fix it I just don’t know how
@Ian-yf1rl2 жыл бұрын
Your problem is most likely mechanical. It's possible to fall into poor mechanics during a season, especially if you are focusing on what a coach said one time instead of doing your job. Do what this guy talks about and 'sharpen your axe'. Hone your craft. Confidence will come with preparation and practice.
