Allah is a soul. He is the super intelligent superconsciousness present everywhere in every atom, molecule and space. This superconsciousness can create reality or the universe from matter, sustain this reality and ultimately dissolve all reality into his superconsciousness. Everything emanated from him and will one day dissolve in him. Think of how all matter gets sucked into nothingness in black holes. In other words the universe exists from nothingness to nothingness or his superconsciousness. The purpose he creates the universe is because of LOVE for ALL SOULS to have a medium to realise and seek merger in him. It does not make any difference whether you are believer or non-believer because his consciousness is also within the core of each and everyone of our consciousness waiting to be awakened within. Allah is the infinite, universal super-intelligent superconsciousness present everywhere within his creation. Hence different concepts of him by different cultures and different people during different ages. We can only realize him or merge our soul consciousness with his superconsciousness, through love for him and also love for all his creation. He is the same ultimate author of all scriptures and all knowledge. No one belief can claim exclusivity to this universal entity.

Al-lah' simply means 'The god'. The question is: the god of 'what'? Is he the god of peace or the god of righteousness? OR is he the god of thunder or the god of fertility? The name is so open ended that it is subject to different interpretation. The True God will never introduce himself as that. God introduced himself to Moses as 'Yahweh' or 'YHWH' meaning 'I Am' or 'I AM that I AM' (self existing One, Eternal One, existing from eternity past to eternity future) and YHWH instructed Moses that any prophet who comes by any other name(like al-Lah) should be put to death(we all know how the Islamic prophet died). Please Bible translators shouldn't translate God's Holy Personal Name(YHWH) to al lah when translating the Arabic Bible. They should quickly correct this terrible mistake for the name Al-Lah has a pagan root.
