It is interesting that there were so many religious "teachers" that came with ideas about how things worked with god, jesus, the world, sin, salvation, etc and then went around preaching their ideas as the truth and converting followers to believe in it. Rather than coming up with an idea and then preaching it as the truth, wasn't there ever anyone that said something like "Hey, I've got this idea about how everything works and I thought I would just tell you guys about it and see what everyone thought about it" ? It seems like that approach would be much saner than just preaching an idea you came up with was true.

The singular creator of the universe would not have a need to emphasize that it is the one and only, much less demand confirmation of that fact from its creation under threat of death.
