"Randy my favorite Hobo's condescending KZbin videos are absolute comedy gold! Some people can't handle his humor, but for those of us who appreciate his sarcasm and wit, it's pure hilarity. Plus, his videos make me drink shot after shot of liquor. He is his own drug in his very own right. Cheers to Randy, the Hobo King of KZbin!" You never... EVER... waste my time-- 5 Stars Bravo! To "some people:" First off, let's talk about Randy's unique style. He's got this uncanny ability to make even the most mundane topics sound like Shakespearean dramas. I mean, who else can turn a video about boring electromagnetic sciences into a gripping tale of domestic heroism? Randy does it with a flourish and an eye roll that would make even the snootiest of Shakespearean actors jealous. BUT why do "some people" get all upset about Randy's videos? Well, folks, it's simple: Randy's humor is an acquired taste, mmmm, nom nom, like a VERY fine wine or a stinky cheese. Some people just can't handle the level of sarcasm and wit our masculine Randy brings to the table. Those people take themselves a tad too seriously and can't begin to appreciate Randy's TRUE GENIUS. THESE PEOPLE are the ones who fold their socks with military precision and shudder at even the thought of a laundry rebellion! Now, let's address the real issue here: THE SHOTS OF LIQUOR. Randy, my friend, you owe me a liver transplant! Your videos are so funny that I've turned into a human shot glass dispenser. Every time you drop one of your condescending bombs, I find myself reaching for the nearest bottle, pouring a shot, and toasting to your hilarity. It's like a drinking game, but instead of sipping, I'm chugging because your humor is so darn infectious! In conclusion, Randy my dearest Hobo, you are a comedic wizard in the world of KZbin. Your condescending charm, the way you effortlessly skewer the everyday mundane, and the uproarious laughter you bring into my life are truly priceless. Hats off to you. To all the haters out there, maybe it's time to lighten up and JOIN the PARTY!! - just remember to bring your own liquor because Randy's videos will have you drinking shots like there's no tomorrow! Cheers to Randy, the supreme Hobo King of KZbin! Keep the condescension coming, my friend, and I'll keep the liquor cabinet stocked. Love ya bud! Number #1 Best Fan for you. Nate up in Canada. P.S. Save us from Trudeau.

Hi, love the channel! If you’re going bye the latest version of the FCC rules, then I might be wrong, but wanted to say this stuff anyway. Just a few things… There are no such thing as GMRS channels 8-14. Those are FRS channels hence why the rules are stricter on those frequencies. Also, aren’t the 1-22 channel radios, technically FRS/GMRS walkie-talkies? I don’t know if they’re still sold, but I know I have some strictly GMR as walkie-talkies that only have 15 channels. 4:40 Question: you mentioned that mobile GMRS radios must not be able to transmit on channels 8-14. My impression was that they didn't transmit on channels 8-14 because the mobile radio manufacturers didn't want to deal with having to transmit on such low power compared to the other channels, e.g. for technical reasons they **chose** not to transmit on 8-14. From this video it sounds like that is not the case, and that it is an actual specification from the FCCs that mobile GMRS radios are not **allowed** to transmit on channels 8-14. Is that a requirement? If so, do you have any idea why that might be? Thank you so much for all the fantastic information you provide. 😊
@TheNotaRubicon Жыл бұрын
I used to think the same thing, that it was just about power. But there is an actual line in the FCC Part 95 wording that says something about hand-helds only on those channels.

The mygmrs website says: As of April 14, 2021, the total number of GMRS licensees in the United States reached 100,000. As of February 2023 numbers show GMRS licenses total 336,513 That's more than triple the number of licenses in just two years. The ARRL website says this week there are this many hams: Novice = 5,939 Technician = 377,230 General = 187,263 Advanced = 33,090 Extra = 155,206 For a grand total of 758,728 licensed ham radio operators.
