I just went from being a full desk corporate recruiter for sales to our new team of just corporate sourcers which will source for all of our positions. Thansk for the breakdown. This is my new career coming from management and has been fun.

Thanks for the video. Yours and a few others have convinced me to take the step and switch from 20 years of finance to the world of recruitment. Only 6 weeks in, but the change was the right one. No more reporting, no more over time working evenings and weekend, no over the top stress. Have a life again and no more dread of switching on that computer in the morning.

Thank you for this video! Now I know the difference. Your channel has been a big part of my recruiting journey in the last year and a half. Wanted to be a recruiter straight out of college. Started out as an external recruiter (less sourcing, more candidate experience and closing, a little bit of business development) and recently transitioned into a role where I would now classify myself as a full cycle recruiter (sourcing a lot more and developing client relationships on a deeper/more frequent level, while balancing candidate experience and closing). Good stuff! Looking forward to the next video. ☺️

I love this because I was hired to work with in a little company ( under 500 emps) as a Recruiter but really it was a TA position, they always referred to sourcing candidates but they only had candidates who came from applying directly to their jobs posted across some various platforms. this is NOT sourcing! LOL I had to share with them what Recruiting, Sourcing and Talent Acquisition'ing really is. This video is super helpful as well!

hi there with 30 years exp in Search, Sourcing and Talent Acquisition we should do a session on how do you recognise talent. The impacts of Human Interaction in the Candidate X along with Candidate Coaching/Onboarding to 3 month probation.

Thanks for this! I currently work for a company as a professional recruiter. Buttt they also have the roles of "Full-desk recruiter" & Account Executive. The issue is I am doing it all. The sourcing, the recruiter experience, & closing. Which I feel is a lot! They even have me updating their resumes, Typing out what to send to the client to present the candidate. And I just had an interview for a TA sourcer which is what you expressed in the beginning. I knew something wasn't right about the structure of my current role. Because I am making recruiter salary while doing Everything which I feel is unfair. I am even doing business development and have metrics I have to meet. I feel used honestly.

I'm sorry you feel taken advantage of. Look at the bright side. You are getting experience in all sectors. This is only making you stronger and more desirable to other firms (or maybe your own). Take your career into your hands! Good luck and keep me posted.

In the middle of my 3rd week with an agency! I do all of the sourcing, candidate experience, and facilitating with the closing. I have an account manager who is the client holder and maintains all communications with the client. And he's the one who finds the clients and makes the initial deal with them. This video brings up a big question from me (maybe a new video? ;) ). I know it's all a part of the process, but my first few interviews fell through because the candidates backed out. And not because of other offers, but because they were passive candidates who were not actively on the job search when I found them, and suddenly they decided it wasn't the direction they wanted to take after all. Any advice on how to hold on to candidates like this? The ones who are willing to be submitted at the first conversation, but when an interview offer rolls around, they start getting cold feet. Thanks so much for doing these videos!! I've been watching them very closely while I get my start in the industry!

Amazing to hear and hope you are enjoying it! Some things can't be controlled, but try and give as much info as you can about the role before scheduling them. If you feel like they are on the fence don't force it until you get a strong confirmation from them.

Hi there This is the first time I saw your video & I must say that every single thing that you mentioned is correct. I have been in the Industry for 4 years and started as a Sourcer, moved to Recruiter & finally the Account Manager position. I am looking to transition from my current Industry (Light Industrial i.e. Logistics & Manufacturing) to IT Recruitment. I was wondering if you can recommend some good courses to learn the basics for the industry and ultimately become the best at what I do:)

Hi Brianna! I have a question about sourcing, how do I keep myself in the loop after presenting the candidate to my client in order to know if he is hired / rejected, I fear being too annoying or missing the hiring fee due to lack of communication. Thanks, keep up the good work!
@TheMillionaireRecruiter3 жыл бұрын
Talk about the communication and process during your client calls and onboarding so everything is laid out upfront. Explain how it will help if you are kept in the loop with candidate updates so that you can follow up on your end.

I'm not in that industry and haven't done any market research. Are they on Linkedin or job boards more? Additionally, what key words besides title would you be looking for? Every industry has certain booleans and logic to go by. The only thing is, where do those people network? For me engineers are all on Linkedin, Github and Stackoverflow.

it has to be tough to try to fit content in a >10 min video and at the same time make the video productive and without all this verbiage. Productivity vs fitting content for more viewers. This is just a personal observation.
