What is the difference between ‘phrase’ and ‘sentence’?

@rian rodrigues Não é 100% claro pra mim ainda, mas vou tentar ajudar. Uma "sentence" precisa ter sujeito e predicado, e não tem verbo no infinitivo e a "phase" precisa apenas ter sentido. Aqueles pedaços da "sentence" são "phases" e são classificados em nominal, verbal... Basicamente foi o que eu entendi. Espero ter ajudado 😊

You are saying that a phrase dose no include a subject that is totally wrong why look at the example Running a marathon requires training. In this , "Running a marathon" is a Gerund phrase that works as a subject Am I right or wrong?
