What a waste of cap space Perry was, and he didn't even get league minimum, Poor cap management there. Perry is a healthy scratch and really has nothing left. I don't buy the he brings experience thing at all. I mean the Oilers just made the Final last season, not 10 years ago. It should have been JVR they used that money on to begin with.

Skinner-McDavid-Hyman will provide lots of offense but zero defensive discipline. I would expect to see Nuge on that line, and Skinner with Draisaitl and Arvidsson.

@@steverogers5956 Perhaps. If Kane is on LTIR i just put Podkolzin on the second line cause I think it'd be a good idea to get him going early in the season, give him confidence.

I don't have much faith in the Oilers D. But who does. I also don't think Skinner is a top 40 goaltender. Most do. I hope some upgrades are made during the season or this might be a bullet train right into the heart of Pooperville. I don't want to go to Pooperville.

I have this feeling that they will delay Kane's surgery until they can legitimately make it a "to the end of the regular season" recovery, then put him on LTIR and use that cap space for a major right-sided defense acquisition at the trade deadline...

​@@Swttng780that isn't what they're saying. They didn't mention him missing the playoffs at all. They said they will delay it so that the recovery after surgery will be long enough for him to be ready for game 1 of the playoffs
