I think a good idea for the cart customization is to have presets. In the options, there are many parts that have specific sets. You have the standard combo, animal crossing, breath of the wild, Mercedes, standard bike, standard ATV, Ect. I think the best move forward is to make it optional. After you pick your character, you can chose between presets or customisation. To add on to that, you can also save your own custom presets. That way, you can easily switch between different combos you like without having to manually select every time.

Idea 2 I can sort of get behind, I do feel that a Splatoon esqe style works well for Splatoon, not exactly for Mario kart. Me personally, I found myself playing less and less Splatoon as time went on while Mariokart is still a series and game I play often. I do love the Quests idea, just want it to be unlockable in non-online play as well, and a shop for the coins we get in game could work, as long as there's no pay-to-win microtransactions within.

If I was realistic, the next Mario Kart would be just another Mario Kart game, featuring a new gimmick, better graphics, a new art style, gameplay changes (better gamesplay), 32 tracks (16 new, 16 retro) with 16 more as DLC, a roster featuring some characters from Tour who didn't make it to 8 Deluxe plus some potential newcomers like Prince Florian, species from Mario Odyssey and Wonder appearing in tracks as obstacles, spectators or the background, some of the new tracks will become fan favorites, 8 battle maps. Balance patches would be much more common meaning that characters and vehicles are going to have stat changes during its life cycle. If I was to predict its flaws, the battle mode would be rushed, maybe it might end up have a bad item balance, one of the new items is going to be very annoying and the Shell Cup is going to suck and it might also be unbalanced in some time periods of the meta.

also, since there are 24 players in battle mode, there can be a hunger games option, where there are no teams, everyone has a healthbar , the only pile of items is in the middle of the stage, and if you lose all your health, you are eliminated entirely. bananas would do eighth damage, green shell would do quarter damage, red would do third, fake box would do quarter, bomb would do half, bullet would do K.O, Mega mushroom, would do half, and Blue shells would target the nearest player, and K.O. them.

the next one *is* going to be live service, idk why anyone would assume otherwise. the only way for the next MK to make more money than just selling more copies of MK8DX (which is STILL one of their best-selling games to date per month) is to mtx the heck out of all of us. Idea 2, besides the "everyone is here" part, is the best and also closest to what we'll actually get. EDIT: Regarding idea 3, if they do this it'll be called "Super Nintendo Kart" and the IP focus will be on the kinds of IPs they want to make theme parks out of (so far Mario and Donkey Kong, but I can easily see Zelda, Animal Crossing, Kirby, and Splatoon). There's no way Metroid, F-Zero, etc., get a full cup but they'd get some tracks. EDIT2: Realistically we're getting half Idea 2, half Idea 3.

I designed my own Mario kart with 56 tracks. 28 nitro, 28 retro. 32 different characters with different costumes and many ways to unlock them such as getting coins and defeating bosses in mission mode or winning all Grand Prix. The feature would be every track having a backwards variant. I made and Luigi’s mansion section track and the best one I designed is a section based track based on all the different themes for levels in the mainline Mario series.

Mario Kart almost had a Sarasaland themed track which had the code MOB DK (Daisy Kingdom). Became Pirhana Plant Pipeline (a revival of DS Dokan Course). A Sarasaland track would be awesome. Princess Daisy really needs a track in her own empire. And finally show us what MOB NU, MOB MU, MOB M and that cancelled Tour nitro track was.
