I have slowly come to believe in total restoration (through Jesus ) over the past 2-3,years and can’t believe I believed in an eternal hell. My journey started with “The Bible and Universalism” by Yale Philosophy professor Keith Derose. Surprisingly I found there is very strong support for Universalism in the Bible. Subsequently I have found numerous people like yourself that have helped me continue to build my understanding of this view. Thank you for your great work.

I find it amazing for those brothers who teaches Universalism. They've got the joy the love on their face. Whereas most of Evangelistic Christians are seems no contentment at all with the good news.

Maybe it’s because what they are teaching isn’t actually the good news?

I personally classify myself as a second hand Universalist. Jesus is not looking to burn the Kosmos, he's looking to restore it.

What does “second hand” mean for you in this context?

Im so sick of people fighting this it makes me doubt it, even though I've really looked into it, and when I doubt it, I give up.

I have a dilemma though.... maybe not related to the subject you presented, still important in its detail: why does the apostle Paul say that in 2Pt2: v. 6: and if He condemned the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah to destruction by reducing them to ashes, having made them an example to those who would live ungodly lives thereafter; actually, the whole chapter , that the hellfire is literal though Jesus tells the disciples Now when the time was approaching for Him to be taken up [to heaven], He was determined to go to Jerusalem [to fulfill His purpose]. He sent messengers on ahead of Him, and they went into a Samaritan village to make arrangements for Him; When His disciples James and John saw this, they said, “Lord, do You want us to command fire to come down from heaven and destroy them?” But He turned and rebuked them [and He said, “You do not know what kind of spirit you are; for the Son of Man did not come to destroy men’s lives, but to save them.”] And they journeyed on to another village, according to Luke 9:51-52, 54-56 AMP? I'm confused: what is the true nature of the fire " that comes down from heaven" ??? Who lights it up? Is it Satan or Jesus ? And if the fire of judgement is literal, then annihilation is true, conditional immortality, and not some 3rd ressurection that the Bible does not mention anywhere!!! Don't get me wrong , I TRULY WANT THE FIRE TO BE JUST SOME SORT OF NON PHYSICAL REBUKE FROM THE LORD, BUT IT SURE DOESN'T SEEM THAT WAY from some bible verses.... thank you for taking your time to answer my dilemma!

God is Love......if I have not love , I am nothing. A man will restore an old car because he loves it !
