@ 12:00 , Paul is describing justification by faith that was also proclaimed by Moses. The doers of the (Mosaic) Law had to do so by faith.

This series is awesome. It makes me wonder though about all the “Christians” since Antioch, or more since the Church of Rome, who have been taught by church leaders that obedience is not necessary and even wrong, as was studying the Bible for oneself. Even today, i didn’t see the truth of obedience until about eight years ago when Yah called me to look to Him and not to the left or the right. As i did, He began opening my eyes to truths i had never seen before although i had read and studied the Bible for many years. What happens to the many who believed they were good just saying the “sinner’s prayer”, going to church on Sunday, celebrating easter and christmas, paying tithes and being a good person according to their definition of good?

119 ministries Holy Spirit never ceased its overflowing Holy wisdom to you “ the word is near you , in your mouth and in your heart “ i never thought this just a plain simple line. But as you dissect the depth in biblical theology in gives so much life to us! This is so powerful! I even thought it’s really hard to overcome sin it’s impossible! But with this line it became clear to me that We Christians needs much of people like you 119 ministries! So satisfying to realize that we christians missed alot of biblical essence and substance of the scriptures! May God heal me more thank you 119 ministries! You sparked something in me today again.

With regard to James 2:24 mentioned at 22:47, how much works of our own doing (even that which is done according to faith) justify us? Can it be that James was writing about a different faith that is necessary when we are being sanctified by our works?

Supporting Scripture... Isa 28:9 Whom shall he teach knowledge? and whom shall he make to understand doctrine? them that are weaned from the milk, and drawn from the breasts. Isa 28:10 For precept must be upon precept, precept upon precept; line upon line, line upon line; here a little, and there a little... Shalom Randy, We believe we are saved by grace ONLY through faith in our Messiah. Obedience is not for salvation, but it is evidence of our salvation. As James 2:18 states: I will show you my faith BY MY WORKS James 2:18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith BY my works. We hope this helps to clarify what we believe. ...still testing... 11:38 what? Where in the bible does it say that the law of Moses is our marriage vows to God? Exodus 19 v5&6 does not contain marriage language. What is your source for asserting this?
@jamesh7554
@jamesh7554 Жыл бұрын
Exodus 24:6-8. The people said WE DO and the "marriage" was "consummated" by the sprinkling of blood on the people. The marriage concept is an allegory, it is not explicitly stated as such in Exodus. The prophets use the marriage language as an allegory frequently.
@ThomasThiemeJr
@ThomasThiemeJr Жыл бұрын
@@jamesh7554Very misleading. "We do" does not equal "All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient". The subject of "We do" is "We". The subject of the longer phrase is "All that the LORD hath said". To take that fragment out of the clause does not even produce the same sentence. It also shifts the spotlight from God's word, to us. I do not accept this scripture as teaching a marriage relationship. Nobody would ever think this passage teaches a marriage relationship based on "All that the LORD hath said will we do, and be obedient". But anyone can read what is actually said and understand the commitment. I just don't understand why we need to make this a marriage when it clearly isn't. Do we really need this to be a marriage anyway in order to believe the rest of this video?

@ThomasThiemeJr
@ThomasThiemeJr Жыл бұрын
@@jamesh7554 How can God marry or divorce Israel if Israel is also his son (Ex ch4v22)? The answer is that the marriage/divorce language the prophets are fond of using is allegorical rhetoric that perfectly conveys the real issue of rebellion and backsliding (also Jer 3). The Holy Spirit has inspired the usage of allegory all throughout the Bible. We study it and take the literal parts literally and glean the meaning from allegorical ideas. We do not take the allegories literally (Israel being the son of Jahovah). Jesus is the Son of God

@@douglaswitsby1098 I appreciate that very thoughtful reply. Just to be clear, it's not the Word of God that is unclear in my mind, it's this portion of teaching. Many others have asked similar questions and I'm still unclear on what Yeshua meant when speaking to the apostles in Matt 10 on where to go and who to reach and how that doesn't seem to align with this teaching. I know full well Father does not change. Where there is confusion, it is on the shoulders of man, not Yah's word. I think I'm just stuck somewhere between the message and the application/fleshing out of this teaching. If it is true, it radically changes my personal perspective on the Brit hadasha and Paul's teachings (which have already undergone extensive new understandings in the past few years) PRAISE YAH for it.

Hello The gospel is the gospel of the kingdom! Jesus the Messiah suffered and died, God raised him from the dead and exalted him to his right hand! Jesus is going to return and set up the kingdom of God ON THE EARTH! God’s government ON THE EARTH! Believers will rule the nations with Jesus! The Messiah died for his people! God resurrected the Messiah! The Messiah will resurrect his people at his coming! They will rule the nations! The destiny of the Messiah and his people is to be ON THE EARTH! The renewed restored earth! God also dwelling with them! Rev 21 Matt 24 14 And this gospel of the kingdom will be proclaimed throughout the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come. Jesus said the Father is the only true God! John 17 3 And this is eternal life, that they know thee the only true God, and Jesus Christ whom thou hast sent.

The righteous shall live by Faith. They go hand in hand. You can't just have faith and NO righteous works. And you can't have righteous works with no faith. Faith and works go together. Faith without works is dead. What kind of works? God's works which are the commandments of God.

It’s like a marriage, you must show to your spouse that you love him/her by works but before you had faith in each other to endure until the end. Try to stay in a marriage neglecting your spouse, that won’t last. Same applies to our relationship to Christ Yahshua, we must bear good fruit to display to Him our love, obedience and thanksgiving to Him by the Law of His Father. Unfortunately many will perish because they are in the “once saved always saved” and “the Law is for the Jews” doctrine of demons

@@thechronicillnessdiaries2773 Can't disagree with that. True faith works. However, there are false christians doing good works having never been saved, but their fruit is fake and will not last. Yes, true faith will produce a desire to obey the law of God and the indwelling Spirit can enable this obedience in us. Just be careful to which law you think you have to be obedient. The law of God and the law of Moses are not identical. 119 also has a video claiming they are the same law but it is false.

@@John8_36 Marriage is a good analogy, and I like your handle. John8v36 is a personal favorite. Not sure why you needed to include enduring to the end though. That passage of scripture does not refer to the eternal salvation in heaven, but to bodily salvation here on earth during a time of great tribulation. Scripture is also quite clear that the believer is secure in Christ, and I believe in OSAS, but I am also aware of many "christians" who claim OSAS and then live like the devil. I can't see their heart, but would not consider them saved based on the fruit I see. Believing in eternal security does not make one lost, but living lawlessly brings reproach on the name of Christ and I cannot imagine an actual christian being ok with that.
