I know there is usually an abundance of ammo in earlier halo games but in halo 4 you definitely have to switch weapons. You can't just play with 2/3 weapons for a whole mission and never run out of ammo, unless you just speedrun to some extent.

@@Tora209 that's why you have a second weapon to deal with shields. Ones they Are down, Elites die pretty easy by one headshots. Pistol also shrads through jackals and grunts, oneshots Hunter (ridicolous). Though it a bit steps aside in second half Of The game, when flood spam shows up and shotgun really starts to shine, but it still blasts those banshees on TB and can really reduce number Of combat forms marching towards you before things become melee. Can't say it is that much overpowered though. It Just the only percise weapon besied sniper (which runs out Of ammo pretty fast unless it is T&R) and one Of The few weapons that is effective at any range.

Jackals are not the only problem. Hunters in 2 were harder, flood were much harder, elite ai was improved to where they can not only shoot plasma rifles accurately from far but faster then you can, brutes were dumb until angry were they a threat, jetpack elites deal massive damage, youre vehicle gets destroyed so fast from a god damn ai on the ground let alone from enemy vehicles like banshees, etc.

I'm only just now playing through Reach, but I think it's a lot harder than CE. The ai in CE is pretty exploitable and the plasma pistol destroys most enemies. In Reach it feels a lot harder to land hits with the plasma pistol and the ai is brutal.

All you have to do is jump on the roof and pick off all but one brute then jump around collecting weapons and repeat until the brutes come out of the upper doors then it becomes difficult but sometimes they'll spawn on the other side and you can carbine them. Rest of the level is cake.

I've never done a Halo 2 legendary run, but after playing through on Heroic back when the Anniversary version came out I can safely say I have no desire to. Gravemind was an absolute nightmare even on that difficulty. I'm so glad MCC actually hard saves checkpoints, meaning you don't have to select Save and Quit in order to keep your progress. I'll never forget being 3/4 of the way through Gravemind back in Halo 2 classic and the power going out. I lost all my progress on that level and damn near yeeted my xbox out the window

Alright so my plan was to do the entire PC release of MCC legendary solo. It's good to know that I've already done the top two on this list. I only did heroic for Reach because I was going in blind but I will go back for it. Honestly I felt like most of CE was pretty easy. Like most of the games major obstacles took place in Truth and Reconciliation or earlier. After that point you never really get ammo worries. The introduction of the flood actually just made it easier because the shotgun takes any of them down in a single pop,. They are weak to ballistic weapons meaning the assault rifle isn't completely useless anymore, while the Covenant weapons are still of similar effectiveness as before.

9:00 the only thing thats mentally exhausting about halo reach is that fucking starfox space fight shit. The problem with reach is the level design...if you ignore the problem and focus on how the game is probably supposed to be played then you might have fun. But since in 80% of the game you are assisted by invincible spartans that you can use as decoy or bullet sponges, this game sucks, the solution for a lot of sections of the game was to afk at a safe spot and do something else irl ( fucking space jet fights ) . The sections where they were not around were great, literally the most dynamic combat of all halo games i played, you have to play like an actual predator against the elites because they play their surroundings very well.

I remember beating Delta Halo for the first time on Legendary. I fucked up and ended up ammoless in the room with the four honor guards. My choices were: A) Go back out to get ammo then get immediately killed by sniper jackals B) Challenge the first sword elite to a fist fight, then kill the other 3 with his sword C) Quit I ended up going with B), and somehow I made it work.

Gravemind isn’t bad if you hide in the beginning on the second level and get the carbine between waves. Then you can just take your time and snipe enemies. Several spots you can avoid enemies too. For The Library, just trigger the spawns and walk backwards. You can always outrun flood enemies and they mostly only use melee, so take them out at a distance with the pistol. You can run past them when they distracted fighting sentinels.

Even the library is a bit of a cakewalk once you know how to handle the flood (well the last section is a bit retarded regardless).

Adhem E. On mythic, Reach is hardest in my opinion. You can literally only kill anything via beat downs or assassination, and you basically only have one shot at it and if you miss it you die This is a bad recipe for hoards if enemies, vehicles, and hunters. Remember the part in The Package when you have to kill two hunters? Yeah that part alone takes the longest time ever. Also sucks to kill brutes on LASO even though they’re slower than the elites (who will roundhouse kick you)

Once you know the tricks it isn't that hard but you can still get stuck on parts. Plasma pistol and br headshots, and carbine make halo 2 legendary pretty simple

Indra Deus I actually used the Needler, Sword, Sniper/Beam Rifles, shotguns, plasma rifles and rockets/fuel rod a lot, so those aren't the only valid weapons and I just want to politely correct your mistake, though if thats how you did it I won't judge you, and I really disliked the pistol and NEVER used it

I always am like “Halo Reach has the hardest campaign” But then I remember I always play with no less than three skulls on (mythic, tilt, thunderstorm) Playing LASO, Halo Reach is the hardest campaign comparatively to any other with difficulty boosters in my opinion

Halo 2 LASO is infinitely more brutal. You can and will die instantly to enemies from 100+ meters away.

I'd say the hardest mission is probably the 2nd last on reach just bc of the amount of stuff you gotta deal with and definitely bc of the landing pad part it was so aonnying that i just searched for a DMR sniper or pistol just to make it easier bc the grenade launcher did absolutely nothing i only killed when i need too and those hunters i had no good weapons so i needed to hide wait for em to look onto my AI teammate shoot and repeat for along time since i didn't have grenades and the last part is just aonnying i forgot to kill a elite so when i die i need to kill that elite go back on the gun hold everything off then kill the big ship the room was aonnying as well bc of everything that was there im gonna have PTSD everytime i see a elite on reach

Halo 1 will forever be the hardest for me because of the 1 run I had with Keyes I will never wanna play that mission on Legendary ever again Halo 2 was the easiest cause tbh you can predict the Jackal Sniper spawns and you can actually skip every jackal Sniper section in the game Halo 3 is also a easy 1 when I'm playing solo Co-op teammates keep dying :( Halo 3 ODST was also easy almost as Halo 2 Halo 4 Promethans stangled me Halo Reach is the 4th hardest for me only a couple missions that are pretty tough Halo 5 So many Spongebob's for fuck sake BUCK REVIVE YOU PIECE OF SHIT!!!

Halo 4 was the only Halo that I beat on Legendary Solo. It was the hardest shit ever but I was so damn desperate for the Mark VI armor in Multiplayer. I was so happy and proud of myself when I finally killed the Didact. This was way back in like 2014 though.

Just discovered your content and it's great but this list is weeeiiird man. I did the legendary campaigns for the first time during the same kind of time last year and I dont agree with any placement here, except perhaps ODST as the easiest (though it is tied with 4 in my view). Point of fact- you mention elites taking loads of shots to kill on Reach. Is it not 2? Plasma overcharge plus headshot? :P I do agree CE is much harder than most people say it is...I actually place it above 2. But there we go! Keep it up mate
