What is the HGV Skills Bootcamp?

The HGV Skills Bootcamp is a Government-funded programme that helps you get started on your career as a heavy goods vehicle (HGV) driver, or gain qualifications to move up in the industry.

I put my application in at the end of last year, and come January i had been accepted and started. Few online meetings, studied mostly online, passed my theory, then my medical and then passed the CPC. Just waiting on my practical now which is booked for the near future. Thank you. "Edit" Have now passed my practical! Big thanks to SP training, and everyone involved, and my instructor Vince was absolute first class, not just a top instructor, but a top bloke also.

I think there are a few different companies doing the scheme, and you're right, some of them have. As the company i am with mentioned, they had to take on a load of new people, as they had taken them on from them companies that went into administration.
