Not only is pre-flight and maintenance important for quality product but also to minimize on the attention bad droning, especially drunk drowning, attracts from the FAA. I suppose it's inevitable the FAA will eventually have to crack down and require micro-geofencing everywhere including people's living rooms but responsible equipment handling could help minimize on frequency of incidence leading to these regulations and restrictions and buy us some extra "freedom" time.

Good content I like the info but, how exactly do I calibrate my IMU in the (air conditioning) in a field with no tall buildings around?😅

The latest firmware on the Inspire 2 has a big problem with this, as soon as the camera is going 90 degrees down for mapping, then it's going +-25 degrees up again, I have done the imu calibration, then compass calibration and then camera calibration but without any success. Backdated to previous firmware (after I replaced my x4s camera - still the same problem) & it looks like it's sorted now, so what I want to say is horizon drift isn't always imu, it could be a lot of things...

Hi, I have a Pixhawk 2.4.8, Everytime I arm the drone, yaw inconsistent by 21deg 22 23 message and it disarms in idle mode or rtl in flight mode. I tried disabling imu in prearm check, then the error goes... How to rectify the imu issue, I tried calibrating accelerometer many times still problem exists. Pls help....

I'm sorry, but this is bogus info. You should not be calibrating your IMU before each flight, that's total non sense. Same with compass calibration. If you noticed DJI has changed that advice, now that there is dual IMU and Compass in DJI craft, something you didn't mention. Once you have a good calibration, leave it alone. The odds are FAR GREATER to get a bad calibration and ruining your shoot by always calibrating, versus sticking with a good calibration. What you should have mentioned was make sure you keep the drone away from magnetic devices, such as speakers. Too close and it will ruin your next shoot. And regarding batteries, you say it's harmful to stop charging a battery without completing the charge cycle to 100%, but that's EXACTLY what DJI's storage mode does in their own charging cradle. Paul's wrong again. What makes you think you know more than DJI about their own batteries? I like you guys, but sometimes Paul you're simply wrong.

Up here in the frozen north, you can’t take-off during cold weather without an IMU calibration. Nothing worse than hanging out in the cold, trying to get footage of winter activities but you’re grounded because “...IMU Initializing...” 😒

Honest review: Drop the “nobody’s footage is as good as mine” arrogance and off piste waffle... stick more to facts based around your title. Honestly as soon as I sense a slight bit of “I’m an expert and they’re not” I’m out! Nearly 10mins of video contained about 1min of useful info 🤷🏻‍♂️
