Nice video. I ordered mine today. AMD Ryzen 7 pro 5850U, 16GB DDR4 and 512GB NVMe SSD variant. Just for €800. It's amazing how much you get for that amount of money.

Thanks for this great review Tom, absolutly bang on covered almost all of what i was hoping to learn. I would have liked to have gotten some info on battery capicity and your opinion based on your use of the batteries life. It was nice that you touched off the E series differentiating from the other series, but if i can offer a video idea, i would love it if somone would actully explain and really show the difference in the model series, ie why is a laptop of exact same spec that is an Intel T15 any different from a E15. Lenovo has a basic breakdown of the meaning of the letters but it does not really explain really what the difference is. I do know that back in the days of the T450s and the T480 that under that plastic is a carbotitanium exoskellaton with liquid drainage ports. where as the E450 did not have the same Military spec frame under its plastic. anyway thanks for the awesome video.

Thanks for the review, I read that the screen isn't very great and the colors don't look accurate, is that true or is it okay? Do white colors look yellowish or something? I'm a web developer and I do some light gaming so I want to make sure of these things.
@TomsTechVerdict3 жыл бұрын
Hi Hydra star. The screen is fine. The colours are slightly saturated, but no yellow on white. Maybe a batch thing, not certain. If you want to buy one, get it from a store where you can easily return it if it does bot live up to your expectations.

Does it have an IPS panel? Whats the SRGB%?
@Tuxattack80943 жыл бұрын
It's IPS but the SRGB is only upper 50% it's good enough for office software, coding, and basic usage but not the best if you're into photo and video editing. I just got an e14 gen 1 with the 10th gen i7 for 699USD. Great deal for what it is in my opinion. RAM although on module so single channel is an actual DIMM slot and not soldered and there's room for a 2.5" SSD/HDD. I personally like this config better than soldered memory because memory tends to fail and is a lot cheaper than replacing a motherboard. However I believe Gen 2 on has onboard RAM with a user upgradeable DIMM with higher max RAM. I still like my gen 1 and it make a good secondary or on the fly computer when i'm not near my primary PC

Can we add extra SSD and RAM in E15 Gen2 thinkpad
@TomsTechVerdict3 жыл бұрын
I have never seen a Lenovo laptop with an extra m.2 nor SATA slots, but you can replace the drive with a bigger one (more gb) and create and extra partition for D drive, if D drive is what you are looking to achieve. As for RAM, it all comes s down to each model individually, depending on what the maximum gb capacity can the motherboard read. Usually, 16gb is a safe bet.
