The Bible is a two- fold lawbook. To believe in the heart, AND to put it into ACTION. Just because the verse says to fulfill it by the heart, that's just the beginning. One must express those ideas with ACTIONS!

The commandment to love one's neighbor as oneself is found in the Mosaic Law (Leviticus 19:18). Paul simply reiterated the commandment (Galatians 5:14). Moreover, how do we _know_ when something qualifies as loving one's neighbor? The Law tells us. If we didn't have the Law, we wouldn't have a standard by which to judge our actions. We wouldn't know what qualifies as loving one's neighbor if we didn't have the Law as a guidebook. We love our neighbor by _not_ taking vengeance against our brothers and sisters and by _not_ holding grudges against them as well.

@@JonathanGrandt As believers in Yeshua, we do walk in spirit; however, remember that Yeshua Himself kept the Law given to Moses by God - not the rabbinical laws that had been laid on top of the original. God expects His children to be obedient to what He has said.

Jesus came to fulfill all that Moses and the prophets had taught at that time and reconciled with God all sins before. At the same time, He became the cornerstone of the New Covenant with better conditions. The new covenant began in a clean state, as the Old Covenant Law came after the sins. 32 Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; Jeremiah 31: 28-34 Jesus did not come to end God's Covenant with Israel. On the contrary, Jesus sealed it strong. May God bless Israel!

The word abolish means to do away with. The word fulfilled means to make something a reality. How on GOD’s green Earth sooo many so called Christians (Followers of Christ) can say that Jesus “did away with the law” is beyond me when they acknowledge that he kept the entirety of the law and the next verse in this chapter he says “until heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle will by no means pass from the law until all is fulfilled.” Heaven and earth are obviously still here; and all is not fulfilled because there is prophecy being fulfilled as we speak. Therefore, the entirety of the Mosaic Law is still in effect. When he said he came to fulfill, he meant he came to do what the law and prophets said he would come to do. It’s sooo annoying that people are sooo brainwashed by the Catholicism that they don’t comprehend this!!!

I am brand new to this content. I've been a Christian for ~4 months now. I'm saying this so that you can know that I am asking these questions in order to learn, and not just to argue. I desperately want to understand this! Is there a difference between God's law and Mose's Law? Secondly, we have this scripture: Galatians 2:11-21
@Kingdom_Finance
@Kingdom_Finance 5 жыл бұрын
Justin Lipper HalleluYAH!!! Welcome to the family. Galatians is only saying that we’re not justified by the works of the law; but by faith in the blood of YAHSHUA HA’MASHIACH (commonly referred to as Jesus Christ). And no the Mosaic Law (Law of Moses) are the exact same thing. We only call it the law of Moses because Moses is who God revealed it to. The definition of sin is transgression of the law; and grace is not a license to sin. The Mosaic Law is the most righteous code of conduct known to man. The word Christian means Follower of Christ; and Christ kept the entirety of the Mosaic law; therefore, we must strive to keep the law. See Matthew 5:17-20. The love of God is to keep his commandments. The only thing we don’t do is animal sacrifices; because Christ represents the perfect lamb without blemish, capable of making atonement for sins. Hope this helps. Get in the word and stay strong. You cannot ignore the Old Testament. That’s where we get instructions directly from our Creator. The Messiah commanded us to be perfect like our Heavenly Father is perfect; how can we strive for perfection if we don’t know what it is?

@@Kingdom_Finance Thank you so much for your reply! I am learning a lot, but I know it's not even a spec of the iceberg. I agree with a lot of what you have said, however I think that I have more to learn on striving. I think that if we strive, then we are trying to do things by our own strength/power. I don't believe that striving is what we are called to do. Instead, like it says in Gal 2:11-21 it's not by our own efforts that we can achieve anything. In other words, it's not a transaction where we pay God something and then get salvation/grace/blessings in return. If it was, then we would have something to boast about Romans 4:2. I believe that the Old Testament shows us that we suck at doing things by ourselves, just like toddlers. BUT! Where I think I am/was initially wrong on this, is thinking that God has done away with the "old" Law AND I am not expected to follow it (this is still wrecking my brain (in a good way)). Instead I am thinking that we are supposed to be fueled and led by Grace and the Spirit, in order to fulfill the Law, like Jesus did (Eph 5:1-2)(not by our own strength!!! but by his, otherwise what is the point in him dying for us). Being transformed into something more and more perfect until the Love of God is perfected in us Rom 12:2, 1 John 4:17, Phil 1:6... with a sprinkle of 1 Cor 2:16 maybe. So question #2 (If you feel like it
@Kingdom_Finance
@Kingdom_Finance 5 жыл бұрын
Justin Lipper “Strive” means to make great efforts to achieve or obtain something; or, to struggle or fight vigorously for. Therefore we must make great efforts and fight vigorously to keep God’s law. As far as not thinking we’re not called to strive in causes of God, I say: “But seek first the Kingdom of God and His righteousness, and everything else will be added to you.” Matthew 5:33. In the Kingdom of God everyone submits to his Law, and the Righteousness of God is his Law; as the law is purely righteous. “Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, Nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; But his delight is the law of the Lord, And in his Law he meditates day and night. He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, Whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper.” Psalms 1:1-3. In order to answer your question regarding Galatians 5:14, you must first understand that Paul was actually quoting the Messiah in Matthew 22:37-40 (“Jesus said to him, ‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments hang all the Law and the Prophets.”) Both the Messiah and Paul were directly quoting Leviticus 18:19. Loving your neighbor as yourself is actually a commandment within the Mosaic Law; See Leviticus 18:19, and you can’t do that if you’re violating the Mosaic Law. For instance, the law tells me not to steal, not to murder, not to commit adultery with my neighbor’s wife, not to covet what my neighbor has, not to bear false witness against my neighbor, not to withhold the wages of a worker overnight, etc. Nobody wants those things done to them; so if we truly love our neighbors as we do ourselves, we won’t commit these sins against other people. And if we love God, we keep His commandments. In conclusion, YOU must focus on having God transform YOUR mind and heart to bring YOU to a place where YOUR actions are in line with God’s law; by studying and meditating on his Law. BTW Thank you. This is just as helpful to me as it is to you.

Lol. The mosaic law was never given to the gentile. The word fulfill means to finish. To accomplish. To complete. Perform. Carry through to the end. Who may ascend the hill of the Lord? Jesus. He fulfilled the law for us and in Him we have fulfilled the law. Through faith in and by His righteousness. Therefore we have clean hands and a pure heart in Him who is our priest who never dies and He is our sacrifice who lives and He is kept the law for us. It’s really great! Now you can keep believing that you need to keep the law. The whole law. All of it. Good luck 👍🏼

The topic is, can you be saved by keeping the law, and the answer is no, but the law is a schoolmaster to lead you unto Christ the savior of the world, the word that became flesh and dwell among Us, in whom the father is well pleased, and it pleases the father, when we keep the law, not because we have to, but because we want to, because we have received Jesus Christ as Lord and savior, who fulfilled the law, he is our example, an Born again Christians want to do everything we can to please the father, through Jesus Christ our Lord, glory to GOD, amen.

I think fullfil can explain why there is no more sacrifices and offerings. By keeping his name we too fulfill the law which by the way didn't come from God directly but was given through Angels. Once we fulfill the law we can now receive Grace and Truth which was what God gave us through Messiah Yeshua.

In Romans 3: 31, there is a question that is more or less similar to what we read in Matthew 5;17, and through the answer to the question, the grecious Holy Spirit gave me this understanding which I like to share with you. Romans 3:31 says "Do we then make void the law through faith? Certainly not! On the contrary, we establish the law". As I was reading through the whole chapter 3, and reached to this verse, a question came to my mind how could we establish the Law through faith in the Messiah? Then, imidiately another tought came to my mind which connects Genesis 2:16-17; Ezekiel 18:4; and Romans 6:23. From these I learned that beyond a shadow of a doubt, the breaking of even one single given law will put mankind in and under the power of death. In that I saw where the need for substitutional sacrifice came from, which led me to think all the way to what God has done to spare Adam and Eve, Isaac, the first born of the Hebrews in Egypt, and the anual sin and guilt offerings that used to be offered at the apointed days of the Lord! And finally to what is written in Galatians 4:4-5 " But when the fulness of the time has come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law, to redeem those that were under the law, that we might receive the adoption of sons. So, from the very first law of Genesis 2:16-17, to the last one (which is what is recorded in Romans 3:9- 10:4), all God's laws are either fully and continually obeyed or if and when one failed to do so, the just requirement of the law is either that person face the death judgment or must be atoned. Based on these and many other infallible Word of God, as it is written in 2 Corinthians 5:21, and Galatians 3:13, when the Messiah died to take away the sin of the world and rose again , He has fulfilled the just requirement of God's law! And we, by first admitting that we are siners who cannot do anything to save ourselves, but accepting God's forgiveness given through His Son, that means we established the law of "sin and death" by the law of the Spirit of Life which is possible only by the resurrection of Him who has died on our behalves to satisfy the requirement of the law .

The Greek word found in Strongs exhaustive concordance for the word fulfill is 4137. πληρόω plērŏō, play-rŏ´-o; from 4134; to make replete, i.e. (lit.) to cram (a net), level up (a hollow), or (fig.) to furnish (or imbue, diffuse, influence), satisfy, execute (an office), finish (a period or task), verify (or coincide with a prediction), etc.:-accomplish, × after, (be) complete, end, expire, fill (up), fulfil, (be, make) full (come), fully preach, perfect, supply. .Diffuse : 1 a : to pour out and permit or cause to spread freelyIn today’s English, we would not say let it spread freely. We would say fill it till it’s overflowing. It does not mean that it is fulfilled and no longer pertinent or applicable.

I used to be a dispensationalist (with some aspects of new covenant theology thrown into the mix). I used to think that Jesus abolished the Law by fulfilling it. However, the more I studied the Scripture, the more I began to realize that Jesus's fulfillment of the Law doesn't necessitate the Law's abolishment. In fact, the words "fulfill" and "abolish" are opposites! I don't know why mainstream Christians think "fulfill" and "abolish" are synonyms. Besides, if the Law has been abolished, that means God has _changed_ His standards of morality, but that would violate His attributes of immutability and changelessness.

Agree with most of this. My only disagreement is that Yes the law will one day be completed. Matthew 5:18 reads, "For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished" Revelation 21 John talks about a new heaven and a new earth and mentions that the first had passed away. So based on the fact that heaven and earth will one day disappear and a new one come in its wake, I would say that the Law will end with the passing of the first heaven and earth.

Jesus commanded his followers to follow his word and his commandments (John 14). The commandment of Christ is the commandment of love. Steve parks- I understand where you are coming from in those scriptures you brought up but also in those same scriptures for example in Romans 13 you mentioned is summed up in this saying Jesus said in Matthew 22:40 “On these two commandments the whole Law hangs, and the Prophets”.. meaning In these two commandments which as you mentioned is the law of Christ is saying that by following these 2 commandments the law is possible To walk in.. you able to follow the law if you follow these 2 commandments because with out love for our god and follow neighbor it is impossible to to follow his laws and decree.. as you know the law is to benefit not only ourselves but others as well.. and as mentioned in the scriptures he came to magnify the law to make it better where it affects even the heart and helps us to obey out of love not obligation.. there is much to say for both parts and I understand it is a difficult thing to comprehend .. I have done a lot of studying and research as I’m sure you have and many others but in my conclusion Christ did not do away with the law.. Paul was very difficult to comprehend but if we read the scriptures carefully we can come to an understanding that paul followed and taught to follow law in love with faith but also teaching that it’s on faith alone that you are saved but obedience is also required because that’s how we show that we love God.. the law is a light for our feet showing us in which way to walk.. Jesus saved us from the penalty of the law as we no longer get stoned and so on as that was just to show the severity of transgressing his law... but the Christ came to show us the love that comes from gods law and how to walk in hide Torah (instructions)I know this subject is to much to cover to just write down for I know there are many things you can write down in scripture and questions that will be asked .. just keep in mind this saying by Peter in 2peter 3:15 Furthermore, consider the patience of our Lord as salvation, just as our beloved brother Paul also wrote you according to the wisdom given him,t 16 speaking about these things as he does in all his letters. However, some things in them are hard to understand, and these things the ignorant* and unstable are twisting, as they do also the rest of the Scriptures, to their own destruction. 17 You, therefore, beloved ones, having this advance knowledge, be on your guard so that you may not be led astray with them by the error of the lawless people and fall from your own steadfastness. But in the conclusion of the matter is that I have given my opinion and thought and what the lord has put in my heart and mind.. may we always seek to find the truth and may the Lord our God Yahweh and our lord Jesus Christ be with you and anyone who seek him.. may you have a blessed life

Exodus 20:8-11 Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9 Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10 But the seventh day is the sabbath of the Lord thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11 For in six days the Lord made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the Lord blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it. Ezekiel 20:19-20 19 I am the Lord your God; walk in my statutes, and keep my judgments, and do them; 20 And hallow my sabbaths; and they shall be a sign between me and you, that ye may know that I am the Lord your God. 1 John 2:4 He that saith, I know him, and keepeth not his commandments, is a liar, and the truth is not in him.

And Jesus answering said unto him, Suffer it to be so now: for thus it becometh us to fulfill all righteousness. Then he suffered him. (Matt. 3:14, 15) Q. Did Jesus fulfill baptism? Yes He did. Hydrochloric acid and sodium hydroxide form water and salt when mixed. Take away the HCL or the NaOH and you can't get to the water and salt, under any circumstances. Jesus came to supply the missing ingredient, which we were doomed to keep missing. He came to add provision to our lack, His righteousness to our sinfulness. If we already had it, we wouldn't need Him. (Ecc. 1:15; John 5:45-46; John 9:39-41; Psalm 119:89; Mal. 3:6) Christ is the end of the law for righteousness to everyone who believes, not the non-existence of the law. Getting off the freeway does not mean the non-existence of the freeway.

Jesus gave us salvation by atoning for our sins. Obedience is not for salvation. Yes, the law shows us what sin is, but keeping the law doesn't say we are a sinner. Transgressing the law is when we sin. Jesus addressed the transgressions not the law itself. We keep the Torah for three reasons. 1) The Torah is unique to Adonai. No other god has the same commands. By keeping them we are acknowledging Him as God and ourselves as servants of that God. 2) Blessings and curses are granted based on obedience. (Deuteronomy 11:26-28) 3) Obedience is how we show our love for Him. (John 14:15)

The answer to Matthew 5:17 is found in Isaiah 42:21!!!! Isaiah said how Yeshua will "MAGNIFY (fulfil) the TORAH and make it honourable"!!!! Yeshua abolished the MAN MADE rabbinical law's that had YAHWEH'S people bound up and confused about what he actually said! The Pharisees built a fence around Gods Torah by adding to it, see Matthew 15:9! Yeshua's job was to destroy the fence of the Pharisaic law's so we can joyfully live by God's Torah alone, see Matthew 4:4! It bothers me that Christians got it all wrong.

This is so refreshing explanation of the Christian Convoluted way of understanding scripture😅 Deuteronomy 31:26 puts a clear distinction between Two Laws, one written by God (10 Commandments) and the LAW of Moses to do with Animal Sacrifices and Ordinances! The "Fulfill" confusion also arises from ignorance about the foundation of scripture, the Old testament! No one can expect to understand the New Testament without a solid understanding of the old testament or Torah! Christians don't seem to recognize Messiah in the old testament! Messiah did not come into existence in the New Testament! Before Abraham was, He said He was the "I AM." In Isaiah 42:21, it is written of what Messiah was to do, TO MAGNIFY THE LAW AND MAKE IT MORE HONOURABLE! So He fulfilled everything written by the prophets! He did NOT abolish the 10 Commandments! It's a lie from Hell!

Galatians 2:16 “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law, but by the faith of Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Jesus Christ, that we might be justified by the faith of Christ, and not by the works of the law: for by the works of the law shall no flesh be justified.” Romans 13:10 “Love worketh no ill to his neighbour: therefore love is the fulfilling of the law.” Matthew 5:17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. Consider the following. Matthew 22: 37-40 37 Jesus said unto him, Thou shalt love the Lord thy God with all thy heart, and with all thy soul, and with all thy mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like unto it, Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. 40 On these two commandments hang all the LAW and the prophets. Do you see? GODS Love and his Image is perfect in LAW. Adam was created in GODS Image of perfect (AGAPE LOVE). Adam lost the Image (AGAPE LOVE) and Christ came to FULFILL the LAW of perfect (Agape LOVE) to give it back to the fallen man of Adams seed. Jesus is perfect (AGAPE LOVE) as he was called the second Adam. The whole (Gene)sis was about genetic code of GODS IMAGE of LOVE. GODS gene code of LOVE. Christ said "Many are called; (converted: unsaved), but few are chosen; (regeneration: saved). This is the very reason the "Many" in Matthew 7 were rejected. 22: Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? and in thy name have cast out devils? and in thy name done many wonderful works? 23: And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work INIQUITY. See, these people standing in front of Jesus DID NOT have their genetic code regenerated with the original IMAGE of GOD. (LOVE) Again, Iniquity means: Lawlessness or without the LAW or without Agape Love. 1 John 3:1 Behold, what manner of (Agape) love the Father hath bestowed upon us, that we should be called the sons of God: therefore the world knoweth us not, because it knew him not.

John 19:27 Then saith he to the disciple, Behold thy mother! And from that hour that disciple took her unto his own home. 28 After this, Jesus knowing that all things were now accomplished, that the scripture might be fulfilled, saith, I thirst. 29 Now there was set a vessel full of vinegar: and they filled a spunge with vinegar, and put it upon hyssop, and put it to his mouth. 30 When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost. Jesus fulfilled the Law of Moses before He could take away the Law He wanted to fulfill it first Ephesians 2:11 Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; 12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: 13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. 14 For he is our peace, who hath made both one, and hath broken down the middle wall of partition between us; 15 Having abolished in his flesh the enmity, even the law of commandments contained in ordinances; for to make in himself of twain one new man, so making peace; 16 And that he might reconcile both unto God in one body by the cross, having slain the enmity thereby: {thereby: or, in himself} 17 And came and preached peace to you which were afar off, and to them that were nigh. 18 For through him we both have access by one Spirit unto the Father. Colossians 2: 11 In whom also ye are circumcised with the circumcision made without hands, in putting off the body of the sins of the flesh by the circumcision of Christ: 12 Buried with him in baptism, wherein also ye are risen with him through the faith of the operation of God, who hath raised him from the dead. 13 And you, being dead in your sins and the uncircumcision of your flesh, hath he quickened together with him, having forgiven you all trespasses; 14 Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to his cross; 15 And having spoiled principalities and powers, he made a shew of them openly, triumphing over them in it. {in it: or, in himself} 16 Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of an holyday, or of the new moon, or of the sabbath days: {in meat…: or, for eating and drinking} {respect: or, part} 17 Which are a shadow of things to come; but the body is of Christ. 18 Let no man beguile you of your reward in a voluntary humility and worshipping of angels, intruding into those things which he hath not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind, {beguile…: or, judge against you} {in a…: Gr. being a voluntary in humility} 19

Only if the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob is the God you serve. Jesus is that God in the form of the flesh of a man. The Torah is the law of that God. Nothing is removed from the law until ALL is accomplished. We will know all is accomplished when heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 5:18). The Torah has 613 commandments but you will realize that not all of them pertain to you. This is not because Jesus did away with anything. It's how the law was set up originally. The greatest commandments are Love God and Love your Neighbor. The ten commandments are in stone because they are universal and meant for everyone regardless of sex, lineage, age, status or profession. This is a starting point. Half of these support loving God and the other half support loving your neighbor. There are also laws meant only for men, women, husbands, wives, fathers, mothers, priests, soldiers, leadership, and those in business. As the Lord blesses you, He elevates your status and gives you authority over others. This authority comes with responsibility. As you are blessed more commands may pertain to you that did not previously. Those that do apply to you should be followed to the best of your ability. Some things can't be presently observed since there is no physical altar but that does not mean the commands regarding the altar have been removed. Those who tell you not to follow Torah are making the same mistake the children of Israel made. Their rejection of the Torah was a rejection of the God who gave it and was the cause of the exiles. Just remember salvation is by faith alone. Obedience is not how you are saved. Keep the Torah because: 1) The Torah is unique to Adonai. No other god has the same commands. By keeping it you are acknowledging Him as God and yourself as a servant of that God. 2) Blessings and curses are granted based on obedience. 3) Obedience is how we show our love for Him.

Romans 10:1 Brothers and sisters, my heart's desire and prayer to God on behalf of the Jewish people is that they would be saved. Romans 10:2 I can assure you that they are deeply devoted to God, but they are misguided. Romans 10:3 They don't understand how to receive God's approval. So they try to set up their own way to get it, and they have not accepted God's way for receiving his approval. Romans 10:4 Christ is the fulfillment of Moses' Teachings so that everyone who has faith may receive God's approval. Romans 10:5 Moses writes about receiving God's approval by following his laws. He says, "The person who obeys laws will live because of the laws he obeys." Romans 10:6 However, Scripture says about God's approval which is based on faith, "Don't ask yourself who will go up to heaven," (that is, to bring Christ down). Romans 10:7 "Don't ask who will go down into the depths," (that is, to bring Christ back from the dead). Romans 10:8 However, what else does it say? "This message is near you. It's in your mouth and in your heart." This is the message of faith that we spread. Romans 10:9 If you declare that Jesus is Lord, and believe that God brought him back to life, you will be saved. Romans 10:10 By believing you receive God's approval, and by declaring your faith you are saved. Romans 10:11 Scripture says, "Whoever believes in him will not be ashamed." Romans 10:12 There is no difference between Jews and Greeks. They all have the same Lord, who gives his riches to everyone who calls on him. Romans 10:13 So then, "Whoever calls on the name of the Lord will be saved."

@@drcrunch9561 Yes we are saved by faith and not works. Obedience is not what saves us, but it still has a role to play in our lives. Romans 6:1-2 1 What shall we say then? Shall we continue in sin, that grace may abound? 2 God forbid. How shall we, that are dead to sin, live any longer therein? (Having grace is not an excuse to continue sinning.) 1 John 3:3-8 3 And every man that hath this hope in him purifieth himself, even as he is pure. 4 Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law. 5 And ye know that he was manifested to take away our sins; and in him is no sin. 6 Whosoever abideth in him sinneth not: whosoever sinneth hath not seen him, neither known him. 7 Little children, let no man deceive you: he that doeth righteousness is righteous, even as he is righteous. 8 He that committeth sin is of the devil; for the devil sinneth from the beginning. Verse 6 is a big deal. If you abide in Him then stop sinning. If you continue in your sin then you don't know Him. Where have we heard that before? Matthew 7:21-23 23 And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you: depart from me, ye that work iniquity. That's the problem. The law is what shows us what sin is. When you start removing parts of the law it becomes difficult to identify sin. The lines become blurred and that is the core of our discussion. Trust in Jesus for what He did, not what He didn't do. He took the punishment of our sins upon Himself. He did not remove the law making no sin possible (you can't transgress a law that doesn't exist). Nothing is removed from the law until ALL is accomplished. We will know all is accomplished when heaven and earth pass away (Matthew 5:18)

Fulfill the law of righteousness, there is only one who is righteous, Jesus, he never sinned, he fulfilled this when on Earth, so are the 10 commandments been fulfilled, do not sin in the days of Moses, now fulfill the law as Jesus complete perfect did, DON'T EVEN THINK ABOUT SIN, if you think about sinning then you have sinned all ready, when you fulfill the law, you are righteous No sin, Grace abounds for we can never be Righteous as humans, but we can ask for forgiveness, Moses law Love thy Mother & Father, Fulfill the law love your neighbour and your enemy, for Love abounds and Love is the greatest of all laws. Jesus Fulfilled the 10 commandments, to a higher level that of Righteousness, as Jesus did, sin less, we aim to fulfill the law 10C to perfection like Jesus. Not until we at the final judgement and in heaven, will we be Righteous, having fulfilled the law of sinless being.

I think ill be thr Only one who disagree with this teaching. The Fulfillment of the Law is the End of the Law, not Filling it to the highest. There is different between Commandment and Laws(of Moses). The Law makes human remember he is a sinner and Christ came to End the Law for The world. The End of The Law ,makes God put his Own Law into our hearts. Meanwhile the Sum purpose of the Law is The Bring Love out of Humans but the Law was unable to do that because the law Contain both God and Bad(stoning of a woman is bad regardless of her offencse). So Christ came to bring The Good things into our Heart through Love. So the Good part of the Law will surely appears that doesn't make the beliver a follower of Law

Matthew 5:17-18 KJV 17Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil. 18For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled. There are two ways He fulfilled the law. First Yeshua was sinless because He fulfilled every requirement of the law. He had to be spotless or He could not be the sacrifice that atones for our sin. Second refers to the moedim (appointed times) laid out in Leviticus 23. Sabbath = Creation (fulfilled) Passover = Yeshua's death (fulfilled) Unleavened Bread = Yeshua's burial (fulfilled) First Fruits = Yeshua's resurrection (fulfilled) Weeks (Pentecost) = Holy Spirit poured out on believers (fulfilled) Trumpets = Second coming / resurrection of the saints (NOT fulfilled) Atonement = Day of the Lord's Wrath (NOT fulfilled) Tabernacles = Ingathering of believers to start millennial reign / this also rejoins Israel and Judah together as one nation (NOT fulfilled) The moedim is both historical remembrance of Yahweh's interaction with Israel and prophetic events to be performed by the messiah. These commands announce the God that gave them and keeping them directs us back to Him. Heaven and earth are still here because not everything has been fulfilled. We are still waiting for the fulfillment of the Fall feasts. As long as heaven and earth are still here, no command or teaching has been removed from the law. The Torah is still in full effect. Christians do not understand this because they do not observe the moedim.

That is why the man gathering sticks was stoned. (Numbers 15:32-36) If you could have no fire burning then the altar would have to be shut down every Sabbath and the priests trying to keep it going would have to be stoned. Have the fire already burning and the wood gathered the day before and you are fine. Just like gathering a double portion of food on the day before so you are not gathering on the Sabbath. Yes, Pharisees added to the law. Modern Judaism is the Pharisee of today. They are the ones who expanded the law to mean all lamps and everything we have with electricity. This will make it clear. To render something obsolete is not the same as abolishing it. Don’t conflate these things! Matthew 5:17 Abolish and Fulfill. Abolish: Greek Katalyo. To dissolve, overthrow, disregard, cast down, throw away. Fulfill: Greek Pleroo. To make full. Fill up. To make complete. To carry through to the end. To accomplish. Ie: it is finished 😉 Ephesians 2:15 Abolished the law Abolished: Greek Katargeo. To render idle. Inactivate. Inoperable. To deprive of force, influence or power. To cease, pass away. Be done away with. To terminate. Jesus did not come to cast aside the law, but He came to be the champion of it. In doing so He made it obsolete. We live by the Spirit. It is finished. He CAME to fulfill the LAW. IF He had abolished it before fulfilling it He would not have been able to accomplish the fulfilling of it! In fulfilling it He has canceled it. For those who haven't received Christ's work on the Cross, they haven't received His Blood sacrifice. So, if they want to be right with God by the Law (which they can't), they not only have to sacrifice twice a day, plus peace-offerings, sin-offerings, Levitical commands, social justice laws, dietary laws, ritual cleanliness laws, et. al. Jesus fulfilled them. If we try to keep the laws He fulfilled as our modus operandi - as though it makes us right - we're casting aside the work of Christ. But if you're building a new house, for example, the Spirit of Christ in you will tell you, "Put a rail around the rooftop patio." (Deut. 22:8) That's not walking by the Law; it's walking by the Spirit, in which you will automatically and sometimes even unknowingly fulfill precepts of the Old Testament Law.

The glass analogy is a TERRIBLE analogy. That's just a straw man you built for that pastor and then destroyed. Fulfill doen't ONLY mean, "to make fuller." fulfil (fulˈfil) verb - past tense, past participle fulˈfilled - 1. to carry out or perform (a task, promise etc). He always fulfils his promises. 2. to satisfy (requirements). He fulfilled all the requirements for the job. fulˈfilled adjective (of a person) satisfied, having achieved everything he or she needs to have and to do. With her family and her career, she is a very fulfilled person. If someone fulfills the obligations on your mortgage for you by paying your mortgage, your mortgage is done away with. It's not abolished in the sense of being destroyed. But it's FULFILLED. You're no longer under the obligations of that mortgage or debt. If you went to the Bank and tried to follow the requirements of your mortgage, you'd be told you were no longer under it. THAT'S in what sense the Law of Moses has been fulfilled.

You cannot compare the law of God to a mortgage from a bank. That is just like comparing apples and oranges. A mortgage is something that quantitatively can be fulfilled. The law of God is not quantitatively fulfilled but rather a quality and lifestyle of obedience. That cannot be transferred to another person. He took away our death by becoming a curse for us so the law cannot curse us with death. And at the same time he also showed us that it is possible to obey Yahweh and what it looks like. Jesus said that the Law would not pass away until all was fulfilled. On the Cross He said, "It is finished". He completed the Law without breaking it. It was fulfilled in Jesus Christ. Now, when one of us enters Christ, we enter a fulfilled Law - no more condemnation. No more guilt for not being able to keep the commandments of the Law. The "full glass of water" is always in effect within Christ. When we enter Christ, we become part of Him, and we are one with Him, Who fulfilled the Law. We enter a state of the Law fulfilled, as long as we remain in Christ. Colossians 2:14 "Blotting out the handwriting of ordinances (certificate of debt) that was against us, which was contrary to us, and took it out of the way, nailing it to His Cross;" - read verses 6 & 7, and 11-16. If we were supposed to keep the Law, then that would mean Paul wrote lies. He states in verse 16 to let no man judge you in respect to food, drink, Sabbath days, other holy days. He's NOT saying keep those - that would not fit with verse 14. Neither would that fit with Peter's vision of the unclean animals being now CLEAN to eat. If Peter was shown that he was to now eat what used to be forbidden by the Law, then how is that Law still in effect? Col. 2:17 says that all of those things are but a shadow of things to come, but the body, (the substance, the fulfillment of these things, the embodiment) is of Christ. Col. 3:1 - seek those things which are above. Focusing on the Law will keep your attention bound on earthly rules, and not on the risen Saviour and His will for your life. Col. 2:20 "Wherefore if ye be dead WITH CHRIST from the rudiments (basic principles) of the world, why, as though living in the world, are ye subject to ordinances (rules), 21 (Touch not; taste not; handle not; 22 Which all are to perish with the using;) after the commandments and doctrines of men?" If you are in Christ, why are you following a rulebook? Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law of the Old Covenant, nailed it to His Cross, shed His Blood, died, rose again, and established a New Covenant by His Blood and through His Holy Spirit. In this New Covenant we walk in a relationship with Him by faith and grace, whereby we hear His leading within us, and obey what He directs us to do. We do not follow a rulebook. The Holy Spirit guides us as to what we are to do, when we are to do it, and how we are to do it. The Law is not abolished, neither is it a glass of water that may be removed. The Law is now fulfilled in Christ, and we drink from that glass continually, not by following rules, but by following His leading every day (ie. following Him). In your relationship with Christ, if you truly have a question as to His will for you, it is a matter of fasting and praying and seeking His Face for understanding. He gives wisdom liberally, and doesn't upbraid those who come to Him for it. If you do not hear His voice, then you are not in Christ and have no way to sort out truth from lie. "My sheep hear My voice." So if you still question whether or not you should observe the Law, you should be able to get a clear answer from Jesus Himself, if you are one of His. I suggest fasting and praying until you get your answers from Him, as Jesus is the Truth, and the Holy Spirit leads us into all truth.

You are wrong about Acts 10:15 and Colossians 2:16 with respect to being allowed to eat unclean animals. The intent of Acts 10 is to get Peter to follow scripture rather than to follow the man-made traditions of the Pharisees. Scripture does not forbid a Jew from coming in contact with a gentile. Instead it instructs that the law also applies equally to a non-Jew in the city. It was the Pharisees who come up with the false tradition that they were not to contact gentiles. When it comes to animals to eat, scripture says clean or unclean, nothing else. But the Pharisees created a third category, (defiled or common), to define when a live clean animal comes in contact with a live unclean animal, that it becomes (defiled or common) and is no longer fit to eat. This is not in scripture. The closest statement in scripture is when the meat of a clean animal comes in contact with the meat of an unclean animal (eg: frying a beef burger in bacon fat), then the clean meat becomes unclean. When the sheet was lowered, it contained animals that were either clean (sheep and cows) or unclean (pigs and snakes), which according to scripture Peter could have eaten the clean animals. But according to the traditions of the Pharisees the sheet contained common (clean animals that came in contact with an unclean animal) and unclean animals, neither of which could be eaten. So Peter said that he had never eaten anything common or unclean. In verse 10:15 the Voice responded "What God has made clean, do not call common". Look Peter, do not listen to the Pharisees with their false tradition of "common" animals , follow scripture instead and pick a clean animal and eat it. And do not listen to the Pharisees about their false tradition to not contact a gentile. Note that verse 10:15 speaks only about clean and common animals. It does not even mention unclean animals, so how can this verse say that it is now ok to eat unclean animals. Colossians 2:14 is referring to the written record of our transgressions that are recorded in the Books of Judgement that will be opened at our final judgement as per Revelation 20:12. By dying in our place, He forgave our sins, blotting out the written record, effectively leaving blank pages in our chapter in the Book of Judgement. Colossians 2:14 does not say that the law was nailed to the cross. Regardless of how we interpret 2:14, Colossians 2:16 does not say it is ok to eat unclean animals. This verse is identical to Leviticus 23:37 which is referring to the feast days, animal sacrifices, burnt offering, meat offering, and drink offering. The reference to "meat" in 2:16 is in reference to the "meat offering" in Leviticus 23:37 and not to the meat that is in the dietary laws. Colossians 2:20 is referring to 2:22 which is about the false "traditions of man", not about the commandments of God.

"Jesus Christ fulfilled the Law of the Old Covenant, nailed it to His Cross," Wrong. The "χειρόγραφον" was nailed to the cross, not the Torah. "χειρόγραφον" is not TORAH! Torah is "νόμος" in Greek, not "χειρόγραφον". Thus, you are WRONG about Col. 2. "Focusing on the Law will keep your attention bound on earthly rules" WRONG. TORAH is SPIRITUAL (Rom.7:14), and you SHOULD be spiritual. "let no man judge you in respect to food, drink, Sabbath days, other holy days." That means DON'T JUDGE Christians for observing (as they should!) the Sabbath and other Torah laws! After all, Paul COMMANDS holy days (e.g., 1Cor.5:7-8)...that's not optional! Peter REQUIRES Lev. 11 (1Pe.1:16)...that's not optional! " If Peter was shown that he was to now eat what used to be forbidden by the Law" The vision was SYMBOLIC, silly! "I should not call any MAN unholy or unclean" (Ac. 10:28). It's about the DUDE, not the FOOD. "He's NOT saying keep those" Sure he is! 2Ti.3:16. 1Cor.7:19. Gal. 3:11 citing Hab. 2:4 entailing TORAH (given Ps.119:30,86,138). Rom.10:8 citing Dt. 30:14 entailing TORAH. ""The Law is not abolished" Then OBEY IT! (Mt.5:19;1Jn.5:3;2Ti.3:16;Mt.4:4;Mt.23:2-3,23,34). "We do not follow a rulebook." Gonna tell that to Jesus' face? (Mt.5:19) ALL TORAH passes into the NEW Covenant (Jer.31:33;Heb.8:10;10:16). "The Holy Spirit guides us" Then OPPOSE the flesh (Rom.8:13) which disobeys Torah (Rom.8:7). OBEY the Spirit who testifies we OBEY TORAH (Heb.10:15-16). FOLLOW the Spirit who leads us to obey ALL TORAH ORDINANCES (Eze.36:27) "from now and forever" (Is.59:20-21). " you should be able to get a clear answer from Jesus Himself" Good point! MATTHEW 5:19!!!

So you are saying Jesus removed the ceremonial law but kept the moral law intact? There are 2 problems with that. First, the phrases "moral law" and "ceremonial law" do not appear in the Bible. These are man-made phrases. There is just the law. Man made the separation but God didn't. Second is Deuteronomy 4:2. 2Ye shall not add unto the word which I command you, neither shall ye diminish ought from it, that ye may keep the commandments of the LORD your God which I command you. Jesus is God and so He has the authority to remove the law entirely and has alluded to doing this after ALL things are accomplished. We will know this has happened when heaven and earth pass away. If Jesus only removes part of the law then He is in violation of His command in Deuteronomy 4:2. That violation would be a sin and if He sinned then He can't be our atonement for sin.

@@apextheking2602 Not at all. There are two parts of fulfillment. On a personal level Christ kept the law perfectly by fulfilling every requirement of the law. In doing this He had no sin and could be the perfect atonement for our sin. This I agree with but this was not the complete fulfillment He talked about in Mathew 5:17-18. If it was then heaven and earth would have already passed away. The second part of fulfillment was with the Messianic prophesies of Leviticus chapter 23. The appointed times of the Lord. He did fulfill the spring feasts of Passover (His death), Unleavened bread (burial), First Fruits (resurrection), and Weeks (pouring out of His spirit on believers). He has not fulfilled the fall feasts yet. Trumpets (second coming), Atonement (day of wrath for unbelievers-believers had their atonement at Passover), and Tabernacles (feast of ingathering of believers to start millennial reign). Since not all of the feasts have been fulfilled (as in brought to life through the Messiah), then not all is accomplished. That is why heaven and earth have not passed away yet. @@brentfenske2948 Interesting theory but again it's a half truth. If, the law of Moses has the same relationship today, in terms of its binding status, then it was not fulfilled, and Christ failed at what He came to do. On the other hand, if the Lord did accomplish His goal, then the law was fulfilled, and it is not binding at all today. Further, if the law of Moses was not fulfilled by Christ-and remains as a binding system for today-then it is not just partially binding. Christ plainly said that not one “jot or tittle” (representative of the smallest markings of the Hebrew script) would pass away until all was fulfilled. Consequently, nothing of the law was to fail until it had completely accomplished its purpose. HE fulfilled the law. All of the law. You can't say that Christ fulfilled only one part of the Law, but did not fulfill the other aspects of the law. HE either fulfilled all of the law, or none of it. What Jesus' death means for the sacrificial system, it also means for the other aspects of the law. The Moral Laws are the Laws We Follow. When it comes to anything concerning the law pertaining to clean foods, animal sacrifice, and ordinance services, because we now have a High Priest forever who fulfilled all those requirements. However every human that has ever been born will be judged of their SIN. If we were not under that Moral Law, then there would be no difference between believers and unbelievers and devils. Further "Till Heaven and Earth Pass" Christ teaches that the laws statutes and commandments was to stand until Heaven and Earth pass but I don't think you even know what that means. The Lord does not say that the Law will then pass away. He says, not till then; i.e. he affirms, as in Luke 16:17, that it is easier for heaven and earth to pass away than for the Law. Luke 16:17 (KJV) 17 And it is easier for heaven and earth to pass, than one tittle of the law to fail.

Does every civil law nation have its own civil law that the subject citizens are expected to obey as corporate members of the body politic? I've never understood why Christians believe the civil law of YHWH's body politic (the Torah) would be abolished or annulled for His corporate body politic, His Kingdom, His nation? What law do Christians think will be the "law of the land" during the Millennial reign of Messiah on earth? US civil law? Chinese civil law? Russian civil law? UK civil law? The only form of law that is going to be abolished and annulled is man's civil laws sinful man makes in his rebellion to YHWH, so all civil law for all civil nations on earth currently under Satan's dominion, will be abolished and annulled when Messiah returns. Only the Torah will be the law on earth from that moment forward, forever. When did YHWH change His commands to suddenly making it lawful under His Torah for man to contract and consent with other "gods" (EL, theos, might authorities, sovereign powers, law makers, ruling judges) on earth? To put other gods before, in front of, instead of, in place of, YHWH? When did YHWH ever tell the Israelites to forget His Law and form of government and go consent to be a citizen of the (pagan: civilians) civil law nations surrounding them? I can't find those new commandments (mitzvot) anywhere in the Scriptures. But I can find all sorts of warnings of the horrible consequences that will happen if the people freely choose to do that (expatriate the Kingdom of YHWH and His nation Israel to become a naturalized pagan of a foreign and alien god: ruling power over a foreign, pagan civil law nation), or if the people freely choose to reject YHWH's law and go set up their own form of civil law government, write their own constitutions, create their own mighty power(s), law maker(s), and ruling judge(s), create their own "gods" for themselves.

@@JasperRuffinI think it’s best that you rip out your Old Testament then. Not trying to sound rude, but I think that’s the best course of action considering you hold Paul’s words highly. I’ve done something similar, except I did the opposite - I ripped out the New Testament and kept the Hebrew Bible.

Jesus came to fulfill the law and the prophets to he could bring forth the new covenant. Now he has died to the law. and when we are born again in Christ we are changed in heart. You have to get rid of the old before you bring in the new. Just like in a car you wouldn't want to put an old piece that doesn't work you want something that works. Therefore the old piece is abolished. The old covenant didn't work.

1) Are you saying that when he commanded to not even think that he came to abolish the law that what he meant was that he came to abolish the law? 2) Are you saying humanity cannot be under multiple covenants at the same time?

Most of the time people want to abolish and blender and say that is not what it means. Anyone know when you are sent on a job to do something and you fix whatever is wrong is fulfilled, and you give them a bill. Jesus paid the bill. He abolish what you owe. Now he brought forth the new covenant in his blood . God said it would not be the same covenant. Some wants to say it the same one. In hebrews 10 says the having a shadow of good things to come... he takes away the first and brings forth the second. We are not under 2 covenants.

Falling asleep. I'm just offering perspective, still not arguing, don't have a negative opinion of your comments. If he gave the condition that not one jot nor tittle can be removed from the law and specified anyone who breaks any of it and teaches others, no matter who the person is teaching against it, I guess, will be called least in the kingdom , then I can only calculate that is a bad thing and that anything in the Bible that looks like it says it is okay to change any of the law, before the condition that earth has to pass away, needs to be looked at with a different perspective(s) until it logical fits with what Y'shua taught or instructed to his followers. Going by your for instance, debt is paid for fixing something broken caused by choices, so I think we should reduce the bad choices that caused or cause more breakage/ debt payment. Going by the covenant's framework, after those days caught my eye for some of the conditions. We are under multiple covenants -Genesis 9:13 is one of them.

This was before he died. At that time they were not born again. It was after his death they were born again. He was still under the law. He was telling anyone if they told people to break the commandments they would be called the least at time. Now that we are under the new covenant no one better or worse for we all one in Christ Jesus.

Before I reply to this the way I think I was going to, I will ask for another perspective and may delete this question after your clarification. If a person read the following verses and asked why it looks like the law is everlasting and unchangeable what verse(s) would you want them to factor in to become comfortable with omitting, disregarding, or changing God's commands? Acts 10:14 "Surely not, Lord!" Peter replied. "I have never eaten anything impure or unclean." "Psalm 119:142 Your righteousness is everlasting and your law is true , Ecclesiastes 12:13 Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man, Rev 12 And the dragon was wroth with the woman, and went to make war with the remnant of her seed, which keep the commandments of God, and have the testimony of Jesus"

The point about Jesus fulfilling the Mosaic Law is not that we should be against the Law (abolish) but that Jesus fulfilled the requirements of the Law on our behalf so that salvation is now accomplished. It is therefore unnecessary to try and fulfill the requirements of the Law. I would prefer an exam example to glass. Jesus wrote the exam for us and got perfect marks so it is now unnecessary for us to and write it for ourselves. Not only unnecessary but impossible. Even someone as virtuous as you probably are is failing to fulfill the Law. In fact you are not even trying. There are literally hundreds of laws in the Mosaic code that you are not fulfilling. In fact for 2000 years no-one has followed the Law. God rendered it impossible when He tore the curtain to the Most Holy Place and then when Jerusalem was destroyed in AD 70 it was impossible. If you do a word study on the word fulfill as used in Matthew you will see that it was used in a different way than you are describing it. Jesus fulfilled all the prophecies and fulfilled all the requirements to be our eternal sacrifice thus fulfilling the Mosaic Law and therefore making it unnecessary and obsolete. Unless you are suggesting that we should make blood sacrifices in Jerusalem Jesus has fulfilled the Law. And if your concern is morality the morals of the Mosaic Law were actually quite superficial e.g. don't murder, don't steal, don't commit adultery. But in the New Covenant we can by the power of the Spirit love our enemies, be generous, and live our wives as ourselves. An upgrade for sure.

This dude doesn’t even understand the Christian argument. We don’t think “fulfill” means to be done away with or removed. Once it’s been fulfilled, it isn’t needed anymore. It’s complete. You can’t divorce Jesus’ teaching from that of the Apostle Paul, who was clear that the Mosaic Law is deficient and is passed away. Know your New Testaments, people.

@@richardrichard5319 Jesus did not do away with the Mosaic Law. He did not abolish it. He obeyed it perfectly (which no one else is capable of doing). This perfect obedience made Him worthy to be the Lamb of God to take away the sin of the world. He fulfilled the perfect righteousness that the Mosaic Law required. That’s what I meant. He did not abolish the Law. He fulfilled its righteous requirements and became the perfect and spotless Lamb of God.

For all who rely on works of the law are under a curse; for it is written, “Cursed be everyone who does not abide by all things written in the Book of the Law, and do them.” Now it is evident that no one is justified before God by the law, for “The righteous shall live by faith.” But the law is not of faith, rather “The one who does them shall live by them.” Christ redeemed us from the curse of the law by becoming a curse for us-for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who is hanged on a tree”- so that in Christ Jesus the blessing of Abraham might come to the Gentiles, so that we might receive the promised Spirit through faith. -Galatians 3:10-14 ESV

Jesus as Christ, is the Son of God. Jesus was a Jew, for he fulfilled the prophecies. As May. 5:17 states: he didn’t come to destroy but to fulfil the Jewish prophecies and add on, renew, the promises God gave his people. Only a Jew could fulfil these prophecies. Jesus died for our sins so we could have eternal life in Paradise.

I am sorry to inform you that your explanation can not reflect the very intent of Yahshua 's heart .The words,"Abolish" and "fulfill" here are used antagonistic/opposite to each other.I say this because the author uses here the expression, " not to.....but to ......"which means not the first action/work but the second action/work.This clearly implies that both the words ,"Abolish" and "fulfil" Do not mean the same thing. So you can not extrapolate the word "fulfil" to mean "complete or done away with",then point this meaning to be the meaning of "Abolish ". Hope you understood this.Shalom..

This is a good teaching but when you look at the ancient Jewish writings, they have a set definition of what "abolish the Torah" and "fulfill the Torah" means. It is very simple idiom, to "abolish the Torah" means to give an improper interpretation of the Torah or teach falsely about it and to "fulfill the Torah" means to give a proper interpretation of the Torah and teach truth about it. It really is that easy. Yeshua, is basically saying, do not think I came to teach falsely about the Torah, I came to teach you what the truth of Torah is all about. I would give the ancient Jewish references to this but my books are in boxes as we are preparing to move.

[6:51] And preach with this (Quran) to those who reverence the summoning before their Lord-they have none beside Him as a Lord and Master, nor an intercessor-that they may attain salvation. [6:52] And do not dismiss those who implore their Lord day and night, devoting themselves to Him alone. You are not responsible for their reckoning, nor are they responsible for your reckoning. If you dismiss them, you will be a transgressor. [6:53] We thus test the people by each other, to let them say (mockingly), "Are these the people among us who are blessed by GOD?" Is GOD not aware of the appreciative ones?

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, for many false prophets have gone out into the world. By this you know the Spirit of God: every spirit that confesses that Jesus Christ has come in the flesh is from God, and every spirit that does not confess Jesus is not from God. This is the spirit of the antichrist, which you heard was coming and now is in the world already. Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world. -1 John 4:1-4 ESV

God told Jeremiah in 31:31 that it would be not according to covenant he gave to their fathers. The Jew didn't believe that Jesus was their Messiah. it would sound that he would write the torah on heart , but in 31 it would not same one he gave in past to to their fathers. look at Romans 7 about the law of marriage 7 Paul is talking about principles that God held for Israel. 7:1-4. applies to the jewish law of marriage in Duet 24. That why Jesus had to die the carnal ordinance of the flesh because they were no good in making the flesh perfect. The guy in the video knows the law him being Jewish about these feast and other things god fulfilled in Christ. He know everything was prophesied that old covenant was fulfilled in Christ and that old feast day would would come to end. The Jews would not accept him as their Messiah . Although is the covenant is for the Jews to he has let gentiles come in. We are not under the Torah and making animal sacrifices. God doesn't like them he said he ignore them. Hosea was 2;11-12 was the same thing. Amos 5 Jesus cause the oblation to cease and also he was cut off. Look at Daniel 9;25-27. The Jews didn't want him. He would have think that we are still under the old covenant even though Christ fulfilled by dying to be free from old marriage covenant. He knows that once a person is dies that he free from the whatever agreement was before. Jesus at that time didn't take it away because he had to fulfill it. The Pharisees were control of worship at the time. so he had to show them a thing or two

He still didn't take it away. If we're driving on a freeway and then exit it, we've finished our dealings with it, but it doesn't make the freeway not exist. The born-again believer can decree Proverbs 6:30-31 with the same authority invested as in Romans 8:28. God hasn't changed (Mal. 3:6).

When you go buy a cake and you take it home it will gone abolished no time. Same way with old covenant . God said that he would make a new covenant Not like the one He gave to their fathers, which they brake. Jesius died to law on the cross. We are not under the laws of sin and death of the curse of the law. The law brought death not life. Look at Exodus 31. They were to be put to death is they didn't keep it.

Just talking, not arguing. If the Bible defines sin in 1 John 3:4 as transgression of the law wouldn't it be accurate to live by the law whether the death debt is paid? Is it not logical to take from Romans 7:7 and James 2:9 that the law is still in effect as a reference for right and wrong for any Israelite whether born or grafted in to the nation?

Yes the moral law is still effect. The ceremonial laws were taken away of what kind of material you wore, what you ate, how you sacrificed, what you sacrificed. Everything was monitored. The days you kept was part of the covenant under the Levite laws. It was part of the passover feasts. When I was growing up we went to Pentecostal church and they tried inforce a lot old laws that were under the old covenant. The preacher wasn't that very well educated and tried to be a bit of pharisee at heart. He was sinsere in what he believed thinking that would earn his salvation, but later on it went against him because he was so strick on himself. He didn't really understand a lot of the bible especially where it said that the flesh doesn't get along with spirit. Now all of that is past. Jesus paid our debt in full. yes the moral laws are still in effect. In fact that is what is written our hearts, not the ceremonial laws of dress and days, how we eat. That is why God said it would be different covenant not like the he gave to their fathers. Jeremiah 31:31-34. We wouldn't have to do sacrifice or keep Sabbath days or eat like it certain foods would make us defiled or be sinful, as some people still think.

Most of the Jews still think the old laws are still in tact. My dad was part Jew on my grandmother's side. His great granddad was Jew. We just found recently. My nephew found a picture of him and they could be twins. My dad was all the time reading things of the old testament even though he was a christain. He though he gotten away from God and went to church and was rebaptised. He came home and said "i got remarried tonight." He didn't know all he had to was to repent of what he had done and it would be ok. I guess he did it for concience sake.

What if someone does not think the conditions have not been met in order to abolish some of the laws according to the instructions laid out by the Son in Mathew 5 where it says "until heaven and earth pass away, not a single jot, not a stroke of a pen, will disappear from the Law" because earth has not passed or disappeared yet? What chapter and verse would you point them to that says some or all of the laws are changed?
@shellyblanchard5788
@shellyblanchard5788 6 жыл бұрын
It is because they don't want to believe the laws hasn't passed away yet. Jesus changed some the law in Matthew 5. Like when he said you heard it said of old , but I say this. Jesus is not saying that heaven and earth has to pass away first. That is where some want to leave out part of what he said so they can keep the law of sacrifice and Sabbaths. Jesus fulfilled these. He fulfilled the law and prophets. He talks about in Luke 24. What he is saying as long heaven and earth is here nothing will change in law till he fulfills it. That is what the till means. Just like if you were make out a will and you want to change it , nothing will until you change it. if you read Matthew 5:18 till all be fulfilled , taling about the law and prophets, It was written that he was to suffer and die. Most want to leave out the last part so they can still keep the Sabbath days. matthew 11:28-29 He said to come to him for rest. thus fulfilling the Sabbath. Luke 22 the new testament is in his blood, not renewed of the old covenant but different Jeremiah 31:31-34.

This VIPER believe the word ABOLISH is an antonym (opposite in meaning) to the word FULFILL. This VIPER believe the word FULFILL means to "TO FULL IT UP FULL to make more powerful". What a LIAR; a FALSE teacher WITH the viper tongue, exactly like how YeSHuA (Jesus) refer to them. What a shame to him, for I learnt the meaning of these words in kindergarten. When I was 3 years old; My father said; Eating your food and drinking your porridge WILL ("FUTURE PROPHECY") make you better. My mother say later; Go and FULFILL your father's WORDS. So I FULFILL my father words, by eating and drinking that which was PREPARED FOR ME. YeSHuA (Jesus) came and did EXACTLY THE SAME CONCERNING HIS FATHER'S WORDS. The OLD TESTAMENT/COVENANT is the FATHER'S WORDS, and YeSHuA (Jesus) became the NEW CONENANT/TESTAMENT by ""FULFILLING"" his father WORDS. This NEW COVENANT is indeed better, exactly like my FATHER SAY IN HIS WORDS. (The bible) Yeshuah FULFILL by DOING every WORD in the OLD TESTAMENT concerning him (for all mankind). - - - Beware the viper's tongue: Yeshua say as follows; Mat_3:7 But when he saw many of the Pharisees and Sadducees come to his baptism, he said unto them, O generation of vipers, who hath warned you to flee from the wrath to come? Mat_12:34 O generation of vipers, how can ye, being evil, speak good things? for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh. Mat_23:33 Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell? - - - if YOU HAVE understanding, UNDERSTAND! -- -- -- Yeshua say as follows; Luk_24:44 And he said unto them, These are the words which I spake unto you, while I was yet with you, that """"==>all things must be fulfilled, which were written in the law of Moses, and in the prophets, and in the psalms, concerning me (YeSHuA). - Yes; Yeshua did it FOR ME. I did not and cannot do it. So please do not teach anyone that they have to do these words too? The OLD ToRaH is different from the NEW ToRaH. I am in the NEW ToRaH and is baptised in THE SPIRIT of TRUTH. Holy! Holy! is TRUTH. For ALL Elohim Laws will be in YESHUA; and I in him.

YeSHuA the Messiah came to fulfill ALL ALL the LAWS (Torah) for ALL Mankind. All the TORAH is NOW in YESHUA. YeSHuA is NOW THE ""NEW CONENANT"". So I follow the NEW COVENANT which is LIFE. I do not follow the "old testament" (OLD COVENANT) which require animal sacrifices (DEATH) as part of the TORAH. Because ==>YeSHUA became that "OLD TORAH" Sacrifice to save mankind from their sins. YES; YeSHuA is the NEW COVENANT ==>To LIFEOF DEATH THE True KNOWLEDGE" and "THE True UNDERSTANDING" of YeSHuA (TRUTH -THE WORD OF ELOHIM). THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH cannot dwell in "any House containing any Lies". Your Choice:
