So we have seen all forms of magic in the lore utilized in every shape or form. Some seemed incredibly powerful while others at the time seemed not so much.
Because of that in this video, I decided to cover the two most fundamental magics in the warcraft universe (Light and the Void) and the subsequent 4 variations (most notably fel and arcane).
Then I get into talking about how powerful these magics are at their sources, how safely they can be utilized and ultimately how potent magic is in wow lore.

I have already said twice that Void Lords can not come to our universe in a physical sense. They do not have a body like the titans do. This is why they made Old gods so that they could be a representation of them in the physical world. 4. Chronicles is not 100% correct. It was written in the perspective of the Titans. There are already things in Chronicles that have been retcon and there are plenty of videos out there that prove this. 5. Void is chaos, void is uncertainty, void is destruction or order, void is darkness. The Void is stronger than Fel in my opinion because even the strongest Fel user (Sargeras) was afraid of the powers of the void and could not stop it because the Void exists eternally.

I would say void and light. Though I understand your point of view regarding light and it being used for mending, that is mainly because we have seen light being used only by younger races who didn't even have a good grasp of it few years back. Hell humans before draenei arrived thought the naaru were angels and made a religion about it and yes thats cannon, which was like..8 years ago? You are comparing users of fel, like demons to humans who only has been using it recently (compared to other creatures you mentioned that is) In lore it is suggested that lightforged were able to use light in combat in far more destructive ways too, even normal draenei does. Before tbc and wod, we only seen humans using the light in the forms of creating hammers of light etc then we got wod and legion and saw it's true potential for destruction. Even in one of the visions of void where it showed light dominating the universe we could see it's true power. Scorched planets...mortals strapped in pure shards of light in perfect stasis, chains of light spanning through the whole cosmos. I know that fel is strong and chaotic but I feel like something that is made to consume all energy back in to it's primodial state to be far more frightening personally. Though I also think we do not have solid basis on whatever void or fel is stronger either as we have seen both wreaking havoc through the cosmos..Fel burnt planets, old god infested worlds....Hell in the audio books we even heard of legion worlds/facilities now overran by creatures of the void. Regarding death, I feel deaths power only spans through the physical realm, it is as strong as the amount of mortals there are, mainly because realms of death gain power through anima which only effects mortal life, as dev's said, demons, creatures of void and light all that are not mortal return to their respective planes upon death, and shadowlands is for mortals and mortals only. And I would also like to point out we haven't even seen anyone wield pure light or shadow, they can't sizzle in to the physical plane, priest artifact backs this up. "The walls between realms are thin here, so easy to tear open. Do you know what would happen if true shadow and light would meet here? (in Netherlight Temple)" What I am trying to say is there is so much we do not know, especially now we know that chronicles are written from titan perspective, and some things even predate them...SO I will leave you with this. "This conflict is but a shadow of an ancient war that predated the meddling of the titans. Infinite armies clashed in ceaseless battle. But I'm sure your little war is impressive... in its own way"

Death is obviously the most effective overall it isnt that corruptive of the user cuz most who use it are already dead. And undeads who use it/other undead created from it are usually more powerful against other magics like fel, void and life maybe even arcane, execpt the light which is an obvious counter... And if u are an necromancer u can become a lich so u can live longer and get more knowledge/power and the more u kill the stronger your army gets numberwise ^^ Death plays the long game and in the end everything will die/fade away. Death comes for all and always wins in the end.

Not really...Honestly, first of all though light hurts undead it isn't the direct opposite, life is. Secondly undead aren't really resilient the magic as far as I know, apart from void and it's whispers? Thirdly, other types of magics also offer long life spans or and immortality, arcane gave elves immortal life spans, green dragons who live in the dream where time matters little get long life spans in lore it is said ysera's consorts are immortal because they spend so much time in the dream. With fel you can turn in to an immortal demon literally, lightforged are immortal age wise so...Take this as a counter argument please.

The part of them being great against magic is not like they counter it or anything its more like they are immune to the corruption from different magics with void and fel being obvious and im sure its easier for an undead to use arcane cuz they dont become addicted like living being do and life is just shit against death. What IS corruption to start it? Most would say corruption is a person losing their personality or getting it affected via magic...Soo by that logic fel users going more chaotic and or turning in to demons--Void users turning less sane has no difference than a death magic user using magic to turn themselves in to undead and losing their emotions in the process? Just a few Demons uses Void magic... Like the Dreadlords and some void creatures enslaved. In the same time, some of Demons uses Arcane and Necromancy magic too... Use Void magic dont say anything

The legion is based on fel because it's the most abundant in the universe and the legion was initially formed largely of demons freed by Sargeras. Magic comes as strog as its wielder. That said, if i would have to bet, light is the one with de most potential, its just the hardest one to become really powerful with, since it isnt like you just go learn it by studing or by taking souls, it goes as far as the invidual's feith, conviction and purity of heart, etc., and those are the characteristics that concieous beings find the hardest to excel in. It also depends on the person's spiritual conection with this force, which is a kind of random thing.

To be fair, any form of magic is powerful/destructive/chaotic. It just depends how much of an amount of that specific power there is. Remember when players get to play as Illidan in Legion, Illidan fought that demon, even tho Fel is more powerful than Arcane, Illidan's amount of arcane energy surpassed the Fel magic that that demon could counter with. To put it simple, 1dollar is bigger than 1penny but if you have 101pennys then that is bigger than 1dollar So it can be any form of magic/energy, Light, Shadow, Arcane, Fel, Life, Death, Elemental, Chi even physical strenght, if one has a lot of any type of power, then its stronger. And it doesn't matter wich form of magic/energy corrupts more, absolute power corrupts absolute, no matter what kind of power it is.

All the schools of magic, beginning with the pure emptiness, then the elements and all the way to the sorce of life itself, Light.Who is most destructive? well it depends on the power of the caster and how the magic is used :) It is not a rank list, it is what is between the void and light, the cosmic sources.

I would say void magic is the strongest... We do not know much about, so it could have really big potential. As fel is the "child" of void i do not think it is that much stronger and if void is more stable then it actually is more reliant. Death magic has proven to be really strong both by Arthas and Sylvanas but i do not think it is the strongest one or even close to the void magic. Ok it is realiable, nor Arthas or Sylvanas have had any probs using it, as far as i know, but still it is not that destructive as worgen for example are way more difficult to get corrupted by it compared to other races. Also the highest known rank of the magic is lich which kinda isn't that much of a deal compared to what Archimonde and Kil'Jaden were able to do. Also don't forget that Sargeras was the one who actually wanted to use Arthas as his puppet to see how a less stronger force than his could be dealt by the world... So i would rank them as Void > Fel > Death destruction wise and Arcane etc as vid mentioned for reliant magic. Still when we learn more about void magic and how stable it is then i may even say Void > Arcane.

Light and Void are the most powerful end of. Yes we could use the rules of concervation of energy to say all magic is as powerful as each other, but that only works for the magic formed after the clash of light and dark, as the rules entropy mean newer states of that energy are weaker than those thay came before, though they are more abundant, usually taking up more room; unfortunately this could mean that if we get a light or void expansion it might be a small place we are visiting... so Tiny xpacs for each, might have to put them together into one xpac. And i will make this clear, Void and Light have to be equally strong as each other, or one would have destroyed the other when they clashed to create the universe of WoW. I for one would actually love to see the true power of the Void, but thinking about the Light being its equal makes me wonder just what the light is capable of also.

Magic is as strong as the person who wields it and all schools of magic have there benefits and downsides. If you go for raw power, then fel was at some point in the lore kind of the most destructive force, but then in game it was also used to corrupt, empower, reanimate, etc. just like all the major cosmic forces that can as well be wielded by magic users, and it seems like whatever force is most dominant at the time will have the greatest magic power. Also muscle power was pretty strong, remember when Sargeras just cleaved planets in half without using any magic.

I mean I wouldn't say death is strongest because we saw one or two void users we all know that whichever race/power/threat blizz focuses on the expansion they portray them as being the most important strongest shit ever in their lore..Only to leave the said race/power/threat to rot after the xpack ends. Really, like...After bc we never heard of the illidari or people of outland, after wotlk we never heard of the continent or races there or undead or yoggy boi or nightmare or vordrassil---After cata dragons were just left out to be rot with no development not even a single line about there whereabouts and were and have been used as drama tools for blizz..list goes on and on..I bet we won't hear anything from demons or fel now..until blizz decides to pull them out again, way blizz writes stuff is that they focus on a single topic most of the time so I believe it is not a good decision to take that as data when you are making a video about strongest magics.

I could believe Death magic is the most powerful, but it's use by a living person would probably slowly (or quickly) kill them. It's probably only "safe" to use when wielded by the undead, limiting its overall usefulness. Perhaps it's the most powerful, but it's likely the least practical for use by non-Death Knight, non-Necromancer mortals, unlike arcane.

Salgeras was afraid of void so he made burning legion to destroy all beings before void take them. Downed demons are automatically back to the home planet and get rebirth but those who took by void magic can’t. Fel magic is strong but void is just not in the same level.

Titans represented Arcana, right? Sargeras saw how strong the Void was, and so he turned to Fel magic. To battle the void? No, he'd lose, even with all the fel magic in existence. So instead, he elected to use the most destructive magic that wouldn't corrupt him, as much, and destroy all life on our plane of existence. To me that says the Void is the strongest. The Old Gods are scattered fingernail clippings of the Void Lord. They're nothing. But even with the Burning Legion on his side, Sargeras peed his pants just thinking about the realm of shadow magic. So I feel like it's the most powerful, but the more you try to control, the more it corrupts.

Uh, that’s a hard no. Void is absolutely the strongest and right next to it is the light. Fel was born of the two so it’s inherently weaker than either. Void is only technically stronger than the light because the void is destructive while the light is restorative. Fel doesn’t even come close to either.

@@thunderfireblaze9728 Void is eternal though. The Void is so strong that it cannot manifest itself in a physical manner. The Fel or Arcane or any other magic were created only after the Void and the Light collided. You could say all other magic were created from the void and light. Personally I think the Void and Light are strongest and it all depends on the user. Death really has no power at all since people can come back from the dead and you can always create life but you cannot create death you can only inherit it. You can cheat death too. As you can see with the forsaken that even the undead are starting to regain some of their previous human qualities. You could argue that they are becoming alive again and that death no longer has power over them.

Fel is for sure winner if we talk about raw power. Every magic has its pros. Light - protective, defense void - corrupting, mind bending arcane - u can create cool stuff with it nature - creating life death - creating undead, also kinda corruptive fel - explosions and mayhem Also if we take that every magic have its god-like entity we dont know anything about entity of light (i don't think naaru count), nature (maybe elune but can't be sure) and fel (sargeras originally was arcane and got corrupted so im not sure if we can count him). And there was that book, which stated that there are some demons , that even burnin legion don't dare to summon.
