Hey family! I discovered we are to follow Torah!!! Pray for me my family is not taking it well.

You are not alone. Be steadfast and sure. Study study study. Don’t argue with them just be patient. My husband still does not see Torah and I have been trying to walk Torah out for almost 8 years. I know the Father will open his eyes but not in my timing. Just trying to persevere and he will come around.

What’s interesting about Malachi 3:6 is that the phrase “I am the Lord, I change not” adds up to 888 in the original Hebrew, which is the greek gematria for Jesus

God bless you all. Jesus came 2000 years ago and established the new covenant as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:31. He established it on the Passover, putting the promise of the new covenant [forgiveness of sins] on the Passover bread and wine symbolizing His flesh and blood. No wonder Jesus said that '..unless you eat the flesh of the Son of Man and drink his blood you have no life in you, whoever eats my flesh and drinks my blood has eternal life'. The old covenant Passover commemorated God's peoples [physical Jews] freedom from physical slavery. This was a shadow of the promise of the new covenant Passover. Now we receive spiritual freedom from the slavery of sin and death, hence the promise of eternal life and forgiveness of sins through the new covenant Passover. The early church kept the new covenant Passover, however this life giving truth was abolished by the little horn [Roman Catholic Church] as prophesied in Daniel 7:25. Pagan customs were introduced onto the church. The 2nd coming Christ is to come and restore the lost Passover, the hidden manna in these last days. The Reformation has past and now the final perfect restoration of the truth has come. Now all peoples are streaming to Mount Zion to learn the ways of the Lord as prophesied in Micah 4:1-2. The 2nd coming Christ has come and has restored Zion, the city of God's Festivals [of the new covenant]. Praise God.

Does the new covenant apply to modern isreal too, or just Gentiles? And Do you still call god YHVH or just call Jesus now? Or do u have to call him by his original name, Yeshua?

The new covenant applies to anyone who has faith in Yeshua, Jew or Gentile (and always has). God has many names that are used throughout the Bible.

The reason why it is difficult to understand where the gentiles fit into the new covenant is because they don't. Not only are we gentiles not under the new covenant but we are not covenant people. We are part of a program separated from the nation Israel called the body of Christ. We know this because of what the apostle Paul says in his epistles romans- philemon. Eph 2:11 "Wherefore remember, that ye being in time past Gentiles in the flesh, who are called Uncircumcision by that which is called the Circumcision in the flesh made by hands; Eph 2:12 That at that time ye were without Christ, being aliens from the commonwealth of Israel, and strangers from the covenants of promise, having no hope, and without God in the world: Eph 2:13 But now in Christ Jesus ye who sometimes were far off are made nigh by the blood of Christ. " The cross broke down the barrier between jew and gentile. But God is not done with the nation Israel, he still is going to fulfill his covenant with them but only after the body of Christ is complete. Don't take my word for it, take a look and see if God has fulfilled his new covenant yet.

You clearly twist scripture to serve your purpose. Jeremiah says he will make a NEW covenant in Jeremiah 31, so it is a new covenant which is different. If it only meant I will make a "same covenant" under a different method. Then you could have the old covenant under Moses. Read Exodus 34:28 and Deut. 4:13. The new Israel is both the Jew and Gentile believers in Christ that follow his commandments referred to by James as the royal law. Love your God and love your neighbor. For he said on these 2 commandments hang all the law and the prophets.

I have a question for you. The covenant HaShem made with Abraham, was that a new covenant and did it replace the covenant he made with Noach?

@@rickw43 The covenant with Abraham was unconditional it did not require Abraham to do anything. Noahs covenant is the same thing if you want to consider it a covenant. Noah did nothing and God said he wouldn't destroy the earth with a flood ever again. Unconditional covenants are not superseeded by a conditiona;l covenant which is what the Old Covenant was with Moses. God said you do this and I'll do that and the people said all that god has asked we will do. I do not see that promise by Abraham or Noah do you? Also I do not see a 2 way covenant in the New Testament do you?

The label Old Testament was not part of the inspired Word. The OT contains much more than the old covenant, which is obvious. To call the OT the old covenant is really a misnomer because it is much more.

I was wondering when he was going to get to that. It was not the Mosaic law he writes on our heart. It is the new covenant. We don't offer sacrifices of animals for sin anymore or the laws of the old covenant. Jesus has fulfilled it. We are no longer under the levitical preisthood.

@@shellyblanchard5788, Jesus is the High Priest after the order of Melchizedek because he serves in the Heavenly Tabernacle with his eternal Resurrected Body, not the earthly Tent, which had priests subject to sin and Death - the Temple was a valid form of worship during the days of the Apostles while it was still standing. Paul even voluntarily paid for other people's offerings in Acts 21 to prove he wasn't abandoning the written Torah or teaching against Jewish halachah. "Thus says the Lord: If you can break my covenant with the day and my covenant with the night, so that day and night will not come at their appointed time, then also my covenant with David my servant may be broken, so that he shall not have a son to reign on his throne, and my covenant with the Levitical priests my ministers." Jer. 33:20 "Now if He [Jesus] were on earth, He would not be a priest, since there are already priests to offer gifts according to the Law." Hebrews 8:4

@@dandeliontea7 I know the scripture you are refuring to. You need to know that Jesus was Rabbi in the temple. He taught the law because it hadn't been fulfilled yet. The Levites were still charge of the temple at that time. After he fulfilled what written of him in the law and the prophets he was in charge of the priesthood. We are now under a different covenant and preisthood altogether. That is why we don't have to offer animal sacrifices for atonement of sins anymore.

Just like the covenant God made with himself when Abraham was in a deep sleep, the Son of God made a covenant with the father while we were dead in our sins. Christ is Israel. See hosea 11:1. Apostle Matthew connects Jesus with Israel. The new covenant is not with you, but with the Son of God. That is why you live by his faith and by his life.

The Torah was not written on your heart. That would just be a new method of applying the Old Covenant. God's purpose does not change, his methods do change.

Exactly right. The Torah was the old covenant type of works to be righteous. The new covenant was with faith Christ. It was his blood that made us righteous , not the blood of animals. It only covered sin it didn't wash away the sin. That is why it was remembered year after year. The new covenant makes it not remembered year after year.
