Fully support sustainable touring practices. As touring musicians ourselves, we left NYC, bought a sailboat and have been touring show to show this way since 2012. Anytime you want to hop aboard, we have a flutist and accordionist captains aboard! Blessing Leah😍

I just happened to stumble on to your music on KZbin. I just started playing the dulcimer by following an online teacher and the name Rising Appalachia caught my attention. When I listened to your band the first time I Knew the band was the most unique I have ever heard. I have since bought 3 of your albums. I find your music very inspiring and recognize what is missing in music today. Your songs bring back the attention to the social injustices, racism and environmental crises that's we are faced with today in the same way the antiwar movement did in the 60s. The song Occupy is one of my favorites. Thank you for what you are doing.

I'm reminded of Carl Jung writing of his idea of the "Self Actualized Person", that being one who is "authentic" in their pursuit of living the life that they desire. This leads to true integrity, contentment and happiness. Thanks for what you do Leah.

Slow burn works. Can certainly produce dramatic results. I have recently experienced a spiritual breakthrough, not enlightenment, and Rising Appalachia and Ayla Nereo have been a common intro to my meditation. Really gets me into the heart space. Very grateful.

Inspiring idea. Have you considered touring by bicycle? Two groups I know of have traveled through here on concert tour (Eugene, Oregon) by bicycle. They were able to play in smaller locations than Amtrak stops would allow and at more locations. Definitely "slow" travel. If a concern is adverse weather you could use velomobiles (streamlined enclosed cycles).

Leah, do you watch these comments? Oh, I hope so--I want to talk to you about an aspect of a project rising through me - troubadours in a Circulation System of Spirit connecting nodes of humanity that form the body of the One that we are (who knew?) All selves of the Body need sustenance - "man does not live by bread alone". I hear your plans in this (5 years ago!) and see you are (could be?) another stepping stone (yellow brick in the road?) taking us forward to manifestation of the plan I was "given". Please find me; I'm looking for you...

I like their melodies, and I like some of their songs as long as they aren't political occupy crap, but there is nothing new in this concept. Leftwing hippies have been talking this crap for decades. Once they get more recognized and sell more albums they'll get a bigger van or a bus and they'll buy bigger homes and put money in the bank. They'll be like everyone else. Colleges are full of people like this, they talk this talk because it's what they are taught or pressured into saying, but they are in college. Why? Not so they can subsistence live, no. It is so they can make six figure salaries, so they can be the next Bill Gates, Steve Jobs or Mark Zuckerberg. Love that video Thank You Very Much that Leah does, great voice.
