The Three Kings parade is absolutely my favorite holiday in Spain. I love the community feeling, and the pure joy of the children,families of all ages enjoying and having a great time together, is a part of Christmas, and is the biggest Christmas Day in Spain, is the day when children receive their gifts, December 25th is more of a family gathering and having a great meal with the family.

4:57 I think I can help with who is who xd All the people in the parade are the page/helpers of the 3 kings. These helpers are divided amongst the different tasks they must make, and there are 3 "more important" helpers. In the parade, the order is as follows: -The "patge estel" (star helper) is the one helping the kings with navigation (you know, that thing from rhe Bible that the 3 kings followed a star to Jesus, etc). It appears with the giant star at the beggining. -The next standalone important character is Gregori, the one helper in charge of the city of Barcelona (other cities and towns have their own too). It is sometimes confused with the 1st king xd - Then, the 3 kings come: Melcior (white beard), Gaspar (brown beard) and Baltasar (he's a black person). The last but not the least is Omar, the helper in charge of... CANDY!!!! Between the kings you can find different tasks the helpers do: there are the ones in charge of mail, toys, the ones reminding you to go early to bed and, of course, the coal miners (cuase if you've not behaved well, then the 3 kings will bring you coal!!!). I hope this helped! :) Edit: And the balloon people are not from the parade, they just know where they can make some good money xd Edit 2: and this ont only Catalan Christmas: most Hispanic countries, and I've heard that indeed all Roman Catholic and maybe also Orthodox celebrate the 3 kings! :)
