I think everyone's maintenance dose will be subjective to their own body and how it reacts. After I hit my goal body fat % my doctor and I are going back down a dose and so forth like you said 4 weeks so I can gain more muscle mass and get to where I want to be. I think finding that right dosing and spacing it out can keep it affordable and sustainable for myself.
@DeskundigeLevenscoachenMeester5 күн бұрын
If your doc signed off on that plan then you need a new one. There are 3 top tier things needed to gain muscle mass. Food, Exercise (leading to muscle hypertrophy) and sleep. How do you expect to gain muscle mass while taking a drug that slows gastric emptying making you not interested in eating enough food to gain muscle. Thats retarded!

This is why I'm trying to keep my maximum dose as low as possible. Its actually a benefit of using a compounding pharmacy - I can adjust in increments between the pen doses that Ozempic comes in. I'm trying to eat better, I've always been an exercise freak so that was never my problem, with the goal of using this stuff to supercharge my weight loss program. Then I'll follow your advice and try to back down slowly and monitor how I'm doing till I'm either off the stuff entirely, or I'm down to a lower amount, though to be honest my amount is so low now that I suspect that getting off it entirely is not going to be a problem.

Friends don't let friends use compounded semaglutide. Compounders never reveal the source of their "semaglutide". A lot of them are using semaglutide salts which have not been tested in humans. Novo Nordisk is going after them for trademark infringement. I'm all about getting affordable drugs, but no fan of injecting "mystery juice".

1. Dr Dan IS NOT a doctor. Not a doctor of any type. He is a pharmacist. I'm sorry but being a pharmacist does not make you qualified tooffer medical advice of any type with the exception of perhaps info regarding OTC things. Telling people stay on the medication forever at the same dose, or any other dose for that matter, is not only irresponsible but it is also highly incorrect. he keeps using the term "WE". Who exactly is "WE" as again he is not a doctor of any type, again he is only a pharmacist! While you are taking any of the GLP-1 you also need to be relearning how to eat to live vs living to eat which is the problem people generally suffer from. If you have not learned how to maintain a healthy level of nutrition and exercise then you have missed the entire point. AGAIN, there is NO maintenance dose for any of these GLP-1 medications. They were NEVER meant to be taken for life! Long term administration of these drugs is where you are going to see the most serious and negative issues with them, which is again, another reason why you do not stay on them forever!!! if in fact you do not learn how to eat more healthy and maintain a healthy level of activity/lifestyle and instead then opt to try and take any of these medications for life then YES INDEED, you are most definitely a FAILURE as you have failed to learn the life lessons required to lead a healthier, happier life without the drugs! There is no one, who is otherwise healthy, that has absolutely any reason or legitimate way to justify taking these drugs for life. You are simply lying to yourself with whatever justifications you are citing! I can't stress this enough or state it loudly enough. Stop listening to these quacks that are telling people it is ok to take these GLP-1 drugs for life if you need to, and by need, again, I mean people who THINK they need to simply because they refuse to change their eating habits/lifestyle to be healthier! And NO, you are not allergic to carbs, you do not have a genetic predisposition in your family to being fat, and you DO NOT need to take these drugs for life if you get up off your behind, lead an active healthy life and for god sakes stop stuffing your cake hole every chance you get!
